St. Teresa of Calcutta

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! This is a time of grace. Little children, pray more, speak less and permit God to lead you on the way of conversion. I am with you and love you with my motherly love. Thank you for having responded to my call."  (August 25, 2018)

Today is the Memorial of St. Teresa of Calcutta, our dear Mother Teresa. She did not leave a lot of written texts. Rather she left a huge garden of souls filled with love and joy. She was a doer of the Word. And we all love her so much.

But she did say something about prayer. Here are two quotes on prayer from Mother Teresa:

Everything starts with prayer. Love to pray--feel the need to pray often during the day and take the trouble to pray. If you want to pray better, you must pray more. The more you pray, the easier it becomes. Perfect prayer does not consist of many words but in the fervor of the desire which raises the heart to Jesus.
St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Silence is the root of our union with God and with one another. In silence we are filled with the energy of God Himself that makes us do all things in joy. The more we receive in silent prayer, the more we can give in our active life.

Mother's words echo Our Lady's words to us on August 25th. Silence comes when we speak less. Prayer improves when we pray more!
Mother Teresa, we ask you to pray for us, that we will faithfully follow Our Lady in these most difficult days, bringing light, peace, hope and prayer to this tired world. Thank you, dear Mother Teresa, for your motherly life. You are so much like Our Lady!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
