Bikers gunnin' for good: From My Area of Lake County, Florida [Nice Story]

They have gnarly names like the "Gunners" and "Wild Pigs," ride big motorcycles and proudly display their patched vests as they fly down the highway.

But don't confuse these motorcycle club members with headline-stealing bikers in Florida who belong to clubs like the "Outlaws" or "Warlocks," called "one percenters" by authorities because the other 99 percent of motorcyclists are law-abiding citizens.

Members of the Gunners and Wild Pigs are not just law-abiding citizens: They are the long arms of the law. Both clubs, which have active Florida chapters, are primarily made up of current and retired lawmen, military and other public servants like firefighters.
