Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! In a special way today I desire to call you to conversion. As of today, may new life begin in your heart. Children, I desire to see your 'yes', and may your life be a joyful living of God's will at every moment of your life. In a special way today, I bless you with my motherly blessing of peace, love and unity in my heart and in the heart of my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call."  (March 25, 2011)

Our Lady always speaks in the present.  In her messages she doesn't dwell on the past or look too far into the future, but she meets us in our present moment.  She wants us to be grounded in our "now."  The past is past, and cannot be changed.  The future is unknown, and cannot be controlled.  Indeed all we really have for certain is the present moment, our "now".  Maybe that is why we say to her, "Pray for us now and at the hour of our death."  All we can be sure of us this moment, and that at some future moment we will die.  Everything in between is unknown.

And so in this message Our Lady focuses on "today."    "In a special way today..." and "As of today..."  Our Lady is meeting us where we are at today!  And what is she asking of us today?  She asks for conversion.  She calls us to new life.  She desires our "yes".  And she longs for us to joyfully live God's will at every moment.  These are all things that we can do "today".  They are all within range.  All we have to do is choose them.  By an act of our will, we can convert, turn to God, choose His life for us, say "yes" to Him and long for His will to be done in us.

Today!  We are so blessed to have today!  We have not yet reached the end of our rope.  We are not in our personal judgment yet.  We have our mental faculties, we can choose.  We are free!  There is nothing to stop us from choosing God!  How blessed we are!

Jesus told St. Faustina about "today":

"Jesus: My child, make the resolution never to rely on people.  Entrust yourself completely to My will saying, 'Not as I want, but according to Your will, O God, let it be done unto me.'  These words, spoken from the depths of one's heart, can raise a soul to the summit of sanctity in a short time.  In such a soul I delight.  Such a soul gives Me glory.  Such a soul fills heaven with the fragrance of her virtue." (Diary 1487)

Dearest Jesus spoke similar words to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane. "Father, if

thou art willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." (Luke 22:42)  Our Lady spoke them to Gabriel at the Annunciation. "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." (Luke 1:38)  At these two critical moments in salvation history, just such a prayer of acceptance and love of the will of God was prayed.  And the result was spectacular!  Our hope was secured by the "yes" of Mary and the "yes" of Jesus.  Think what hope could be secured in our own lives if we could imitate them, and choose the Father's will in our lives, today!  No need to look back with regret or fret about the future.  We can say "yes" today and enter into the Kingdom of the Father.  And our "yes" will draw many others along with us.

Our Lady concludes her message with another reference to "today": "In a special way today, I bless you with my motherly blessing of peace, love and unity in my heart and in the heart of my Son Jesus."  She takes this moment, this day, to bless us in a special way, so that we can convert and choose.  She blesses us with peace, love and unity, flowing from her heart and the heart of Jesus.  Today!  Let's accept it today!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
