O come, thou Key of David, come.... December 20, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for Christmas, Day 6 O come, thou Key of David, come, And open wide our heavenly home; Make safe the way that leads on high, And close the path to misery. Rejoice, Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel! December 25, 2017 "Dear children! Today I am bringing to you my Son Jesus for Him to give you His peace and blessing. I am calling all of you, little children, to live and witness the graces and the gifts which you have received. Do not be afraid. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to be joyful witnesses and people of peace and hope. Thank you for having responded to my call." Our Lady knows about the Holy Spirit. In the Gospel for today (Luke 1:26-38) we are told of the Annunciation of the Lord. The Angel Gabriel comes to Nazareth to "a virgin" and greets her with God's invitation to become the Mother of His Son. And when she wonders how this could happen, the angel replies: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God!" Like Mary, God will never ask us to do something without supplying the gifts, the power and the way to do it. It just takes faith and openness to the Holy Spirit. We must ask the Holy Spirit to give us the strength!! All things are possible with God. Infant Jesus, hear us, Infant Jesus, graciously hear us.  LET US PRAY O Lord Jesus, Who allowed the greatness of Thy incarnate divinity and most sacred humanity to be born in time, to become a little child, and to suffer bitter death, grant that we may acknowledge infinite wisdom in the silence of a child, power in weakness, majesty in abasement, so that adoring Thy humility and littleness on earth we may contemplate Thy glories in Heaven.
