Monday within the Octave of Easter
Dear Family of Mary!
Jesus Christ is Risen from the Dead! Alleluia!!!
"Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce the news to his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me." (Matthew 28: 8- 11)
Jesus, newly risen from the dead, appeared to Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, and told them, "Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me." Jesus knew that when the women saw Him, it would be a big shock. He wanted to calm that shock. "Do not be afraid..." The reality of His presence was all they needed!
Our Lady also spoke to her chosen ones with calming words:
September 2, 2013
"Dear children,
I love you all.
All of you,
all of my children,
all of you are in my heart.
All of you have my motherly love,
and I desire to lead all of you
to come to know God's joy.
This is why I am calling you.
I need humble apostles
who, with an open heart,
will accept the Word of God
and help others to comprehend
the meaning of their life
along side God's word.
To be able to do this my children,
through prayer and fasting,
you must learn to listen with the heart
and to learn to keep submitting yourselves.
You must learn to keep rejecting
everything that distances you from God's word
and to yearn only for that which draws you closer to it.
Do not be afraid.
I am here.
You are not alone.
I am imploring the Holy Spirit
to renew and strengthen you.
I am imploring the Holy Spirit
that, as you help others,
you too may be healed.
I am imploring Him
that, through Him,
you may be God's children
and my apostles..."
Our Lady speaks such words of love and comfort to us. She has a job for us to do but she wants us to be at peace, responding to her request in freedom and peace. Like Jesus, she does not want us to operate out of fear, but out of love. And so she tells us "Do not be afraid. I am here. You are not alone."
In these days when there is such unrest in the world, we need to be her helpers who accept the Word of God and help others to comprehend the meaning of their lives alongside God's Word. This is so important right now. There is a battle for souls that must be fought. And our weapon is love.
As we bask in Easter Joy, may we comprehend that Our Lady needs us to be her apostles of love who spread the Word of God which will draw many hearts to the Lord! And she is with us!!!
Blessed Easter!!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
