Dear Family of Mary!
"...As a mother I implore you not to forget those whom my Son has called to lead you. Carry them in your heart and pray for them. Thank you." (January 2, 2018)
What a beautiful plea Our Lady made at the end of the January 2, 2018 message! "As a mother..." We all know how deeply from the heart a mother can speak to her children. She communicates with the strongest empathy and communion to her children. They are so much a part of her that they cannot ignore her pleas.
"I implore you not to forget those whom my Son has called to lead you." Our Lady must hold our priests very close to her heart to make such a plea. Do not forget them! Do not let them out of your mind or your memory.
"Carry them in your heart and pray for them." Indeed, carry them in your heart. To do this is to love them like your own flesh and blood. She wants us to remember them in our prayers and intercede for them often and deeply.
One of our shipmates had an experience in Medjugorje last fall that illustrates this call of Our Lady perfectly. She wrote:
Hi Cathy! Thank you for your reflection yesterday on us all being the children of the Father, it really struck a deep chord within me.
You may remember me, it was I who stopped you in a restaurant and asked you how you managed to look so young! [Ha ha!!] I was then on my fourth solo trip to Medjugorje, (I always go on my own as I can never get anyone to come with me!). For the life of me, I just couldn't understand why I was there again; I thought I had already received all my answers and so many blessings, but here I was again, on my own. Your article stirred up and reminded me of the reason why I was there! One day, I was given such an overwhelming, powerful knowledge of who God the Father is; it was as if He was showing me that He too was here, with Jesus and Our Blessed Mother.... I had to come to know Him also.
Still having the feeling of not understanding why I was there, on the last day whilst I was at Mass and when I received the Blessed Sacrament, I decided to pray for our priests. Suddenly I was filled with so much grace that the tears flowed profusely and when I left the church, I was sobbing so much and so loud I had to take myself off towards the car park where I knew no one would hear me! I had been praying for all priests in Medjugorje and for the ones whom I know, and one in particular who was very important to my family who had died a few years ago. I had this overwhelming feeling that no one was praying for his soul, and my tears were for the tragedy of no one praying for those of our priests who have passed away. I guess this is what Our Lady's school is teaching us all, bit by bit.
Can I please ask you and Denis to remember me in your prayers, particularly about the times when I feel no one wants to know about Our Lady appearing in Medjugorje and the beautiful graces she and her Son and Father are bestowing on us all.
May God Bless you both and thank you for all that you do in Jesus' name. Connie
Thank you Connie! Amazing graces! You met the Heavenly Father in Medjugorje and received the grace of praying for our priests from the heart! Yes, we will pray for you. Thank you for sharing what you experienced in Medjugorje! We are right there with you, loving Our Lady of Medjugorje!
I am amazed at the power of the Holy Spirit, giving Connie the gift of prayer and tears! What a sign of God's anointing and desire for her to pray for priests. Our Lady has asked us all to pray in just such a way. May we be given the grace of the Holy Spirit to help us pray as we aught!
Thank you to all of you for responding to Our Lady's call. She needs each one of us to be docile to the Holy Spirit, so we can support her in her mission of these days.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. Mike Nolan has created a new website where you can purchase and download his new CD's, "Mary TV Soundtrack", and "Oh Jesus, we adore you." One idea, these CD's might be a great gift for your priest! They are joy-filled and prayerful.
