[MaryVitamin] Marian Thoughts part II

Sorrowful

Mary Vitamin for April 12th

Topic: Thoughts of the Blessed Virgin Mary (continued)

Quote:
St. Maximilian Kolbe:
"At the right time she will gradually disclose to the soul all the mysteries of the Heart of Jesus, and the person will become Jesus' son."
Fr. Anselm W. Romb, OFM Conv., ed, The Kolbe Reader, 146.
Sacredheart

Meditation:
Our Lady's thoughts were always upon God especially remembering His Passion. Devotion to Our Lady means a profound devotion to the Passion of Christ.
St. Alphonsus di Liguori says that the shadow of the Cross always fell before the eyes of Our Lady. St. Francis de Sales teaches that one of the reasons Our Lady's prayer was so excellent was because she visited the places of the Passion. St. Julian Eymard says Our Lady was the perfect Adorer.

Resolution:
Today, when I notice that I am thinking about earthly concerns, I will imitate the Blessed Virgin Mary, and I will turn my thoughts to the Passion of Christ. I will begin a Hail Mary and think of one of the Sorrowful mysteries or one of the 14 Stations of the Cross.

Marian Vow:
St.
 Maximilian Kolbe:
"The Immaculata is our ideal. And that her life would be deepened in us day by day, hour upon hour, moment after moment, and that without limit such is our ideal. And that her life would similarly unfold in each and every soul, that is or will ever be --such is our ideal."
Marytown Press, Will to Love, Reflections for Daily Living by St. Maximilian Kolbe,  122.

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.
