The Most Holy Name of Jesus!
January 3, 2023
Dear Family of Mary!
Today
we celebrate the glory of the Most Holy Name of Jesus! How many times
in a day do we say the Name of Jesus? If we pray the Rosary even once,
it is many times that Jesus' name is on our lips. I believe that Jesus
wants us to say His Name as much as possible. He wants to be on our
minds, in our hearts, in our conversations and our prayers, and in our
deepest desires. He is our love and our life! We are so blessed to be
given permission to say His Name intimately and often!
Remember how Jesus was named:
And
the Angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found
favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a
son, and you shall call his name Jesus. And He will be great, and will
be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him
the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of
Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end." (Lk 1: 30-33)
Mary's
Son is great, called the Son of the Most High!! He is going to reign
over the house of Jacob and indeed over the whole earth forever! And
yet, we have been given the privilege to call upon Him by Name!! Wow!!
Our Lady told us how important her Son's name is in this message through Mirjana:
"Dear
children! Do not seek peace and happiness in vain, in the wrong places
and in wrong things. Do not permit your hearts to become hard by loving
vanity. Invoke the name of my Son. Receive Him in your heart. Only in
the name of my Son will you experience true happiness and true peace in
your heart. Only in this way will you come to know the love of God and
spread it further. I am calling you to be my apostles." (March 18, 2000)
May
we invoke the name of Jesus, reverently and prayerfully and often!!
Here is a Litany to the Holy Name of Jesus we can pray today:
