The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Dear Family of Mary!

Today we celebrate the amazing meeting of Mother Mary and her cousin, Elizabeth. Both women were bearing miraculous children!! Elizabeth conceived after years of barrenness, through God's promise to her husband, Zechariah! Impossible without a miracle!! And Mother Mary conceived the Son of God by the incredible infilling of the Holy Spirit at the word of the Angel Gabriel! Impossible, amazing, incredible!! But both women learned that all things are possible with God!!

Here is the account of their meeting when Mary traveled in haste to visit Elizabeth at the direction of the Archangel Gabriel. Don't you just love their prophetic utterances to each other!! Wow!!!:

In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.

And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb;

and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry,

"Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy.

And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord."

And Mary said,

"My soul magnifies the Lord,

and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden.

For behold, henceforth all generations

will call me blessed;

for he who is mighty has done great things for me,

and holy is his name.

And his mercy is on those who fear him

from generation to generation.

He has shown strength with his arm,

he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts,

he has put down the mighty from their thrones,

and exalted those of low degree;

he has filled the hungry with good things,

and the rich he has sent empty away.

He has helped his servant Israel,

in remembrance of his mercy,

as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham

and to his posterity forever."

And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her home. (Luke 1:39-56, RSV-CE)

We need to let these miracles sink in to our hearts. We need to believe in miracles in our day as well! God is still actively implementing His plan for our salvation in the world today. Blessed is she who believed!! Blessed are we who believe as well!!

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ May 30, 2024 The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ Dear Family of Mary! Today we observe the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ! It is a very important celebration in our Church! Jesus' Body and Blood, given to us as Heavenly Food, to nourish us on our arduous way to Heaven, is the miracle of all miracles!! Unbelievable!! (Some dioceses have transferred this Solemnity to the following Sunday.) Here are Our Lord's very words when He established His bodily presence with us until He would come again: While they were eating, He took bread, said the blessing, broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is my body.” Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many. Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink again the fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.” Then, after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.  Mark 14: 22-26 Today, in Medjugorje, the parish holds a Corpus Christi Procession, directly after the Evening Mass! The priests and faithful will process with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament throughout the village of Medjugorje! It is always so moving!! Mary TV will stream this event "live". Here is a Message from Our Lady given to Mirjana Soldo, in which Our Lady spoke to us about the gift of Her Son's Body and Blood! Very moving: July 2, 2015  "Dear children, I am calling you to spread the faith in my Son - your faith. You, my children illuminated by the Holy Spirit, my apostles, transmit it to others - to those who do not believe, who do not know, who do not want to know - but for that you must pray a lot for the gift of love, because love is the mark of true faith - and you will be apostles of my love. Love always, anew, revives the pain and the joy of the Eucharist, it revives the pain of the Passion of my Son, by which He showed you what it means to love immeasurably; it revives the joy for having left you His Body and Blood to feed you with Himself - and in this way, to be one with you. Looking at you with tenderness, I feel immeasurable love which strengthens me in my desire to bring you to a firm faith. Firm faith will give you joy and happiness on earth and in the end the encounter with my Son. This is His desire. Therefore, live Him, live love, live the light that always illuminates you in the Eucharist. I implore you to pray a lot for your shepherds, to pray so as to have all the more love for them because my Son gave them to you to feed you with His body and to teach you love. More prayer with the heart! May 29, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling you to prayer with the heart... (May 25, 2024) Here is another set of messages about prayer with the heart. It is good to take time with each message and let Our Lady's words sink deeply into our hearts. She has a way of saying things that is personal and individual! The truth she speaks is simple and pure! We will be blessed if we take her words to heart!! April 25, 1987 "Dear children! Today also I am calling you to prayer. You know, dear children, that God grants special graces in prayer. Therefore, seek and pray in order that you may be able to comprehend all that I am giving here. I call you, dear children, to prayer with the heart. You know that without prayer you cannot comprehend all that God is planning through each one of you. Therefore, pray! I desire that through each one of you God's plan may be fulfilled, that all which God has planted in your heart may keep on growing. Prayer with the heart! May 28, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling you to prayer with the heart... (May 25, 2024) Our Lady calls us to prayer with the heart! I am gathering some of her messages about prayer with the heart for us to meditate upon. Let her call to us grow into a deep longing! May we desire prayer with the heart. It is the way to union with God!! Here are five messages for today: August 11, 1984 (Saturday) "Dear children! Pray, because satan wishes to complicate my plans still further. Pray with the heart and surrender yourselves to Jesus in prayer." September 20, 1984 "Dear children! Today I call on you to begin fasting with the heart. There are many people who are fasting, but only because everyone else is fasting. It has become a custom which no one wants to stop. I ask the parish to fast out of gratitude because God has allowed me to stay this long in this parish. Dear children, fast and pray with the heart. Thank you for having responded to my call." May 30, 1985 "Dear children! I call you again to prayer with the heart. Let prayer, dear children, be your everyday food in a special way when your work in the fields is so wearing you out that you cannot pray with the heart.
