Dear Family of Mary!

 

October 25, 2003 "Dear children! I call you anew to consecrate yourselves to my heart and the heart of my Son Jesus. I desire, little children, to lead you all on the way of conversion and holiness. Only in this way, through you, we can lead all the more souls on the way of salvation. Do not delay, little children, but say with all your heart: "I want to help Jesus and Mary that all the more brothers and sisters may come to know the way of holiness." In this way, you will feel the contentment of being friends of Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call."

 

Tomorrow we arrive at the 100th Anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady at Fatima! This special day will be observed in Fatima by Pope Francis and thousands of Our Lady's children. I propose that we pray very much for our Pope in the next 24 hours, that tomorrow he will receive and respond to the direction of the Holy Spirit especially in regards to Our Lady's plan for the Church in these latter days. May his prayer be pure and inspired, that God can pour down upon the Church and the world the graces we so desperately need in these days.

Our Lady of Fatima

It seems momentous that we have arrived at this centenary. We can only give deep thanks to Our Lady for guiding us through the last one hundred years, keeping our eyes and hearts focused on her Son, with hope for eternal life with Him. Through her messages and the gift of the Holy Rosary at Fatima, she has shepherded us through many wars and tumults. And in these final days, she has come to be with us in a special way in Medjugorje to continue and fulfill her plans for peace begun in Fatima. From that holy place she is spreading the peace of God to millions of hearts. 

And so tomorrow we will salute her as the Queen of the Holy Rosary. And we will again consecrate ourselves to her as our Mother and Mistress. Here are four different consecration prayers we can choose from. We want to give ourselves to Our Lady completely, so that she can direct and guide us in her great plan of salvation in these latter days. She needs us to be apostles of her peace, apostles of love.

 

Let's greet her tomorrow with hearts filled with faith, hope and love!! Let's ask her to stay with us and keep us close to her. Let's ask her to help us to respond to her call, and pray, pray, pray!

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

Any formula may be used to consecrate oneself to the Mother of God, as long as it involves a total oblation of oneself.

1. 0 Virgin Mary, most powerful Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and earth, in accordance with your wish made known at Fatima, I consecrate myself today to your Immaculate Heart. To you I entrust all that I have, all that I am. Reign over me, dearest Mother, that I may be yours in prosperity, in adversity, in joy and in sorrow, in health and in sickness, in life and in death.

Most compassionate Heart of Mary, Queen of Virgins, watch over my mind and heart and preserve me from the deluge of impurity which you lamented so sorrowfully at Fatima. I want to be pure like you. I want to atone for the many crimes committed against Jesus and you. I want to call down upon this country and the whole world the peace of God in justice and charity.

Mindful of this consecration, I now promise to strive to imitate you by the practice of the Christian virtues without regard for human respect. I resolve to receive Holy Communion on the first Saturday of every month when possible, and to offer daily five decades of the Rosary, with all my sacrifices in the spirit of penance and reparation. Amen.

2. I, . . ., a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy Heart, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.

Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, in the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose thee this day for my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to thee, and to thy Immaculate Heart, as thy child and slave of love, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and in eternity. O Immaculate Heart of Mary, overflowing
with goodness, Show us your love for us.
May the flame of your heart, Oh Mary,
Descend upon all peoples.
We love you immensely.
Impress in our hearts a true love.
May our hearts yearn for you.
Oh Mary, sweet and humble of heart,
Remember us when we sin.
You know that all mankind are sinners.
Through your most sacred and maternal heart,
Cure us from every spiritual illness.
Make us capable of looking at the beauty of your maternal heart,
And that, thus, we may be converted
to the flame of your heart. Amen

 

TOTUS TUUS (TOTALLY YOURS)

Immaculate Conception, Mary my Mother: Live in me. Act in me. Speak in me and through me. Think your thoughts in my mind. Love through my heart. Give me your dispositions and feelings. Teach, lead me and guide me to Jesus. Correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior. Possess my soul. Take over my entire personality and life, replace it with Yourself. Incline me to constant adoration. Pray in me and through me. Let me live in you and keep me in this union always.
