Rejoice in the life which God gives you...

Dear Family of Mary!
The
other day, I was about to do a normal chore, something I do every
day. I felt in my spirit a disgust for this task, and I felt so
grumpy. But at that moment, I felt Our Lady gently interrupting my inner
gloom with her presence. She gently reminded me that I didn't have to
feel the way I felt. I was free to rejoice instead of feeling so
down. There was nothing standing in my way. I could indeed be joyful and
grateful at that moment.
I
decided to give it a try! And the gloom lifted, little by little. An
inner glimmer of light began to grow. Mother Mary was right. I didn't
have to feel that way. There was so much to be happy about, to be joyful
about. Perhaps I had developed a habit of gloom! Or perhaps I had been
lied to by the enemy. But the truth was that I could be happy.
Our
Lady gave us a message that reflects the truth she was speaking to me
that day. She actually pointed it out to me as I began to write this
reflection. I had no idea what to write about, and she pointed out this
message. Then I remembered my experience of choosing joy! It all fit
together!
This is the message she pointed out to me:
August 25, 1988
"Dear children!
Today I invite you all
to rejoice in the life
which God gives you.
Little children,
rejoice in God, the Creator,
because He has created you
so wonderfully.
Pray that your life be joyful thanksgiving
which flows out of your heart
like a river of joy.
Little children,
give thanks unceasingly
for all that you possess,
for each little gift
which God has given you,
so that a joyful blessing
always comes down from God upon your life.
Thank you for having responded to my call."
May
we be blessed with the joy that comes from God, the joy that can fill
our souls with light and hope, thanksgiving and love. For this is our
truth. God loves us, and He has made us to be His own. We are the most
blessed children ever!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
