Denver police told Catholics arriving for 7 p.m. Mass Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in northern Denver that its mural of Mary, the center of a long-running parish controversy, had been defaced with grafitti.
Mass-goers said police told them the word "basta" or "enough" had been sprayprainted across the mural inside the church.
