Christmas Eve

Dear Family of Mary!

Tonight, we will pray and await the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This night is a most tender night. We gaze at the manger and the Newborn Jesus in it, with awe and amazement, but even more with a love that fills our being. We love Him. And we know that He loves us. Love is all in all on this night.

Our Lady gave a very strong message on Christmas in 1987. May her words guide us in our prayer this night:

December 25, 1987 "Dear children! Rejoice with me! My heart is rejoicing because of Jesus and today I want to give Him to you. Dear children, I want each one of you to open your heart to Jesus and I will give Him to you with love. Dear children, I want Him to change you, to teach you and to protect you. Today I am praying in a special way for each one of you and I am presenting you to God so He will manifest Himself in you. I am calling you to sincere prayer with the heart so that every prayer of yours may be an encounter with God. In your work and in your everyday life, put God in the first place. I call you today with great seriousness to obey me and to do as I am calling you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

We will obey you, dearest Mother. Your commands are sweet!

Happy Birthday, dearest Jesus!!!!

Let us sing!:

O Little Town of Bethlehem

O little town of Bethlehem,
how still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
the silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
the everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the years
are met in thee tonight.

For Christ is born of Mary,
and gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep
their watch of wondering love.
O morning stars, together
proclaim the holy Birth,
And praises sing to God the King,
and peace to men on earth!

How silently, how silently,
the wondrous Gift is given;
So God imparts to human hearts
the blessings of his heaven.
No ear may hear his coming,
but in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive him still,
the dear Christ enters in.

Where children pure and happy
pray to the blessèd Child,
Where misery cries out to thee,
Son of the Mother mild;
Where charity stands watching
and faith holds wide the door,
The dark night wakes, the glory breaks,
and Christmas comes once more.

O holy Child of Bethlehem,
descend to us, we pray;
Cast out our sin, and enter in,
be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels
the great glad tidings tell;
O come to us, abide with us,
our Lord Emmanuel!

Merry Christmas!! God's Blessing to all of you!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
