"Our Lady loves everyone with a most tender love, but she has a particular predilection for priests who are the living image of Jesus Christ."

Meditation:
Fr. Emile Neubert, S.M., author of My Ideal, Jesus Son of Mary, gives a beautiful meditation on the consideration Our Lady showers upon her priests in, Mary and the Priestly Ministry. Here is an excerpt.
"Generally [priests] are born into, and raised within a very Catholic family. They receive calls to greater purity, holiness, and generosity at relevant moments. They become aware of an invitation to a more significant life, sometimes extended often and over a long period of time, and accompanied by the graces of strength and enlightenment needed to overcome hesitations and obstacles. Countless graces are bestowed on them during the time of preparation for the priesthood, especially the graces conferred at the reception of the various Sacred Orders, that of the priesthood most of all. And how many additional graces since receiving the power to offer up the Divine Victim! These include the opportunity for daily Mass; more immediate contact with the supernatural in the exercise o the ministry; compelling requests to give of oneself completely and come to the help of many individuals in distress; feelings of accountability, remorse, regret and encouragement when encountering special souls who exhibit a delicate conscience; and limitless generosity."

during the Year of the Priest? Pope's suggestions
A chaplet of five Our Father, Ave Maria and Gloria to pray for the purity and holiness of priests is in reach for me today. I will break up the chaplet in order to say parts of it throughout the day.
Marian Vow:
Fr. Emile Neubert, S.M.
"It goes without saying that Mary is not the ultimate goal of consecration to her. God alone is our final goal. But actual practice demonstrates, and traditional teaching indicates that total consecration to Mary is the best way to attain our purpose in life."
Mary and the Priestly Ministry, (Academy of the Immaculate: 2009), 50
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.
