From Mark Mallett: The Coming Restoration of the Family:

The Coming Restoration of the Family

Family, by Michael D. O’Brien

ONE of the most common concerns I hear is from family members worried about their loves ones who have fallen away from the faith. This response was first published February 7th, 2008…

WE often say "Noah’s ark" when we speak of that famous boat. But it wasn’t just Noah who survived: God saved a family

Together with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, Noah went into the ark because of the waters of the flood. (Gen 7:7)

The Love of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary: "I Watched You" by Rita Ring

August 11, 1994

I Watched You

Jesus speaks: Oh, how I watched you, child. I watched you as I gave you each little sign of My love. I watched you grow in your faith and trust in Me. I watched you suffer and stood so close you could have touched Me, but you didn't know that this suffering would be that which led you to My tender love for you.

I watched you when you surrendered and turned your will over to Me and I watched you cry, knowing this was the most joyous day of your life. I watched you see visions of doors and knew you would want to go through those doors, but they were not the doors you thought, they were the doors I gave you for greater union with Me. I watched you, child, when you wrote down My first letter to you and I saw your confusion and joy, knowing what these letters would do to touch so many hearts.

I watched you, child. I watched you when I showed you My Heart and you were so warmed by this Heart and so awed by its vision, but you didn't know what this vision would mean for many to draw their hearts to My burning love.

I watched you surrender each time as you let go of each little thing, as you were dying to self. I watched you through this surrender grow closer to Me. I watched you grow in this deep love for Me, step by step. I watched our love grow as you gave more of yourself in prayer. I watched you, child, and I loved being ever closer to you.

I watched you struggle in such trials that you thought tomorrow would never come, knowing that this trial was what would give you more freedom and love for Me. I watched you learn each lesson through hard tests and I was so close while you struggled, but did not remove the struggle, knowing you would not learn your lesson if I had.

I watched you, child, through each joy and pain and I loved you silently, always with you, and you never knew how close I truly was to you.

Song: From the Day You Were Born…

From the day you were born, I watched you. Forever by your side, I guarded you, I loved you. I know the most secret desire of your heart far better than you yourself know. I know the Father's plan for you. I know the Father's love for you. I know the love poured on you from the Holy Spirit and how Mary is forever by your side.

I watch you, child, constantly guarding you and your ways and you do not know the love I have for you. You do not know how My Heart burns for love of you. And, someday, My beautiful child, you will know what I have in store for you, My beloved.

Come and be with Me. Grow in your love with Me. I never leave you, My beloved. Remember, I am forever watching you.

Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer: Spirit & Life - We Don't Believe You, Mr. President

We Don't Believe You, Mr. President

Dear President Obama,

Every citizen with a modicum of insight into public affairs would say that America is now at a crossroads of decision about what kind of future we want for our nation-and, by extension, for the rest of the world. Whether we like it or not, you are the one who is designated by a vote of the electorate to lead us in that decision-making process. You have asked for the job, and you have proposed yourself as being competent for it. History will judge your Administration on its own merits when your term is complete, but we, the citizens of this country, must judge it for what we see happening before our very eyes. Quite frankly, the picture isn't pretty, and you haven't earned our respect as a leader.

The reason for this, Mr. President, is that we can't believe what you say, and frankly, what you do is utterly unbelievable at times.

The recent Gulf Coast oil spill disaster is indicative of your utter carelessness with the onerous burden of governance.  Not only did you dis the families of the 11 workers killed in the disaster, but you also attended fundraisers in CA, a trip to the golf course and several state parties in the White House during the whole time the Governor of Louisiana has been screaming frantically for your attention. How can you expect us to believe that you were actually "in charge" of handling the disaster? In six weeks we have seen hardly a shred of evidence to convince us of that. A leader who says he is in charge of something and then conducts a systematic campaign of blaming, dodging, obfuscating, ignoring and even now prosecuting the others involved-instead of fixing the problem-will hardly go down in the record books as the savior he proposed himself to be when you were elected. You are the Commander-in-Chief who has gone AWOL on a truly national crisis.

On top of all that, you basically blew off a sacred national holiday, Memorial Day, for the sake of a vacation to gangsterland. That slap in the face to our military men and women was not lost on anyone, nor was the narcissistic disregard for American history or anything other than what fits your extreme political agenda. These are appalling traits for the one who holds the highest political office in our land, and only a fawning and dishonest media allows you to get away with this negligence in office.

Speaking of which, what are we to make of your pathetic excuse for the crime of attempting to bribe Congressman Sestak to bow out of the Senate race against Arlen Specter? Do you really think Americans believe the utterly implausible story about offering him a "non-paying" position on some presidential panel? Your Administration's explanation, issued on the afternoon of a holiday weekend, rings hollow, and everyone knows it. "Hollow" is an adequate word to describe your Administration, your political theatre and your rhetoric. Even some of your staunchest ideological supporters admit that it is getting increasingly hard to believe that you mean anything you say.

In the midst of all this domestic incompetence and dishonesty, we have seen no realistic response to North Korean, Iranian or Turkish aggression on the world scene. Foreign politicians know you are a leftist lightweight, and so we can expect more of the same from the rogue nations of the world, further destabilizing the security of our nation and the world. We have, however, seen you and your inept band of political marauders pander to foreign dictators and exploit the Mexican President to abuse us and our national deliberations on serious issues. We have seen your ideological hacks take over whole industries, plunder the private sector, abuse the good will of states and consume sound American institutions as if they were your enemies and with a ferocity that would befit only those who we would call our true national enemies.

Like the Gulf oil spill, your Administration is out of control, and every day is another step closer to disaster. As the oil continues to pollute, kill and damage the external beauty and economy of a whole region, you and your team are doing the same with the trust of the people who built this great country.

We deserve better, Mr. President, and it's time you start doing your job.

Sincerely,

Fr. Tom Signature

Transfer of the Diocesan Bishop: New Administrator Selected in Orlando

Reverend Richard Walsh to serve

The Diocese of Orlando College of Consultors met on Thursday, June 3 to select a Diocesan Administrator for the Diocese of Orlando. The Diocesan Administrator will serve until a bishop is duly appointed by the pope. In the Diocese of Orlando, the College of Consultors is comprised of 8 priests who were previously appointed by Most Reverend Thomas Wenski. They are Monsignor Patrick Caverly, Monsignor Manuel Fernandez, Reverend Paul Henry, Reverend Sean Heslin, Reverend Robert Hoeffner, Reverend Christopher Hoffmann, Reverend Gregory Parkes, and Reverend Richard Walsh. After deliberation, the Consultors elected Reverend Richard Walsh as the Diocesan Administrator. The appointment is effective immediately with all the rights and responsibilities it entails.

“Reverend Richard Walsh is very pastoral, a hardworker, and extremely dedicated to the priesthood,” said Monsignor Caverly, one member of the College of Consultors. “I could not be more pleased with this selection.”

Reverend Richard Walsh has served as pastor of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park since August 21, 1985, and chairs the priest personnel board of the Diocese of Orlando. He is also a member of the Diocese of Orlando Presbyteral Council. He was ordained priest on June 16, 1968. His assignments since ordination are as follows:

1968-1972: Associate Pastor of Church of Our Saviour, Cocoa Beach

1969-1972: Part-Time Religious Education Teacher at Melbourne Central Catholic High School

1972-1974: Director of Religious Education, Diocese of Orlando; Part-Time Associate at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Winter Park

1974-1975: Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes, Daytona Beach

1975-1985: Pastor of Church of Our Saviour, Cocoa Beach

1985-present: Pastor of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Winter Park

The Governance of a Diocese Upon Transfer of the Diocesan Bishop

When Archbishop Thomas Wenski formally took possession of the Archdiocese of Miami, the diocese from which he has been transferred becomes “vacant” and remains so until a new bishop is appointed by the pope. Within eight days of the diocese becoming vacant, the College of Consultors, which consists of anywhere from six to twelve priests previously appointed by the bishop, is required to meet to elect a diocesan administrator. In the Diocese of Orlando, the College of Consultors consists of eight priests. The diocesan administrator will govern the diocese until a new bishop is named, and has much of the same power as a diocesan bishop with certain exceptions.

The selection of a new diocesan bishop is the responsibility of the pope who consults with the Congregation for Bishops at the Vatican, the papal nuncio (the pope’s representative in the United States), and the bishops of the province. There is no time limit for the appointment of a new diocesan bishop. This is completely at the discretion of the pope.

The Love of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary: "And Their Eyes Peered Into One Another's Eyes" by Rita Ring

August 10, 1994

After Mass, Fr. Smith’s Chapel

And Their Eyes Peered Into One Another's Eyes

Messenger: See Mary as she beholds the baby in her arms. She looks at Him so tenderly. His sweet baby eyes look up at the eyes of His loving Mother. Such tenderness between Mother and Son, such oneness to hold her infant Son so lovingly in her arms. Oh, do we ever know the tenderness between a baby and his loving mother?

A life of close union between this Mother and this Son, a life of her looking into His loving eyes. Such silent, but strong and loving communication! Such a strong bond-Their eyes meeting-from one soul to the other soul.

Song: See the Eyes That Look at Mary (Verse l)…

Deep, deep communication, a deep bond, indescribable in words, a touching of the souls! And the peering look between Son and Mother on the road to the crucifixion. What a peering look, what communication between this Son and Mother. Seeing the other suffer was as agonizing as each's very own suffering - suffering and oneness between a Son and His Mother. A peering look, deep into the very souls. Such an intimacy between Them!

How can one describe in words this oneness, this union between the Son and His Mother? The perfect love between Him and her. Total giving of each person in such love to the other. To see the suffering of the other was as agonizing as-if not more than-each's own suffering.

How His passion and crucifixion were intensified by the sufferings of His dear Mother! How her sufferings were such a sharing in our redemption, the swords that pierced her heart! The eyes of Mary that invisibly bled as she watched such brutality to the beloved Baby she once carried in her womb and held in her arms!

Song: Little Baby Hands and Feet…

Mary held the Child Jesus when He was a baby; she watched Him and cared for Him as a little boy; she was so attentive to the needs of her little Son. Will we ever know this connectedness between Their loving Hearts? Do we know this oneness? The peering eyes on the way to Calvary tell the story. They tell the story of this oneness. They tell the story of her watching this horrid event of her beautiful baby Son and His horrible passion and death.

Her eyes! Oh, Mary, help me to see the love of Jesus through your eyes! You watched Him as a baby, you watched Him as a child. You watched Him grow into the beautiful Man He became and you, Mary, watched Him all through this bitter passion and death. Your eyes saw the love that He gave for us. Now you come, Mary. You appear to tell us to go to this Son. You knew more than anyone His love to suffer so for us. You come and appear with blood in your eyes and tears running down your cheeks. You show me your sorrowful face, your young face, your old face, your joyful face. This was the face Jesus peered at as He walked His walk to Calvary. This was the face that appears now to tell us the story of His love this very day. I see your parade of faces, Mary, old and young, sorrowful and joyful. I see these faces that Jesus beheld. Your face tells the story of His love for us.

Mary speaks: This is my beloved Son. This is my Baby. This is the Child I bore in my womb. He came to give you love. He came to be God-made-Man among you this very day. He is, my children, no less present in the Eucharist than He was at Calvary and you go after such incidental things. My Son loves you. I show you my face so you can tell the world of our love. Live our lives in the rosary. Let our lives live in your day. The way to eternal happiness is to be likened to my beautiful Son.

I watched my Son. I lead you to the ardent love of my Son, Jesus. His Heart burns for love of you. Come to Him this day. Give Him your love. Spend time with Him. He is alive and in your midst in the Eucharist.

Messenger:. Note: I smelled roses very strongly throughout this message.

Song: See the Eyes That Look at Mary (Verse 2)…

This is the Son of the Father, the Son of God, born of Mary through the Holy Spirit, and He lives this day in your hearts. Share His love for you. Go to Him through Mary's heart. She who is so closely united to Jesus! Their Hearts are so close to one another! As their eyes were joined in such oneness, Their Hearts are joined in such intimacy. Go to Jesus' Heart through His beloved Mother, through her who bore Him in her womb, her who watched Him give Himself for love of you.

Cyprus Trip a Political Minefield for the Pope

Tribulation Times

READ THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: http://www.oneyearbibleonline.com/june.asp?version=63&startmmdd=0101

June 2, 2010

(2Ti 1:12) and therefore I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.

HEADLINE: Cyprus Trip a Political Minefield for the Pope

Pope Benedict XVI, often under fire for political missteps on foreign trips, is heading into a potential diplomatic storm when he visits Cyprus this week, a pilgrimage to a divided island that could anger Turkey and the rest of the Muslim world.

Divisions between Greeks and ethnic Turks, splits in the Orthodox Christian community, and concerns over damaged Christian and Muslim houses of worship will be come under scrutiny during Benedict's three-day trip starting Friday.

The Cyprus trip comes just days after the island's leaders — Greek Cypriot President Dimitris Christofias and the newly elected president of the breakaway Turkish Cypriots, Dervis Eroglu — resumed peace talks after a two-month pause.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has urged the rival leaders to ensure that the reunification talks do not fall apart, warning that time is working against them.

Cyprus police say that although they are aware of possible protests by some religious groups against the pope's trip, there have been no credible threats to his safety.

"We are continuing our planning regarding the pope's safety and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure that not even the slightest incident will take place," said police spokesman Michalis Katsounotos.

Some hardline Orthodox clerics, who view the pope as a heretic, say Benedict should stay in Rome to avoid provoking the island's 800,000 Orthodox.

Benedict on Sunday said he was "making an apostolic journey to Cyprus, to meet and pray with the Catholic and Orthodox faithful there."

VATICAN RADIO: Fr Lombardi Editorial : Why Cyprus?

“Many people wonder why the Pope is going to Cyprus to meet with the Bishops of the Middle East and give them the working guidelines for the next Synod, the great ecclesial meeting scheduled for next October. The answer is quite simple. We only have to read the Acts of the Apostles, the account of the first steps in proclaiming the Gospel to the world after the Resurrection of Jesus.

Cyprus is mentioned at least six times. Barnabas comes from Cyprus, one of the first to join the community of the apostles in Jerusalem. Cyprus is the first stop – both troubled and fertile – on the first missionary journey of Paul, Barnabas and the future evangelist Mark. Barnabas returns to evangelize Cyprus when he is separated from Paul. Paul passes back and forth along the coasts of Cyprus on his travels, even on his final journey, which brings him to Malta and then to Rome.

Moreover, we only have to glance at the map to see that Cyprus is a strategic crossroads, and therefore also a cultural and spiritual one, in a region with a history that is closely connected to the Holy Land. It lay on the route of Jewish and Christian pilgrims on their way to and from Jerusalem, of travellers between East and West, between Asia and Europe. While on the one hand it surprises us that John Paul II never set foot there, it is no surprise that Benedict XVI has gladly accepted the invitation to go there, as a visitor and a pilgrim, on a journey that is an ideal continuation of his visit to Malta, travelling along the Mediterranean towards the East. It is a journey that also recalls last years fundamental voyage to the Holy Land itself.

Cyprus, therefore, invites us to look around, to pray and hope for an announcement and service of the Gospel that is a source of dialogue, of ecclesial communion, human growth and peace for all, in a region that is dear to all believers, but which is still experiencing too much suffering and division”.

[MaryVitamin] With Our Lady

Mary Vitamin for June 3rd

Topic
: With Our Lady, In Our Lady, For Our Lady

Quote:
St. Maximilian Kolbe
[A]ll the fruits of your activities depend on union with her...
Bro. Francis M. Kalvelage, FI, ed. Kolbe: Saint of the Immaculata, (Academy of the Immaculate), 155.

Meditation:
"Mary's role in the Church is inseparable from her union with Christ and flows directly from it. 'This union of the mother with the Son in the work of salvation is made manifest from the time of Christ's virginal conception up to his death'; it is made manifest above all at the hour of his Passion:

Thus the Blessed Virgin advanced in her pilgrimage of faith, and faithfully persevered in her union with her Son unto the cross. There she stood, in keeping with the divine plan, enduring with her only begotten Son the intensity of his suffering, joining herself with his sacrifice in her mother's heart, and lovingly consenting to the immolation of this victim, born of her: to be given, by the same Christ Jesus dying on the cross, as a mother to his disciple, with these words: 'Woman, behold your son.'(LG)"

Resolution:
Today, when I think of a problem (whether it is the most petty or truly the most serious), I will think of Our Lady next to me. I will give Her the problem and remember my life is supposed to be spent busy with Our Lady, in Our Lady, and for Our Lady. In this way, even my problems will bear fruit because they will help me to practice union with her.

Marian Vow:
Historical notes from the Marian Seraphic Pathways,
The need to provide a rule and precise structure for this ever growing circle of the faithful led to the erection of the public Association known as the Mission of the Immaculate Mediatrix (M.I.M.). The approval of the relative legislation was given twice, first on the solemnity of the Epiphany in l991, with the approval of the Legislation of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate on the part of the Archbishop of Benevento, Msgr. Carlo Minchiatti; a second time, separately and independently of the particular legislation of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, on May 24, 1997, by the Archbishop of Benevento, Msgr. Serafino Sprovieri.
In this way the family of the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Immaculate has expanded in and for the Church, sharing thereby the gift of unlimited consecration to the Immaculate with ever more believers, with the goal of consecrating totally all hearts on earth to the Immaculate Mediatrix of all graces.
Introduction to the Marian Seraphic Pathways

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.

Summer reading from Anne, a lay apostle

With summer just around the corner, some of us will be traveling or having a bit more free time, and looking for a good book to add to our reading list or share with a friend.  We would like to recommend one or more of the books written by Anne, a lay apostle. These books are not only captivating, but often have life-long benefits, as illustrated by the many testimonials we receive from people across the world.

Here’s what one lay apostle wrote after reading Climbing the Mountain, in which Anne describes her mystical experience of Heaven and how God wants us to live while on earth:
“This book is amazing! As I sat for weeks in the hospital with my mom, I relied on all the insights it gave me on trust, suffering and ultimately death. My fears were taken away, and I actually experienced a great sense of calm.  Every time I have read this book since, I have experienced new graces.”

In Mist of Mercy, Anne writes in clear, comforting language about the reality of spiritual warfare, as well as her mystical experience of purgatory. This is part of a testimonial we received:
“A friend told me I should read this book, so I did. That’s how and when the beautiful graces and blessings started. I have read all of the Volumes, as well, and they have healed me immensely and I attribute my healing and getting over my husband’s death to these books.”

Serving in Clarity is Anne’s latest book, in which Jesus shows her the state of the world from His perspective, and how, specifically, we can make a difference in the world. Here’s what one lay apostle wrote:
“It delivers on what the title hints at- clarity. There are clear messages that inspire the attitude and life of service that we are all called to as Christians.”

Heavenly Healing was born when lay apostle Bonnie Shoemaker began to record testimonies from lay apostles throughout the world. Sister Briege McKenna wrote:
"Anyone who doubts the power of God should read this book.”

Many continue to be touched, comforted, and inspired by these books. Consider ordering them today for yourself or for those you care about. It may be the best gift you ever give.

Our Lady Queen of Peace June 2nd Message:

Medjugorje Headlines

Clear the Way

Our Lady Queen of Peace of Medjugorje’s June 2, 2010 Message
Given on the Day for Non-Believers

The visionary Marija spoke to A Friend of Medjugorje several months ago and relayed to him that Italy was experiencing a profound awakening in regards to Medjugorje. That has been easily confirmed in Medjugorje because over the past couple of months the Italians have been arriving by the thousands for Mirjana’s second of the month apparitions. Because so many Italians are in the village, the daily Italian Mass is held in the area of the outside altar during these days, as St. James Church is well under the capacity to hold the majority of them.

Radio WAVE Live

With this much greater influx of pilgrims coming in for Mirjana’s apparitions, those pilgrims who want to be near Mirjana, and hopefully catch a glimpse of her face while she is seeing Our Lady, have to arrive earlier and earlier the night before because there is more competition for the space. Caritas community members arrived at the Blue Cross at midnight, just as June 2nd was dawning, and there were already many people present who were spending the night. The Caritas pilgrimage group left their pansion at 3:30 a.m. to arrive at 4:00 a.m. at the Blue Cross, and most of the inner circle was already completely filled. Caritas members said that all night long rosaries and prayers were being prayed out loud in the area of the Blue Cross. The pilgrims were enthusiastic and joyful in their preparation for Our Lady’s coming apparition.

The past two evenings, on May 30 & 31st, during the time of the evening services thunderclouds rolled in and rain poured down, causing pilgrims to find some cover while attending the Rosary and Mass. Though there was a threat of rain all morning for Mirjana’s apparition, this morning on June 2nd, the rain did not come, but the conditions were muddy and slippery going up to the Blue Cross, and the temperature was in the 60’s.

Mirjana arrived approximately at 8:30 a.m., knelt before the Blue Cross, and began silently praying. The apparition began at 8:45 a.m. and lasted six minutes. Though impossible to guess the numbers present, there were thousands gathered, and all were completely silent during and after the apparition, as they waited to hear Our Lady’s message. Following is Our Lady’s words for June 2, 2010:

June 2, 2010

“Dear children, today I call you, with fasting and prayer, to clear the way by which my Son will enter into your hearts. Accept me as a mother and a messenger of God’s love and of His desire for your salvation. Free yourself of everything from the past which burdens you and gives you a sense of guilt; of everything that brought you to error—darkness. Accept the light. Be born anew in the justice of my Son. Thank you.”

Our Lady blessed all the religious articles and Mirjana said that when Our Lady was leaving, she saw a white dove at the end of the apparition, which Mirjana thought was the Holy Spirit.

Clear the Way

He left his home in search of something he believed he did not have. A restlessness of discontentment drove him away. Looking for fulfillment, he wandered from place to place, all the while wounding himself, being entertained with the sins of the world. Seeking one fulfillment after another, he felt more empty as each worldly gratification and sin sunk him deeper into life’s woes and errors. At one point, becoming so disgusted with himself, he began to reflect upon the home he had left long ago, the happy times and was surprised at the longing he felt for his past life. He remembered the simplicity of its yard and how the fresh dew covered the flowers before the sun rose in the morning sky each day. How he longed for those simple beautiful days. Because of an erred mentality of discontentment, he had become blind to the beauty of his past life. His longing for those days began to be his escape from the harsh life he was now living that he once thought would be his fulfillment. It was then, at his loneliest moments when he became overwhelmed with thoughts of the happy days of his childhood through becoming an adult, in which his home had brought to him. He decided to go back to what he had left ten years before.

Upon arriving, his anxious joy turned to dismay as he approached the long dirt drive to his home. The abandoned place had become overgrown and was so covered with plant growth that the house could not even be seen. He sat down and cried at what he had left and hope faded. He dwelt on his past sins and how he had neglected his beautiful cottage. No more beauty could be seen. The darkness from the shade of the growth that had taken over long ago had choked away the beautiful flowers. He had a lot of work to do, but he resolved to do it, having the remembrance of a better life. The road to the house now had trees growing upon it and it took a bulldozer to clear them away. However, he persisted and once the road was cleared to the house, he saw that the house itself was also burdened with vines of which even snaked into the house through broken windows. After a great deal of work, clearing and fighting to clean up his home, it was restored from the gloomy darkness, and no longer covered with vines. A light came upon the ground and flowers re-bloomed in their former beauty.

And finally he realized that what he had left to go in search of, that which would satisfy his discontentment, he was finally content with. After ten long years and many scars and wounds, he found the contentment he was searching for, right in his own home that he had disowned long before.

Our Lady shows us to clear the way back to Her Son requires the power of a bulldozer, which is derived from the power of fasting and prayer. This will clear the way, opening your home up to have Jesus enter the heart of your soul, “homed” in your physical being, your soul will be as the house, freed from the overgrowth and vines. We are to free ourselves from everything from the past which burdens us and gives us the sense of guilt. On December 4, 1986, Our Lady said:

“…the Lord particularly desires to purify you from all the sins of your past…Only that way shall you be able to recognize all the evil that is in you and surrender it to the Lord so the Lord may completely purify your hearts…”

It is Our Lady’s intent for Jesus to enter your heart, as the man cleared his way back to his home, to again dwell there, for you to clear the way so that Jesus may dwell in your heart.

Our Lady’s words today,
“accept me” with the message of God’s desire for your salvation, should be understood also in that what if we do not accept Her? Our Lady says:

March 18, 1996

“…Accept my messages that you may be accepted. Decide, my children, it is the time of decision. Be of just and innocent heart…”

How? Our Lady says on February 25, 1987:

“…surrender to the Lord your entire past, all the evil that has accumulated in your hearts. I want each one of you to be happy, but in sin nobody can be happy…”

We are to free ourselves of everything in the past which burdens us and gives a sense of guilt. Our Lady says on September 10, 1985:

“With respect to sin, it suffices to give it serious consideration, and soon, move ahead and correct the sin…”

Not to move ahead and to dwell on the past causes you not to clear the way. You rather become stuck and preoccupied with past errors, preoccupied with the sense of guilt and, therefore, prone to repeat and perpetuate the error or darkness which prevents you from praying properly. Our Lady said on February/March 1985:

“…During prayer, you must not be preoccupied with your sins. Sins must remain behind.”

Guilt’s purpose is good if it motivates one toward repentance. It is destructive if, after repentance and atonement, it does not move beyond this burden to free oneself. Our Lady’s intent is to free us from the past, so we can accept the light and be born ‘anew’ in the Justice of Christ. We have a choice of justice in this sacred time. If we live ‘in’ justice, according to God’s love, leaving the way of sin for salvation, we can expect God to be, in justice, our Father instead of in justice our Judge. Our Lady said on March 18, 2010:

“…when the soul loves it calls my Son to itself. My Son does not refuse those who call Him and who desire to live according to Him…Pray that God may be their Father and not their Judge…”

If your house is not the dwelling place of Our Lord because neglect and overgrowth of the past years has darkened the home of your heart, free yourself now in the time of grace and let Jesus enter your heart.

Clear the Way,
alt

P.S. Remember Our Lady said: “accept my messages that you may be accepted.” The dove at the end of today’s apparition is a message, a gentle creature who descends as the Holy Spirit when Jesus is being baptized. St. Paul says:

“Do nothing to sadden the Holy spirit with whom you were sealed against the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, all passion and anger, harsh words, slander, and malice of every kind.” Eph 4:30-31

There are those who see as insignificant, very significant aspects of Our Lady’s apparitions. Our Lady’s apparitions are in and of themselves a message. The message is delivered not only with words, but often through what occurs during the apparitions. Why else would Our Lady make a clear effort for Mirjana to see a dove if it is not a message? It is a grave matter to gloss over, ignore or to deem unimportant any part of Our Lady’s apparitions or messages, for to do so is to not fully accept Our Lady nor want to understand the true reason for Her coming.

June 25, 1991

“…There are many people who do not desire to understand my messages and to accept with seriousness what I am saying…”

A dove represents something very powerful and used many times in Scripture to symbolize the Holy Spirit. Yet, the gentle dove is easily shooed away. Accept Our Lady’s words and actions in fullness so as not to drive away from yourselves the Holy Spirit.

Pilgrims with umbrellas June 2

An array of multi-colored umbrellas visually brightened a rather dreary looking morning as crowds gathered early this morning for Our Lady’s apparition to Medjugorje visionary, Mirjana, June 2, 2010. At the sign of the first few raindrops, umbrellas began popping out among all the pilgrims, but that was all, as the skies never did open up with rain this morning while pilgrims waited for Mirjana to arrive. Though the rain threatened all morning, it did not dampen the spirits of the pilgrims, nor did it keep many people from attending the apparition. The thousands who came were willing and joyful to even the possibility of getting wet in order to receive Our Lady’s blessing today.

Mirjana in sadness June 2

The end of the June 2, 2010 apparition is approaching and we can see the sadness on Mirjana’s face as, perhaps, the realization sets in that another “goodbye” is coming.

Mirjana in Joy June 2

Yet, sadness turns into an ecstatic joy as Mirjana sees Our Lady ascend back to Heaven, a beautiful sight for pilgrims who watch her head slowly tilt upwards, who can only imagine the Queen leaving the earth after this brief stay among Her children.

Mirjana possibly seeing dove

Is it at this moment that Mirjana suddenly sees the dove appear? Her expression changes from the joy of watching Our Lady, to a look of wonder or surprise. How do we even begin to contemplate that Mirjana may have beheld the Holy Spirit with her own eyes, just as those who saw Him alight on the head of Jesus more than 2,000 years ago? There is meaning behind every action of Our Lady. Some disregard the sign of the dove as being unimportant or insignificant, preferring only to receive the words of Our Lady, but the Dove accompanied these words today, and we must contemplate Her words also in light of the presence of the physical reality of the Holy Spirit.

Mirjana with crowds

As she does each month on the second, Mirjana finds the only empty spot amongst thousands of people who have been waiting for her arrival. Some of these pilgrims arrived ten, eleven, twelve hours earlier, sitting on uncomfortable rocks, willing to be rained upon and live with wet feet through a cold damp night just to experience this one moment that lasts only a few minutes. It is just these kinds of sacrifices that help to “clear the way” for Our Lady’s Son to enter hearts.

Pilgrims leaving the apparition June 2

The pilgrims who attended Mirjana’s apparition today, June 2, 2010, flow as a river into the paths leading through the vineyards towards the center of the village where St. James Church is found. Apparition Mountain can be seen behind them.

How to Incorporate "Clear the Way"

One of the many ways we in Community clear the way for Jesus to enter our hearts is to celebrate as a real feast those profound moments when Jesus enters the heart for First Holy Communion. We celebrate of First Holy Communion as it should be. The following is shared with you to see the seamless window to Heaven the Community of Caritas often experiences. Yesterday, June 1, 2010, was First Holy Communion for two of the school children of the Community. We lived in a very special way yesterday, Our Lady’s message of today of clearing the way by which Jesus will enter our hearts.

Joy And Anne First Communion

Joy and Anne, two Community children who received their First Holy Communion yesterday, June 1, 2010. These special moments are very big feast days in the Community. There was a lot of preparation in the preceding days to prepare for the Mass and the celebration afterwards especially through prayer. Each day, before this special day, Joy and Anne prayed the following prayer in preparation for their First Holy Communion:

“Lord Jesus, I come to You with my heart full of joy waiting to receive you in First Holy Communion. Please make me pure and ready to receive You. Dear Jesus, may You find in me a pleasing place in which to dwell and may You make my heart a flame of pure love for you. Amen.”

The Community joined them in this prayer each day with the following prayer for them:

“Dear Mary, we present Joy and Anne to You seeking for them purity and holiness. We give them completely into Your hands for Your plans and pray that their hearts and the hearts of all in our community be always pleasing to You, to Jesus and to the Father. We come before You also seeking healing for Joy. We bless them both with Your Special Blessing. Amen.

Joy and Anne, when praying for their First Holy Communion, asked Our Lady for a message for their preparation and picked the following message at random:

November 25, 1993

"Dear children, I invite you now in this time, like never before, to prepare for the coming of Jesus. Let little Jesus reign in your hearts and only then, when Jesus is your friend, will you be happy. It will not be difficult for you either to pray or offer sacrifices or to witness Jesus’ greatness in your life, because He will give you strength and joy in this time. I am close to you by my intercession and prayer and I love and bless all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

This message was also part of the novena the Community prayed for Joy and Anne.

Bundles of wheat from the Field of Apparitions

Small bundles of wheat, picked from the Field of Apparitions, were used to decorate each table for the celebration dinner afterwards. Wheat and bread were used as part of the decorations to symbolize the miracle that God gave us in granting the priest to take simple bread, made from wheat, and changing it into the actual body and blood of Jesus; for us to physically receive Him in our hearts.

Joy and Anne, Community Children Praying

At the end of the evening, the entire community gathered in the Bedroom of Apparitions to offer up prayers of thanksgiving for the beautiful graces granted to Joy and Anne on their First Holy Communion, along with all the graces received by the entire community. Joy and Anne are next to the bed, praying the fifth decade of the Luminous Mystery, The Institution of the Eucharist – the mystery they were able to truly live for the first time on their First Holy Communion day.

The Love of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary: "You Will Have Peace In My Heart" by Rita Ring

Good shepherd

Image via Wikipedia

August 9, 1994

Title: You Will Have Peace In My Heart

Jesus:  Come unto Me, Oh you who are heavily burdened, and place your yoke upon My shoulder and I will give you rest.

I give you rest in My Heart. I give you peace in your soul. The world will never give you this peace, it only comes from union with Me. Your soul is at unrest until it rests in Me.

Come, children, come and let Me caress your little bodies and hold you in My precious Heart. I am the Good Shepherd. I love you with such an abiding love, yet you wander to other lands and seek other pastures and have such wantings in your souls!

I fill you with the waters of salvation. I reach into your soul and you are cleaned by My hand. You are made pure and white and you are left in a state of peace and grace.

I am He Who saves you, Who loves you, Who ministers to your every need and you go off the path and try to find another way! Come to Me, little babies, and let Me caress you in My Heart. Let Me warm you by the fire of My love. Open yourselves up to Me. Pray to the Spirit to be open to all that God wants to give you.

Oh, little ones, I watch you and you wander other roads. I want to give you such gifts, I want to be so close to you!

You long for this union with God. You look and look in this world for a closeness that can only be filled by My undying love.

Little one, little one, it is so simple. Like the hand in the perfect glove, your hearts fit just right when it is tucked in Mine. You wander down the roads that lead you to coldness when My Heart is forever warm and waiting to comfort you. Search and seek no more. Open yourselves up to the love of God. I am He whose bootstraps you are unworthy to tie, but who waits for you with a burning Heart.

Only in Me, My little ones, do your souls find rest. Only in Me are you satisfied. Only in Me will you have peace. Come and dwell in My Heart, I am in love with you!

R.  I just want so much more of Him, to know and love Him is not enough. I love Him so much, I want more of Him. I long so intently for His deep love and deeper union with Him.

[MaryVitamin] June

Mary Vitamin for June 1st

Topic: The month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Quote:
Our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify its love.

Meditation:
What offering can a person dedicated to the Immaculate make to the Sacred Heart of Jesus? St. John Eudes has a prayer suggestion:

O Jesus, only Son of God, only Son of Mary,
I offer Thee the most loving Heart of Thy divine Mother
which is more precious and pleasing to Thee than all hearts.

O Mary, Mother of Jesus,
I offer Thee the most adorable Heart of Thy well-beloved Son,
who is the life and love and joy of Thy Heart.

Blessed be the Most Loving Heart
and Sweet Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ
and the most glorious
Virgin Mary, His Mother,
in eternity and forever.
Amen.

St. John Eudes

Resolution:
In honor of the month of the Sacred Heart, I will say the prayer composed by St. John Eudes. If during the day I cannot remember the words,

I will simply offer the Immaculate Heart of Mary to the Lord and offer the Sacred Heart to my Mother Mary.

Marian Vow:
[The Franciscan Tertiaries of the Immaculate] should also cultivate the practice of the first nine Fridays of the month to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the first five Saturdays to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Marian Seraphic Pathways,
 Constitutions, #31

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.

Sign of the cross is reminder of the Trinity dwelling in us, teaches Benedict XVI:

Tribulation Times

READ THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: http://www.oneyearbibleonline.com/may.asp?version=63&startmmdd=0101

June 1, 2010

(John 16:13-15) But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. For he shall not speak of himself: but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak. And the things that are to come, he shall shew you. He shall glorify me: because he shall receive of mine and shall shew it to you. All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine. Therefore I said that he shall receive of me and shew it to you.

CATHOLIC SAN FRANCISCO ONLINE: Sign of the cross is reminder of the Trinity dwelling in us, teaches Benedict XVI

FROM THE MAILBAG

REFLECTION by Father Ted:

May dearest Lord Jesus, today on this feast of the Most Holy Trinity You remind me, and others, about Who You are and Who God is – namely Love.

In the past You have reminded us that God is not only Your “Abba”, that is “Daddy” but that He is also our “Abba – Daddy”.

Also in the past You have told us that You are The Image of the Father. You did this especially when Philip asked You to show him the Father and You replied to him that he who sees You sees the Father. You told him in other words that You are the “spitting image” of the Father.

You have likewise indicated to us that the Holy Spirit is just like You and just like the Father.

Yes, You are three persons and yet one God – The God who is Love.

In the first reading of today’s Mass Your Holy Spirit inspired King Solomon to write that You delight in us men. You delight in us; so too does the Father and the Holy Spirit because You are one.

In the Book of Genesis You reminded us that You created us in Your image, after Your likeness.

You made us, as I have so frequently declared in my reflections, to know You, to love You and to serve You on earth so that we can be with You in Your home in heaven.

You who are The Holy Family have invited us to become members of Your Holy Family – to enjoy the delights of The Holy Family.

Today, especially at the two Masses You enabled me to offer this morning You impelled me to tell others that on Holy Thursday night, before You offered Yourself to the Father for us, on Good Friday afternoon before You completed Your Perfect offering of Yourself, on Easter Sunday night when You appeared to the ten apostles, and on Ascension Thursday before You returned to the Father in heaven, You gave and promised to us four special gifts – perfect gifts of love.

They were: Yourself in the Holy Eucharist - on Holy Thursday; Your Mother – on Good Friday; the forgiveness of our sins through confession – on Easter Sunday; and the Holy Spirit – on Ascension Thursday who came on Pentecost Sunday.

Such incredible gifts of love You give to us so that we can live each day in Your love by loving one another as You love each one of us.

Thank You Jesus for revealing to us who You are. Thank You Jesus for giving to us such marvelous gifts of love. Thank You Jesus for allowing us to share Your love, Your Life, You peace and Your joy with each other.

May we do each day all that You ask of us dearest Jesus.

May we become more and more like You, like the Father, and like the Holy Spirit – holy.

Ladder of Divine Ascent excerpt: Step 26- "On discernment of thoughts, passions, and virtues"

49. All the contrary virtues are born of parents contrary to these. But without enlarging on the subject, I will merely say that for all the passions mentioned above, the remedy is humility. Those who have obtained that virtue have overcome all.

Monthly Message Given to Anne, a Lay Apostle:

On the first of every month, our Lord gives Anne a new message about His call to service.
June 1, 2010

 Jesus

Dearest apostles, are you weary? Do you wonder why My service requires such holiness? I know that you do not always understand the relationship between your suffering and the graces I am sending to others. This is not clear to you when you are carrying heavy crosses that require great trust. When you are with Me for eternity, you will understand this connection and you will rejoice that you were willing to remain in My service despite the demands made upon your will. I ask and I ask and again I ask, and you answer, and you answer, and again, you answer. My dear apostles, you are in such a habit of saying yes to Me, that you continue on, day after day. The days are passing, are they not? One after another, days are completed and you have claimed grace for the world. This is how it has been arranged for you, dearest children of the Father. You are asked to be good and holy and in return, the Father cooperates by keeping your intentions close to His heart. In this moment, where you have been placed, there is grace. Do you feel it? Do you trust Me? I am with you. I have not abandoned you. Will you resist the temptation to leave Me when I press on your commitment? If you ask Me for the grace of perseverance, I will give this to you. This is My gift. But you must ask for and then accept this gift. If you feel like you are failing and yet you are trying to serve as best you can, then you must spend time with Me and examine the concept of failure from heaven’s view. You may find that you are a success in My eyes, even while the world dismisses your contribution. All is well. Do not fear fatigue. Only fear a decision to abandon Me. Remember, I will never leave you. Never.
