Give me Wisdom, the attendant at your throne...
Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us!

St. Bonaventure
Dear Family of Mary!
St. Bonaventure is known for his great wisdom,
received through prayer and study, and of course, great humility. Let
us ask St. Bonaventure to pray for us today, to grow in Godly wisdom,
which comes through prayer, self-denial, and love.
Here is a beautiful prayer for the gift of wisdom from the Old Testament:
Wisdom 9:1-6, 9-11
God of my fathers, Lord of mercy,
you who have made all things by your word
and in your wisdom have established man
to rule the creatures produced by you,
to govern the world in holiness and justice,
and to render judgment in integrity of heart:
Give me Wisdom, the attendant at your throne,
and reject me not from among your children;
for I am your servant, the son of your handmaid,
a man weak and short-lived
and lacking in comprehension of judgment and of laws.
Indeed, though one be perfect among the sons of men,
if Wisdom, who comes from you, be not with him,
he shall be held in no esteem.
Now with you is Wisdom, who knows your works
and was present when you made the world;
who understands what is pleasing in your eyes
and what is conformable with your commands.
Send her forth from your holy heavens
and from your glorious throne dispatch her
that she may be with me and work with me,
that I may know what is your pleasure.
For she knows and understands all things,
and will guide me discreetly in my affairs
and safeguard me by her glory.
Our Lady has called us to Wisdom as well. She is the
spouse of the Holy Spirit, and the Seat of Wisdom!! You might say that
it is Our Lady that this holy writer was invoking in this prayer for
wisdom. Our Lady can teach us how to receive Wisdom and let it form our
actions.

"Dear children!
I rejoice with you
and in this time of grace
I call you to spiritual renewal.
Pray, little children,
that the Holy Spirit may come
to dwell in you in fullness,
so that you may be able to witness in joy
to all those who are far from faith.
Especially, little children,
pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit
so that in the spirit of love,
every day and in each situation,
you may be closer to your fellow-man;
and that in wisdom and love
you may overcome every difficulty.
I am with you
and I intercede for each of you before Jesus.
Thank you for having responded to my call."
Indeed, let us pray:

Thank you, dearest Mother, the Holy Seat of Wisdom,

God. Thank you, dearest Seat of Wisdom, for being our Mother!!
