This is a great poster for the priesthood! It comes from the Diocese of St. Augustine in Florida. The kid is cute in that chasuble but you know, I really believe that the calling to the Holy priesthood is from Heaven and we are called from our conception to where God the Father wants us to be!Just like Our Lord said that "God created male and female" . . . "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one put asunder," it's up to us to respond to that grace of being called to serve His people! Unfortunately some parents put asunder the calling, or some worldly attachment, material things, riches, etc., block out and stifle the young man's calling.
Many a priest will tell you that they felt called from an early age, many a saint have written about playing priest as a child in their room by themselves; "many are called but few are chosen" [Matt.20:16] said the Lord and therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." [Matt. 9:37-38]
Yes, each of us has our part to play in the Kingdom of God the Father and when we join our wills to the Divine Will, we then doing what He wants for our and your salvation and His glory!
Young man, if you feel God's call to serve as a holy priest, please do not turn your back on Him, but answer the call with your "yes! I am willing and able!"
