Quote:
St. Teresa of Avila
"On the feast of the nativity of our Lady, I feel special joy. When this day comes I think it's good to renew my vows. And once while I was about to do so, the Blessed Virgin, Our Lady, appeared to me through an illuminative vision; and it seems to me I renewed them in her hands and that they were pleasing to her. This vision remained with me for some days, as though she were next to me at my left."

Meditation:
St. Teresa of Avila's writings are full of her direct experiences of Jesus. This saint and Doctor of the Church was gifted with locutions, visions and infused knowledge of the Trinity. Her experiences are of the highest order of union with God.
What is the foundation of such gifts and union with Christ?
Complete abandonment to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
St. Teresa reformed the order dedicated to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. St. Teresa was robed in the scapular of Our Lady. She wore the habit of Our Lady. She entrusted her life to our Lady. She even gave her vows to the

Blessed Virgin Mary.
Resolution:
Today, in preparation for Our Lady's birthday, I will not hold back . I will give everything over to Our Lady. I will trust in her promise to prepare me for Our Lord. I will renew my consecration in the hands of Our Lady. St. Teresa's experience "This vision remained with me for some days, as though she were next to me at my left" will be a source of hope to me.
Marian Vow:
"[L]et the tertiaries strengthen themselves in fidelity to their consecration to God and the Immaculate by renewing each day their Profession with the Marian Vow, using the formula found in the manual of prayer." (Marian Seraphic Pathways)
"Allow me to praise You, O most holy Virgin, with my personal commitment and sacrifice. Allow me to live, work, suffer, be consumed, and die for You, just for You. Allow me to bring the whole world to You. Allow me to contribute to Your ever greater exaltation, to Your greatest possible exaltation. Allow me to give You such glory that no one else has ever given You up to now. Allow others to surpass me in zeal for Your exaltation, and me to surpass them, so that by means of such noble rivalry Your glory may increase ever more profoundly, ever more rapidly, ever more intensely as He who has exalted You so indescribably above all other beings Himself desires." (St. Maximilian Mary)
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.
