Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! My prayer today is for all of you who seek the grace of conversion. You knock on the door of my heart, but without hope and prayer, in sin, and without the Sacrament of Reconciliation with God. Leave sin and decide, little children, for holiness. Only in this way can I help you, hear your prayers and seek intercession before the Most High. Thank you for having responded to my call."   (May 25, 2011)

Confession

Our Lady is treating us like a little bit older children in this message.  She is saying to us that we have to help her now.  She can't do everything for us anymore.  We have to show her that we have a desire and a will to change.

This is good parenting, actually, because unless children understand the power of their own freedom, of their will, and unless they understand that the consequences that they experience of their behavior really are under their own power to change, that they can change their behavior and not have those consequences anymore; unless they understand this, they will not take responsibility for their life.  She wants us to know that it is in our power to will to change.  We have to take that step, and then she can do the rest.  But we have to take that step.

So, like a good mother, Our Lady is calling us to grow up and take responsibility for our conversion.  Our conversion is in our hands.  We can't expect Our Lady to convert us.  That is not in her power.  Our conversion is in our own hands!  We have to choose to convert, to choose to renounce sin, to choose to hope in God and to choose to pray.  As we do this, she will assist us through her intercession.  Just like a good mother, she will be there to help us, to encourage us, and to find ways for us to succeed!

It's tough to grow up.  But our true dignity as children of God will grow as we take responsibility for our own conversion.  Thank you, dear Mother, for being such a good mother!

In Jesus and Mary!
