Begin again to love...

Dear Family of Mary!
In our Gospel for today, Jesus makes fools out of the scribes and Pharisees. He knows what they are thinking, brings it into the lights, and then shows them the truth. It couldn't be clearer. But do they get it? NO! They simply are blind to the good. See for yourselves:
On a certain sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and taught, and there was a man there whose right hand was withered. The scribes and the Pharisees watched him closely to see if he would cure on the sabbath so that they might discover a reason to accuse him. But he realized their intentions and said to the man with the withered hand, “Come up and stand before us.” And he rose and stood there. Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than to do evil, to save life rather than to destroy it?” Looking around at them all, he then said to him, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so and his hand was restored. But they became enraged and discussed together what they might do to Jesus. (Luke 6: 6-11)
The idiotic response of the Scribes and Pharisees is so saddening. But before we throw any stones, it is important that we review our own lives to be sure we haven't done something similar. Our Lady has called us to repent, to love, to listen to her Son, over and over. She sees things from a much better perspective than we do. We are in need of the same kind of awakening that the Scribes and Pharisees needed. Mother teach us:
November 25, 1995
"Dear Children!
Today I invite you
that each of you begin again to love,
in the first place,
God who saved and redeemed each of you,
and then
brothers and sisters in your proximity.
Without love, little children,
you cannot grow in holiness
and cannot do good deeds.
Therefore, little children,
pray without ceasing
that God reveals His love to you.
I have invited all of you
to unite yourselves with me
and to love.
Today I am with you and invite you
to discover love in your hearts
and in the families.
For God to live in your hearts,
you must love.
Thank you for having responded to my call."
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
