Dear Family of Mary!
Gospel for April 17, 2019:
When it was evening, he reclined at table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, "Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me." Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to him one after another, "Surely it is not I, Lord?" He said in reply, "He who has dipped his hand into the dish with me is the one who will betray me. The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born." Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, "Surely it is not I, Rabbi?" He answered, "You have said so." (Mt 26: 20-25)
In the Gospel for today, Jesus announces that he will be betrayed (in the version according to Matthew). Jesus' announcement starts a flurry of responses. The Apostles themselves are aghast at such an idea. "Surely it is not I, Lord!" But it would seem they were upset by the idea. Could it be that they each had been tempted by the enemy to just such a thing? It would have been the enemy's tactic to whisper to each one that Jesus was now becoming an outlaw, despised by the powerful Sanhedrin. Wouldn't it be better to distance yourself from Him??
The enemy of our souls is constantly tempting us, in a myriad of ways, to protect ourselves, even at the cost of the innocent and righteous. It takes great vigilance to renounce such thoughts. To be like Jesus is to love and protect the weak, small, or politically unwanted.
At any rate, there was one who fell prey to the enemy's temptations. One who chose to betray Jesus. That one later did realize that it would have been better if he had not been born. But too late.
In this message, Our Lady encourages us to stand against such temptations to betrayal. She tells us that she has come to help us to be better, to love her Son and not betray Him anew. Let her words sink deeply into our hearts. She is with us to help us!
May Jesus be loved and prayed to, and not always betrayed anew! May we love and pray to Him with all our hearts!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

May 02, 2017 "Dear children, I am calling you to pray, not to ask for but to offer sacrifice - sacrificing yourselves. I am calling you to reveal the truth and merciful love. I am praying to my Son for you, for your faith which is all the more diminishing in your hearts. I am imploring Him to help you with the divine spirit, as I also desire to help you with my motherly spirit. My children, you must be better. Only those who are pure, humble and filled with love sustain the world - they are saving themselves and the world. My children, my Son is the heart of the world. He should be loved and prayed to, and not always betrayed anew. Therefore, you, apostles of my love, spread the faith in the hearts of people by your example, your prayer and merciful love. I am beside you, I will help you. Pray for your shepherds to have all the more light, so as to be able to illuminate all those who live in darkness. Thank you."
May Jesus be loved and prayed to, and not always betrayed anew! May we love and pray to Him with all our hearts!
