Mother Mary said at Fatima: "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the sure way which will lead you to God." St. Thomas Aquinas said: "The things we love tell us who we are!" With that in mind, I will try to post each day something about Our Blessed Lady, items about the Holy Roman Catholic Church, and public domain Catholic books too! I pray you enjoy my ministry!
Below are two albums of pictures that I created:

Novena to the Holy Spirit - Day 8
Dear Family of Mary!
Pray with the heart! Our Lady has consistently requested that we pray with the heart, that we come before the Lord with our hearts open and ready. But how often do we realize that prayer is not something we can do on our own? As St. Paul says, "we do not know how to pray as we ought!" We need help! Today we will ask the Holy Spirit to come to our aid. We will ask for the Holy Spirit to actually pray in us, for us, with sighs too deep for words!
Our Lady said:
"Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. Renew your personal prayer, and in a special way pray to the Holy Spirit to help you pray with the heart. I intercede for all of you, little children, and call all of you to conversion. If you convert, all those around you will also be renewed and prayer will be a joy for them. Thank you for having responded to my call." (May 25, 2003)
St. Paul gives us good advice:
Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words. And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.(Rom 8: 26-27)
The Holy Spirit does not leave us on our own in prayer. God Himself comes to us to pray in us, to pray with us, to show us how to pray. The Holy Spirit wants us to succeed in prayer! The Father wants to connect with us, and Jesus wants us to know how special we are to Him. So we only have to ask the Holy Spirit to come, and He will come, and He will pray in us with a sweetness we will never want to stop. This is prayer with the heart! And so we pray:
Come Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, come Let thy bright beams arise, Dispel the darkness from our minds, And open all our eyes.
Revive our drooping faith, Our doubts and fears remove, And kindle in our breasts the flame Of everlasting Love. Amen!
