On Saturday, May 8, 9 a.m., St. Benedict Church will host its annual May procession and crowning to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God. All are welcome to participate.

Led by the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard and a choir, a statue of Mary will be carried in procession around the church. Inside, the statue will be crowned and adorned while a Marian hymn is sung. The rosary will be recited, as well.

On Monday, May 2, 2 p.m., Holy Rosary Academy will host its outdoor May procession and crowning. The archdiocesan school is named for the famous Marian prayer.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
