Mary TV: December 14, 2021 Reflection - "Lift your head. Look up!"

For your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity.

December 14, 2021

Dear Family of Mary!

In the winter of 2020, during the time that the pandemic first took hold all over the world, I was walking out of Weekday Mass, early in the morning. And as I opened the doors to leave the church, I heard these words very clearly in my heart:

"Lift your head! Look up!"

It was very clear and short. But I knew those words were from the Lord. He was giving me instruction. I also knew something similar was in Scripture. And so when I got home I looked it up. Sure enough, here is the Gospel reading:

"And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Luke 21: 25-28

Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near....

Those words were chilling, but at the same time comforting. Because the Lord was describing just how I felt at the time. It was as though the world had been loosened from its axis. Life was shaking. But I knew somehow that God was not far away, but very close. He was not leaving us but coming closer. I have remembered that inspiration so very often, and it has helped me to move forward, in prayer and hope.

Our Lady gave this message in 2016:

December 25, 2016 "Dear children! With great joy, today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to give you His peace. Open your hearts, little children, and be joyful that you can receive it. Heaven is with you and is fighting for peace in your hearts, in the families and in the world; and you, little children, help with your prayers for it to be so. I bless you with my Son Jesus and call you not to lose hope; and for your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity. In this way, you will be open to God and to His plans. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Lady sees all that is happening, and she comes to us only with encouragement and hope. And with words similar to the ones I heard: I bless you with my Son Jesus and call you not to lose hope; and for your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity. We need to keep our gaze and heart always upon Heaven and eternity!!! Lift your head, look up!! Our redemption is drawing near!!!

I just want to encourage all of us to do this now more than ever. Lift your head! Keep your gaze on Heaven and eternity! Look up! Don't lose hope! Our redemption is drawing near!!!!

Mother help us to remember your words when we are tempted to look down, to worry about earthly things. We must not waste time on what does not last. God is moving. He is coming. We must be ready. We must receive the peace that Jesus brings to us at this very moment. Mother is with us to help us!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
