Mary TV: September 30, 2022 Reflection - Wait for the Lord, then follow in His way...

Wait for the Lord to lead, then follow in His way...

September 30, 2022

Dear Family of Mary!

I keep hearing in my heart the words from the Office of Readings a few days ago...

"Wait for the Lord to lead, then follow in His way..."

I feel that the Lord is trying to give me a way of living with these words.  He is asking me to never move ahead with a task or plan without first waiting in prayer for the Lord to lead me.  So many times the plans I devise without prayer turn out to be failures.  All my good intentions are not enough.  If I am living my life with the Lord and with Our Lady, I need to wait upon them, listen to them before I act on something.

Our Lady gave a message about this - here it is:

October 2, 2010

"Dear children;

Today I call you to a humble, my children, humble devotion.

Your hearts need to be just.

May your crosses be your means

in the battle against the sins of the present time.

May your weapon be patience and boundless love,

a love that knows to wait

and which will make you capable of recognizing God's signs,

that your life, by humble love,

may show the truth to all those who seek it

in the darkness of lies...

My children, my apostles,

help me to open the paths to my Son.

Once again I call you to pray for your shepherds.

Alongside them, I will triumph.

Thank you."

Everything is in this message!

We need humility, in order to follow Jesus.

We need to be just to serve Him.

We need patience and boundless love in order to know how to wait and to recognize God's signs...the signs by which He will lead us.

We need to be those who in humility reveal the truth!

This is how to serve God.  This is so powerful!

In Isaiah 40 God speaks to his people about these very things.  He first reminds them of his power and might, and He calls them to wait upon Him and follow Him!  I love this Scripture.  It speaks the truth of our human condition and our need for God.  And His desire to take care of us!

Isaiah 40: 25-31

To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One.

Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these?

He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name;

by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel,

"My way is hid from the LORD, and my right is disregarded by my God"?

Have you not known? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary,

his understanding is unsearchable.

He gives power to the faint,

and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Even youths shall faint and be weary,

and young men shall fall exhausted;

but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength,

they shall mount up with wings like eagles,

they shall run and not be weary,

they shall walk and not faint.

Teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to wait!!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
