(Luk 1:46-49) And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.

HEADLINE: Pope To Pray At Fatima Shrine During Portugal Visit

Pope Benedict XVI will make a two-day stop in the historic city of Fatima during a visit to Portugal this week.

On his arrival there Wednesday, the pontiff will pray in front of the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary at the Chapel of Apparitions.

The chapel is built on the site where three shepherd children -- Lucia Santos, 10, and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto, aged 9 and 7 -- say they saw a vision of the Virgin Mary on May 13, 1917, and four other occasions.

Thursday morning, between 300,000 and half a million people are expected to join Pope Benedict in a special mass marking the 10th anniversary of the beatification of Francisco and Jacinta.

This trip is the Pontiff's 15th apostolic journey abroad in his five years and is his first to Portugal as pope.
