Dear Family of Mary!
Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! My Son, as God, always looked above time. I, as His mother, through Him, see in time. I see beautiful and sad things. But I see that there is still love, and that it needs doing for it to be known..." (March 18, 2020)
Our Lady shares a memory with us. She remembers how Jesus could perceive eternity even when He was on earth, living in time. Jesus, as God, always existed in eternity. Time was something created that He chose to enter when He became man. So, it must have been incredible to be so aware of eternity, so much a part of eternity, when at the same time He was immersed in the created time that we all live in. No wonder we don't always understand what He says in the Scriptures. He is way beyond us!!
Our Lady, on the other hand, knew our time pretty well. It was her reality. That is until her Assumption. Now she can peer into our "time" from eternity and see all that weighs on us so heavily, all that confounds us, all that is beautiful, and all that is not so beautiful. She sees it all. But she sees it with Jesus, through His Heart. And she loves us all so deeply!
And so, what is she looking for when she looks at us? Of course, love!! She looks to find love. Love is the pearl of great price, the treasure, the great secret needing to be discovered. How is love discovered? By being done! By doing it! Love is an action word. It is a verb. We do it. We feel it. We need it and we need to give it. Love needs to be done!!
Our Lady is waiting for us to uncover our treasures for her. She needs us to love her Son, the Father, the Holy Spirit. She needs us to love our spouses, children, extended family, friends and neighbors, strangers, etc. etc. But for it to be seen it must be done!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
