SCRIPTURE COMMENTARY #412

And Jesus going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples apart and said to them:
"Behold we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and the scribes: and they shall condemn him to death. And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified: and the third day he shall rise again." (Matt. 20:17-19)

OUR LORD'S PROPHECIES: He foretold, in detail, His sufferings and death. He also foretold His burial, and His resurrection on the third day.

Forsake Me Not When My Strength Is Spent

In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame!
In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me;
incline your ear to me, and save me!

Be to me a rock of refuge,
to which I may continually come;
you have given the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.

Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked,
