FROM MARK MALLETT:

The Cosmic Surgery

THERE are many things burning on my heart, and so I will continue to write whenever possible throughout Christmas. I will send you an update shortly on my book as well as the online television show we are preparing to launch.

First published July 5th, 2007…

PRAYING before the Blessed Sacrament, the Lord seemed to explain why the world is entering a purification that now, seems irreversible.

Throughout the history of My Church, there have been times when the Body of Christ has taken ill. At those times I have sent remedies.

What came to mind are those times when we are sick with a cold or flu. We sip some chicken soup, drink fluids, and get much needed rest. So too with the Body of Christ, when it has become ill with apathy, corruption, and impurity, God has sent the remedies of saints, holy men and women—the chicken soup of souls—who reflect Jesus to us, moving hearts and even nations to repentance. He has inspired movements and communities of love to bring about healing and newfound zeal. In these ways, God has restored the Church in the past.

But when cancer grows in the body, these remedies will not cure it. The cancer must be cut out.

And such is our society today. The cancer of sin has overtaken nearly every facet of society, corrupting the food chain, water supply, economics, politics, science, medicine, the environment, education, and religion itself. This cancer has embedded itself into the very foundations of culture, and can only be "cured" by completely removing it.

REAPING AND SOWING

Part of the purification will be the result of humanity "reaping what it has sown." We are already seeing these consequences unfold before our very eyes. The culture of death has left the populations of the Western developed nations depleted, and worse, the dignity of the human person denied. The culture of greed, on the other hand, has evolved into societies which are driven by profit, resulting in increased poverty, slavery to the economic system, and the destruction of the family through materialistic forces.

And the prospect of a devastating war continues to loom, making the "Cold War" look rather warm in comparison.

But the purification and restoration of the environment, food chain, soil, oceans and lakes, forests, and air we breath is a surgery of cosmic proportions. It means that many of the harmful systems and technologies we currently use to manipulate, dominate, and exploit nature must be removed, and the damage they’ve done healed. And this, God will do Himself.

God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions, and other evils; it shall originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. —Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, Catholic Prophecy, P. 76

In the end, we must understand this purification as something good, ultimately, an act of mercy. We already know the end of the story. Just as a pregnant mother knows the joy which is coming, she also knows she must go through the labor pains and delivery.

But the painful process will bring new life… a Coming Resurrection.

If God turns nations’ poisonous joys into bitterness, if He corrupts their pleasures, and if He scatters thorns along the path of their riot, the reason is that He loves them still. And this is the holy cruelty of the Physician, who, in extreme cases of sickness, makes us take most bitter and most horrible medicines. The greatest mercy of God is not to let those nations remain in peace with each other who are not at peace with Him. —St. Pio of Pietrelcina, My Daily Catholic Bible, p. 1482
