Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Consecration to Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Queen of Peace

On January 1, 2001 Our Lady gave a startling message. It reveals both the present status of satan and our instructions on what to do in regards to satan’s status in the world today. Our Lady’s message on January 1, 2001:
“My dear children, now that when satan is unchained, I desire you to be consecrated to My Heart and the Heart of My Son Jesus. I bless you with my Motherly blessing.”
These two Consecrations were given by Our Lady in Medjugorje. We strongly urge you to continue these consecration prayers in continuing to comply with Our Lady’s request on January 1, 2001 in regard to satan being unchained.

      See Consecration Prayers Below:

Consecration to Jesus

alt

O Jesus, we know that You are
merciful and that You gave
Your Heart for us, that was
crowned with thorns by our sins;
We know that even today You
are still ¬pleading with us so that
we will not be lost. Jesus,
remember us when we are in sin.

By means of Your Sacred Heart,
grant us, that all men love one
another; Cause hatred to
disappear from among men.

Show us Your Love,
for we all love You,
and want You to protect us
with your Shepherd’s Heart
and free us from all sin.

Jesus, enter into each heart.
Knock on the door of our hearts.
Be patient and unwearied with us.
We are still closed, since we still have
not yet understood Your love for us.

Knock persistently and grant,
O Good Jesus, that we open our hearts
to You, at least when we will have
remembered the passion
You suffered for us. Amen.

Consecration to Mary

alt

O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
overflowing with goodness,
show us Your love for us.
May the flame of Your heart,
O Mary, descend upon all mankind.

We love You so.
Impress true love in our hearts
that we may have a continuous
desire for You.

O Mary, meek and humble of heart,
remember us when we are in sin.
You know that all men sin.
Grant to us by means of
Your Immaculate Heart, to be
healed from every spiritual illness.

In doing so, we then will be able
to gaze upon the goodness
of Your Maternal Heart,
and thus be converted through
the flame of Your Heart. Amen

Mary TV: May 14, 2020 Reflection - Our Lady's Imperatives!

(c) Mary TV 2020

May 14, 2020
St. Matthias, Apostle

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children, this is a time of gratitude.  Today I ask love from you. Don't look for faults in others and don't judge others.  I expect you to love and to spread the truth because the truth is eternal, constant and always up to date.  Bring the light of my Son.  Drive out the darkness that wants to seize you more and take you far away from my Son, Jesus. Don't worry, I am with you.  Thank you for responding to my call." (May 4, 2020)

Our Lady used several imperatives in her message through Ivan! Here they are:
Don't look for faults in others...

Don't judge others...
Bring the light of my Son...
Drive out the darkness....

Don't worry....
Here is what the dictionary says about imperative sentences:

The imperative is used to give commands and orders. The form of the verb used for the imperative is the base form of the main verb, which is used without a subject. Walk to the corner, turn right, and cross the road; it is expressive of a command, entreaty, or exhortation

When you really want to move your audience to action, you use an imperative. The verb is spoken without a subject and "you" is understood. It is the sort of thing that gets people moving!!
I think that Our Lady really does want to get us moving! Why? Because there is danger close at hand in our world today. We are surrounded by the lies and darkness of the devil, and he is strong right now. And so, as a Mother she is trying to guide us into safety, just as any mother would do if her children were in danger.

When she says, "Don't look for faults in others..." she is telling us that if we start down that road it will lead us away from the one thing we can do, and that is to love. It will take away our peace. God is the only one who can manage another person's faults. Our job is to pray for others and be examples of mercy and love.

When she says, "Don't judge others..." she is warning us that the judgement we give will be the judgement we receive. God alone can judge a soul. Judgement leads us into darkness.

When she says, "Bring the light..." she is giving us a positive command, something we can all do! We can bring Jesus into our lives and the lives of others, share His Word, His love, His peace. It is like taking a torch light into a dark cave and helping all those trapped in the darkness of that cave the light they need to leave that darkness. It is freedom, when the Light of Christ comes.

When she says, "Drive out the darkness that wants to seize you more and take you far away from my Son, Jesus..." she is asking us to carry Christ with us always, constantly. The Light of Christ drives out the enemy!!! The Light, which is Christ, saves us from every assault of the devil, driving him away and giving us peace.

And when she tells us: "Don't worry..." she is reminding us that she is with us and she will never leave our side. She is with us, and there is nothing to fear. It is important to let go of worry and trust Our Lady.

I pick up a bit of urgency in Our Lady's words. She is not just describing what we should do, she is commanding us to get up and do what she is telling us to do, to follow her into the safety of the Light of Christ. Jesus is the Light, as St. John told us:

Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (Jn 8: 12)
As we pray, let's let Our Lady's imperatives energize us to action. We need to listen to her. She is with us to bring us to Jesus, our safety. When Mama talks, we listen!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 13, 2020 Reflection - A decisive battle against the Virgin...

(c) Mary TV 2020
"Pray, pray, pray!"

May 13, 2020
Feast of Our Lady of Fatima

Dear Family of Mary!

Our Lady in Medjugorje only referred to her apparition in Fatima once, in this message:

August 25, 1991  "Dear Children! Today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before when my plan has begun to be realized. Satan is strong and wants to sweep away my plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in His decisions. Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to now grasp the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation. I want to save all souls and present them to God. Therefore, let us pray that everything I have begun will be fully realized. Thank you for having responded to my call."

She connected her plan in Medjugorje to her plan in Fatima. She told us she needed our prayer and renunciation, so that the secrets she began in Fatima might be fulfilled. Those secrets were begun, but not finished, and she was with us now in Medjugorje to continue to work them out in our midst. Clearly those secrets had to do with saving all souls and presenting them to God. Our Lady was sent on a mission in 1917 and that mission was on going. Her presence in Medjugorje was part of that mission.

The next month Our Mother told us a bit more about her mission and our role in it:

September 25, 1991 "Dear children! Today in a special way I invite you all to prayer and renunciation. For now, as never before, satan wants to show the world his shameful face by which he wants to seduce as many people as possible onto the way of death and sin. Therefore, dear children, help my Immaculate Heart to triumph in the sinful world. I beseech all of you to offer prayers and sacrifices for my intentions so I can present them to God for what is most necessary. Forget your desires, dear children, and pray for what God desires, and not for what you desire. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Mother Mary told us that the battle with our enemy, the devil, was intensifying. But she revealed again that it was her mission to crush him. How? Through the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart! Her Triumph is the way God has chosen to defeat the enemy. And that triumph will happen through the prayers of her children, you and me!

The next message Our Lady gave was like a trumpet call. Our Lady called her troops into action:
October 25, 1991 "Dear children! Pray! Pray! Pray!
Sounding the alarm, Our Mother set us into motion, moving forward into the fray, with our weapons in hand, and our hearts set on victory.

These three messages together show us the Father's plan, now being enacted through Mary, the Mother of Jesus. It is a battle that she leads, a battle in which we, her children, are engaged. I want to quote now, Sr. Lucia, who shared in 1957 what Our Lady had shown her about these days we are in. She describes the spiritual realities with great accuracy and focus. I will close with her words:
"Father, the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world, but She made me understand this for three reasons.  The first reason is because She told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin.  And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious, and the other side will suffer defeat.  Also, from now on we must choose sides.  Either we are for God or we are for the devil.  There is no other possibility.  The second reason is because She said to my cousins as well as to myself that God is giving two last remedies to the world.  These are the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  These are the last two remedies, which signify that there will not be others.  The third reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence God always, before He is about to punish the world, exhausts all other remedies.

"The two means to save the world are prayer and sacrifice.  Look, Father, the Most Holy Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Holy Rosary.  She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all, spiritual, in the private life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, of the religious communities or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be resolved through the prayer of the Rosary.  There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve through the recitation of the Holy Rosary.  Through the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves.  We will sanctify ourselves.  We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.  Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Mother, consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon and as the sure door through which we are to enter Heaven."  (Sr. Lucia of Fatima)

Today, all day, let's pray our Rosaries for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!!!

Mary TV: May 12, 2020 Reflection - Eternal, constant and up to date!

(c) Mary TV 2020
Truth: eternal, constant and up to date!

May 12, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

"I expect you to love and to spread the truth because the truth is eternal, constant and always up to date..."
It is always good to review important building blocks of our faith. And one of them is "the Truth". Our Lady brings it up often. And in this message, she says three things about truth, that it is eternal, constant and always up to date! Before we talk about these three aspects of the truth, I thought we could read a bit from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Here is a passage which gives a good overview of what is meant by truth and what our relationship to it must be. It is from the discussion of the 8th Commandment, "Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." (I left the footnotes in and listed the references at the end. It is helpful to look up the scriptures...)

I. Living In The Truth
2465 The Old Testament attests that God is the source of all truth. His Word is truth. His Law is truth. His "faithfulness endures to all generations."255 Since God is "true," the members of his people are called to live in the truth.256
2466 In Jesus Christ, the whole of God's truth has been made manifest. "Full of grace and truth," he came as the "light of the world," he is the Truth.257 "Whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness."258 The disciple of Jesus continues in his word so as to know "the truth [that] will make you free" and that sanctifies.259 To follow Jesus is to live in "the Spirit of truth," whom the Father sends in his name and who leads "into all the truth."260 To his disciples Jesus teaches the unconditional love of truth: "Let what you say be simply 'Yes or No.'"261
2467 Man tends by nature toward the truth. He is obliged to honor and bear witness to it: "It is in accordance with their dignity that all men, because they are persons . . . are both impelled by their nature and bound by a moral obligation to seek the truth, especially religious truth. They are also bound to adhere to the truth once they come to know it and direct their whole lives in accordance with the demands of truth."262
2468 Truth as uprightness in human action and speech is called truthfulness, sincerity, or candor. Truth or truthfulness is the virtue which consists in showing oneself true in deeds and truthful in words, and in guarding against duplicity, dissimulation, and hypocrisy.
2469 "Men could not live with one another if there were not mutual confidence that they were being truthful to one another."263 The virtue of truth gives another his just due. Truthfulness keeps to the just mean between what ought to be expressed and what ought to be kept secret: it entails honesty and discretion. In justice, "as a matter of honor, one man owes it to another to manifest the truth."264
2470 The disciple of Christ consents to "live in the truth," that is, in the simplicity of a life in conformity with the Lord's example, abiding in his truth. "If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth."265
256 Rom 3:4; Cf. Ps 119:30.
257 Jn 1:14; 8:12; cf. 14:6.
258 Jn 12:46.
259 Jn 8:32; Cf. 17:17.
260 Jn 16:13.
261 Mt 5:37.
262 DH 2 § 2.

We all know how precious the truth is, especially in this age of mass media, and the proliferation of "news". We hunger to the truth. Thank the Lord that He is our Truth, and we will always be at peace in Him.

Mary TV: May 11, 2020 Reflection - Don't judge others...

(c) Mary TV 2020
Don't judge others

May 11, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

Thank you for responding to my call." (May 4, 2020 Ivan)

"Today I ask love from you. Don't look for faults in others and don't judge others..."
Jesus tells us in the Gospel of Luke:
"But I say to you that hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from him who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to everyone who begs from you; and of him who takes away your goods do not ask them again. And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them.
"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

"Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back." (Luke 6: 27-38)

I don't claim to be able to do any of this that Jesus and Mary ask of us.  But if they ask it of us, they will find the way for us to do it!  Mother Mary, please help us to love, to not look at the faults of others and to never judge. Jesus please help us.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 8, 2020 Update from Denis - Only the Glory of God remains!

Our Lady of Medjugorje
May 8, 2020

"Do not lose the hope which I am carrying to you!"

Dear Apostles of Our Lady of Medjugorje:
It's important that we be listening to Our Lady. "My children, listen to me, I speak for your salvation." (3/18/16).  "These words of mine are familiar to you because they are the truth, and the truth does not change.  It is only that many of my children have forgotten it.  My children, my words are neither old nor new they are eternal.  Therefore I invite you, my children, to observe well the signs of the times." (5/2/16)

It's important we look to her to recognize these signs.  Her triumph depends on it!  "Dear children! Also in this difficult time God's love sends me to you. My children, do not be afraid, I am with you. With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live.  I will help you to come to know the love of my Son.  I will triumph through you. Thank you." (6/2/07)
Let's not give our attention, our hearts, to other messages/voices.  Let's not be conned!  She knows Satan's play book.  "Do not lose the hope which I am carrying to you!" (7/25/16)
Just last Monday Our Lady told us in the message she gave when she appeared to Ivan that darkness is trying to seize us.  She tells us what to do in order to be protected:
"Dear children, this is a time of gratitude.  Today I ask love from you, don't look for faults in others and don't judge others.  I expect you to love and to spread the truth.  Because the truth is eternal, constant and always up to date!  Bring the light of my Son, drive out the darkness that wants to seize you more and take you far away from my Son Jesus.  Don't worry, I'm with you." (5/4/20)
It is Satan who is worried.  Our Lady is routing him.  Something is coming for the world that is wonderful!  "I gave my Son to you and am giving Him to you anew...Therefore, my children, do not wander, do not close your heart before that truth, hope and love. Everything around you is passing and everything is falling apart, only the glory of God remains. Therefore, renounce everything that distances you from the Lord..."

"ONLY THE GLORY OF GOD REMAINS!" That's the future!  That's good news!

The devil is the one terrified!  Don't be fooled.  Don't be getting into his boat....

Our Lady beckons us into her own boat - a boat filled with joy!  "I am with you and I unceasingly pray for you that your life may be a reflection of Heaven here on earth!" (4/25/11)

God bless you!

Mary TV: May 8, 2020 Reflection - This is a time of Gratitude!

(c) Mary TV 2020
This is a time of gratitude...

May 8, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

On May 4, Our Lady gave Ivan Dragicevic a message for all of us, for the world. Here is the translation from Croatian that Ivan himself offered to us. It is a little different from the one I sent out yesterday. I am happy to have this version from Ivan.

Thank you for responding to my call. (May 4, 2020)

When I first read this message, I felt a great weight lift from my heart. I think that sometimes we can feel the heaviness of the world's problems on our shoulders. We all care, we want to help. But it seems to be too much to even imagine. But Our Lady gave us the correct approach to this moment in history.

The first thing she told us is the key:

"Dear children, this is a time of gratitude."
Immediately my heart could breathe again. This is a time of gratitude!! It is not a time of fear. It is not a time of struggle. It is not a time of sadness or disillusionment. NO. This is a time of gratitude. Gratitude is the key to finding the truth of this moment.

And what does gratitude tell us? It tells us God is real. God is all mighty. God created us. We are creatures. God created time. He is the master of time. He has given us this time to live. We live because He wills it. Our lives are only good and happy when they are oriented to Him. We don't carry the troubles of the whole world. Jesus has already done that. Well, the list can go on and on. And it is a good list. Because it puts us in our place. We are the children of God and He is our Father and He is all powerful and all mighty and He loves us.

Our Lady has been calling us to gratitude throughout her time in Medjugorje. She knows what a powerful weapon gratitude is. Remember her Magnificat:

"My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior, for He has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name." (Luke 1:46-49)
Here are five messages in which Our Lady calls us to gratitude. Maybe we can pray a Rosary of Gratitude today and let the power of thanksgiving flow into our hearts!

August 25, 1988 "Dear children! Today I invite you all to rejoice in the life which God gives you. Little children, rejoice in God, the Creator, because He has created you so wonderfully. Pray that your life be joyful thanksgiving which flows out of your heart like a river of joy. Little children, give thanks unceasingly for all that you possess, for each little gift which God has given you, so that a joyful blessing always comes down from God upon your life. Thank you for having responded to my call."

August 25, 1999 "Dear children! Also today I call you to give glory to God the Creator in the colors of nature. He speaks to you also through the smallest flower about His beauty and the depth of love with which He has created you. Little children, may prayer flow from your hearts like fresh water from a spring. May the wheat fields speak to you about the mercy of God towards every creature. That is why, renew prayer of thanksgiving for everything He gives you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

October 25, 2002 "Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. Little children, believe that by simple prayer miracles can be worked. Through your prayer you open your heart to God and He works miracles in your life. By looking at the fruits, your heart fills with joy and gratitude to God for everything He does in your life and, through you, also to others. Pray and believe little children, God gives you graces and you do not see them. Pray and you will see them. May your day be filled with prayer and thanksgiving for everything that God gives you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

August 25, 2006 "Dear children! Also today I call you to pray, pray, pray. Only in prayer will you be near to me and my Son and you will see how short this life is. In your heart a desire for Heaven will be born. Joy will begin to rule in your heart and prayer will begin to flow like a river. In your words there will only be thanksgiving to God for having created you and the desire for holiness will become a reality for you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

November 25, 2016 "Dear children! Also today, I am calling you to return to prayer. In this time of grace, God has permitted me to lead you towards holiness and a simple life - that in little things you discover God the Creator; that you fall in love with Him; and that your life be a thanksgiving to the Most High for everything He is giving you. Little children, in love, may your life be a gift for others and God will bless you; but you, witness without interest - out of love for God. I am with you and intercede before my Son for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call..."

Thank you dearest Mother for teaching us gratitude. May our hearts overflow with thanksgiving to God and our lives become a joyful gift of gratitude to Him.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 7, 2020 Reflection - A Message from Our Lady through Ivan

(c) Mary TV 2020
Be carriers of the light of my Son!!

May 7, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

Our Lady gave a message on May 4, 2020 through Ivan Dragicevic! This is a special grace for us in these days...

Dear children, this is a time of thanksgiving.

Today, I am looking for love from you.  Do not look for imperfections in others and do not judge others. I want you to love and that you transmit the truth, because truth is eternal, unchangeable and always genuine.
Be the carriers of the light of my Son and break the dark which wants to take you over and take you far away from my Son.  Do not have fear. I am with you.

Thank you for having responded to my call. (May 4, 2020, Ivan)

Thank you dearest Mother, for your guidance in these days. We are grateful for your presence!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. Let's remember to pray this short but powerful prayer to the Holy Spirit:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and we shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit didst instruct the hearts of thy faithful, grant by the same Spirit that we will be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Be a reflection of God's love...

May 6, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

"...Be a reflection of God's love and witness the Risen Jesus by your lives..." (April 25, 2020)

What does it mean to be a reflection of someone or something? How can we be a reflection of God's love? We aren't mirrors. We don't just throw back at God His own image. At least not physically. But what about our souls? What about our actions? What about our words and feelings?
In a dictionary I did find this explanation of "being a reflection of":

"to match or express the qualities, features, or feelings of someone or something."
I think this captures the idea of being a reflection of God's love. We can match or express God's love in our relationships. We can show the feelings and qualities of God's love, which are feelings of deep empathy, self-sacrifice, kindness, concern, responsibility for, and delight in the other. God is love at it's purest and deepest level. God is love. Love is God. To reflect God's love is to reflect God.

To be a reflection of God's love is to be an agent of His love, to carry it in our hearts and express it at every moment in the form of acts and words and prayers. Our lives can become carriers of the qualities, features and feelings of God.

Mother Church has collected many stories for us that show us how to be a reflection of God's love. The Lives of the Saints!! These brothers and sisters grew in their union with God to such an extent that they became reflections of God's love. Each reflection is unique because each saint is a unique person. Their lives show in infinite variation, the great love of God, the power of that love, the joy of that love. No two saints are identical and their lives are not identical. Yet all of them are the reflection of God's love.

And now we are being made into reflections of God's love, so that our unique manifestation of God's love will complete the tapestry of Heaven. We are called!! We are called to become reflections of God's love. Our Lady once told us:

June 5, 1986 "Dear children! Today I am calling on you to decide whether or not you wish to live the messages which I am giving you. I wish you to be active in living and spreading the messages. Especially, dear children, I wish that you all be the reflection of Jesus, which will enlighten this unfaithful world walking in darkness. I wish all of you to be the light for everyone and that you give witness in the light. Dear children, you are not called to the darkness, but you are called to the light. Therefore, live the light with your own life. Thank you for having responded to my call."

May we become witnesses of the light and reflections of the love of God!

Mary TV: May 5, 2020 Reflection - St. Padre PIo, pray for us!

(c) Mary TV 2020
Take up your cross and follow me!

May 5, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

"...Little children do not permit trials to harden your heart and for prayer to be like a desert..."
(April 25, 2020)

Our Lady knows that if we are afraid of trials and suffering and our faith is weak, we will close our hearts to her Son. And with closed hearts, our prayer becomes superficial and empty, barren like a desert. A closed heart says 'no' to God, 'no' to trust in God, 'no' to self-sacrifice and 'no' to love.

Fear is most powerful in closing our hearts. We are afraid to suffer. We want to run. It is a normal reaction, but not a Godly one.

I want to share something written about Padre Pio, and his response to suffering. I know he is an extreme example of one who is willing to sacrifice for God and for others. But the description is very helpful for us in examining our consciences about fear and hard-heartedness.

It is written by Fr. Pietro Tartaglia, a Capuchin priest who lived with Padre Pio and knew him well. He wrote a book about Padre Pio and the mysteries of the Rosary which is very beautiful. Fr. Pietro is writing here about the Carrying of the Cross, and how Jesus (and Padre Pio) embraced the Cross with such great love for us. Here is the excerpt:

"So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called the place of a skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha" (Jn 19:17).
"Whoever wishes to be with me, let him take up his cross and follow me!". And so, the way of the cross begins.
The life of Christians fits into and is illuminated by this painful road. What is the importance in discussing the form of the cross carried by Jesus? The discussion leaves the heart arid and cold. But the "Cross" has become a real sign; the living sign and sincere expression of all human suffering which wounds the bodies of men and saddens their spirits. The cross carried by Christ as a sacrament of freedom and redemption, can be gathered with generosity, and become the precious stairway of ascent along the way of perfection. It radiates vivid light; it gives strength and courage; or it can be accepted with a cry of contempt, rancor, desperation, and thus become a weight that crushes, demoralizes, oppresses and closes the heart of man to all possibility of salvation.
Jesus spoke of two pathways: One is 'narrow,' stony, difficult and exhausting, but it leads to salvation. The other is 'wide' and it facilitates man's journey and makes his steps smooth, but this path finds its outlet, as a rule, in ruin and eternal perdition.
Padre Pio of Pietrelcina chose his path! "You must fight against him," a mysterious personage had told him. The enemy against whom he fought was the devil. Padre Pio accepted the difficult struggle without pause or rest!
"Choose your path!". Padre Pio replied: "I want to be a friar with a beard!" He dressed in a humble habit; girded his cord with the rosary and, on his bare feet, he wore sandals.
He wanted to be a Capuchin Friar; an authentic witness of simplicity, austerity, prayer and poverty, in order to teach the world "the royal path which leads to God."
"Choose your path!" And he chose, as a privileged gift, SUFFERING, without any reservation or limit.
He asked Jesus to unite him to His martyrdom, to His mission, as a "Redeemer" of the world; to cancel the sins of the world; to bring once again into the midst of men, the freedom and liberty of sons of God.
The way of the cross was his favorite path. He took the cross from the shoulders of Christ and gathered it onto his own, thus becoming "Everybody's Cyrenean," substituting others in an essential and demanding task.
On the Cross of Christ with the tremendous weight of the sins of men, in everybody's name, he carried that weight at all times: Every hour, every day for more than fifty years; a living visible crucifix, in order to relieve the pains of Christ for the redemption and salvation of all his brothers and sisters.
(Fr. Pietro Tartaglia. The Mysteries of the Rosary and Padre Pio. Our Lady of Grace Capuchin Friary, 1994 p. 72-73)

Padre Pio did not have a hard heart. His prayer was anything but a barren desert. He suffered, yes. So much! But he did it out of love for Jesus and for you and me. And in that love, his heart held heaven and his prayer was divine praise.
Our Lady wants us to find our way to the narrow path that leads to heaven, and to choose the way of love which makes our prayer a joy! Padre Pio, pray for us!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 4, 2020 Reflection - Come, Holy Spirit

(c) Mary TV 2014
Come Holy Spirit!!

May 4, 2020

Dear Family of Mary,

"Dear children! May this time be an incentive for personal conversion for you. Pray, little children, in solitude to the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in faith and trust in God, that you may be worthy witnesses of the love which God bestows upon you through my presence. Little children do not permit trials to harden your heart and for prayer to be like a desert. Be a reflection of God's love and witness the Risen Jesus by your lives. I am with you and I love all of you with my motherly love. Thank you for having responded to my call." (April 25, 2020)
"Pray, little children, in solitude to the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in faith and trust in God, that you may be worthy witnesses of the love which God bestows upon you through my presence..."

We are four weeks away from Pentecost, when we celebrate the initial outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles in the Upper Room. (Read Acts 1 and 2) The eleven were together in that room, in solitude, hidden away and in the school of prayer with Our Lady. They had just witnessed Jesus' Ascension into Heaven and felt His absence keenly. But they were obediently waiting, together in solitude, as Jesus had instructed them. Yet they were not left without help. Our Lady was with them. She was there, praying with them, and no doubt teaching them to pray. God had provided for them, by giving them Our Lady as their teacher, guide and intercessor.
Our Lady was instructing them in prayer with the heart, for sure. Showing them how to wait for the Holy Spirit, just as she waited for Him as a young girl in Nazareth. Mary's presence must have brought down the love of God in a powerful way. Her presence is that love.
Well, on the day of Pentecost, as they were praying in that Upper Room the Holy Spirit rushed upon them all! And they began to speak in tongues! And then they went out into Jerusalem and announced the Good News of the Resurrection of Jesus and the Kingdom of God that had come into their midst.
This proclamation of the Gospel was truly a witness of the love which God bestowed upon the Apostles. It was such a powerful love that they lost all fear, and went out to speak with authority about Jesus, the Lord. And we might add, it was through Mary's presence there that this great outpouring happened. She brought the Church to birth in that moment, by calling down the Holy Spirit through her Queenly presence.
And so, it is no small thing that Mary is with us in this day, in order to call down the love of God upon us, through her presence with us. We are being given a new Pentecost, individually, through Mary's motherly presence, so that we can witness!! We must witness that love to the whole world, so in need of healing in God's love.
I propose that we spend the next four weeks in deep prayer for the coming of the Holy Spirit. We definitely need an outpouring of the Spirit upon us!! We are called to be witnesses of the great love of God which has been bestowed upon us through Mary's presence in Medjugorje!
We can begin by praying this prayer to the Holy Spirit every day, even several times throughout the day:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy Love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.  O God, who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation.  Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We can ask Our Lady to pray with us, as she did in the Upper Room, and the power of our prayer will be greatly increased!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 1, 2020 Reflection - Help us, St. Joseph!

St. Joseph's protective presence with Mary and little Jesus

Bronze relief on Apparition Hill by Professor Carmelo Puzzolo

May 1, 2020
St. Joseph the Worker
Dear Family of Mary!
Today is the Optional Memorial of St. Joseph the Worker. St. Joseph is Our Lady's silent partner! His gentle, protective and holy presence in the earthly life of Jesus speaks volumes to us, even though he never spoke a word in the Scriptures. St. Joseph was there for Jesus and Mary. He chose to be their protector and provider, the one who would stand as a shield for them from the enemy and all who might harm them. We can feel his protection so clearly present in the infancy narratives. It makes us give a sigh of relief. St. Joseph was there.
He is also here for us. Though we may not hear from him directly, we instinctively know to go to him for help, especially in practical matters. And especially when we need virtues and strengths we haven't developed yet.
And so today, let's pray to St. Joseph for all those things we lack, especially in the area of virtue. Our Lady has urged us to take the saints as our models and teachers. Certainly, she has St. Joseph in mind! She told us:
October 25, 2004 "Dear children! This is a time of grace for the family and, therefore, I call you to renew prayer. May Jesus be in the heart of your family. In prayer, learn to love everything that is holy. Imitate the lives of saints so that they may be an incentive and teachers on the way of holiness. May every family become a witness of love in this world without prayer and peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Let us pray to St. Joseph today for all that we need, especially for holiness in our families!!
Litany of St. Joseph
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
God the Father of Heaven, have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us.
God, the Holy Spirit, have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, One God, have mercy on us.
Holy Mary, pray for us.
Saint Joseph, pray for us

Chaste guardian of the Virgin,
Foster-father of the Son of God,
Watchful defender of Christ,
Head of the Holy Family,

Joseph most faithful,
Mirror of patience,
Lover of poverty,
Model of workmen,
Example to parents,
Guardian of virgins,
Pillar of families,
Solace of the afflicted,
Hope of the sick,
Patron of the dying,
Terror of demons,
Protector of the Church, pray for us.
Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, spare us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, graciously hear us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
V. He made him lord over his house,
R. And the ruler of all his possessions.
Let us pray.
Lord  Jesus Christ,
by your ineffable providence
you chose Saint Joseph
to be the spouse of your most holy Mother:
grant, we beseech you,
that we may have him for an intercessor in heaven,
as we venerate him as our protector on earth.
You who live and reign forever and ever. R. Amen.
Here is another beautiful prayer to St. Joseph:
To you, O Blessed Joseph, we come in our trials, and having asked the help of your most holy spouse, we confidently ask your patronage also. Through that sacred bond of charity which united you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the fatherly love with which you embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you to look graciously upon the beloved inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by his blood, and to aid us in our necessities with your power and strength.
O most provident guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ. Most beloved father, dispel the evil of falsehood and sin. Our most mighty Protector, graciously assist us from heaven in our struggle with the powers of darkness. And just as you once saved the Child Jesus from mortal danger, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of her enemies and from all adversity. Shield each one of us by your constant protection, so that, supported by your example and your help, we may be able to live a virtuous life, to die a holy death, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
