It is not good for the man to be alone.
February 13, 2025
Dear Family of Mary!
The first reading for today, February 13, 2025, is
from Genesis 2. It is the amazing telling of how God provided
companionship for Adam. We see God educating Adam. Adam was alone, and
he needed to realize it!! No animal would do, only another human, who
could be a perfect soul mate! So God made Eve!! I love this!!
Genesis 2:18-25:
The Lord God said,
"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a suitable partner
for him." So the Lord God formed out of the ground various wild animals
and various birds of the air, and he brought them to the man to see what
he would call them; whatever the man called each of them would be its
name. The man gave names to all the cattle, all the birds of the air,
and all the wild animals; but none proved to be the suitable partner for
the man.
So the Lord God cast a
deep sleep on the man, and while he was asleep, he took out one of his
ribs and closed up its place with flesh. The Lord God then built up into
a woman the rib that he had taken from the man. When he brought her to
the man, the man said: 'This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh
of my flesh; this one shall be called 'woman', for out of 'her man'
this one has been taken." That is why a man leaves his father and mother
and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one flesh." Gen
2:18-25
We have no idea how careful God was about making the
perfect partner for Adam. But we should trust it. And let that love
grow in our lives. For sure not only was Eve perfect for Adam, but Adam
was perfect for Eve!!!
Our Lady gave us the perfect way to start to have peace and love and unity in our families. Here is her advice:
Friday, January 27, 1984
"Pray
and fast. I wish that you deepen and continue your life in prayer.
Every morning say the prayer of consecration to the Heart of Mary. Do it
in the family. Recite each morning the Angelus, 5 Our Father's, Hail
Mary's, and Glory Be's in honor of the Holy Passion and a sixth one for
our Holy Father, the Pope. Then say the Creed and the prayer to the Holy
Spirit. And, if it is possible, it would be well to pray a Rosary."
This is the way to supercharge our families in grace!! Nothing better!! And here is more good advice:
October
25, 2004 "Dear children! This is a time of grace for the family and,
therefore, I call you to renew prayer. May Jesus be in the heart of your
family. In prayer, learn to love everything that is holy. Imitate the
lives of saints so that they may be an incentive and teachers on the way
of holiness. May every family become a witness of love in this world
without prayer and peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."
May we accept the beauty of God's gift love in the family, and pray, pray, pray!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
