Everyone who sees the Son...
May 4, 2022
Dear Family of Mary!
In our Gospel for today, Jesus tells us He will raise us on the last day:
For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day." (John 6:40)
Jesus makes it perfectly clear that if we see and believe in Him, the Father will give us eternal life and resurrection! This promise is something we cannot ignore or minimize. This is the source of our hope for eternal life with the Father in Heaven. This is what we should be living for!!
But do we live every day of our lives with our eyes on this hope? Is it at the top of our list?
I think that our sins are about the only thing that can dim this hope. If we are afraid to confess, afraid to admit, afraid to face up to, our sins, then our eyes drop down and we see something much less than the Son of God. Every one who sees the Son...we must dare to look right at Jesus, even with our sinfulness, and believe in Him, even before we make it to confession. We must keep that focus, and run to the Church to confess, so that the Father will bestow upon us Eternal Life!!
Our Lady spoke these words to us:
December 25, 2018
"Dear children,
on this day of grace,
I am calling you to love.
Little children,
God loves you immeasurably
and that is why, little children,
full of trust
and without looking back
and without fear,
completely surrender your hearts to Him
so that God may fill them with His love.
Do not be afraid to believe in His love and mercy,
because His love is stronger than every one of your weaknesses and fears.
Therefore, my children,
full of love in your hearts,
trust in Jesus
and say your ‘yes’ to Him,
because He is the only way which leads you to the Eternal Father." (Jakov)
"For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day." (John 6:40)
Here is the prayer to Our Lady we are praying every day in May!
In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!
