Sister Emmanuel's Report from Medjugorje for May 2018

 Medjugorje, May 11, 2018

Dear Children of Medjugorje, praise be to Jesus and Mary!

1 - On May 2, 2018, Mirjana received her monthly apparition at the Blue Cross, surrounded by a huge crowd. After the apparition, she delivered the message Mary gave for all of us:

"Dear children, all that my Son, who is the light of love, has done and does, He has done out of love. Also you, my children, when you live in love and love your neighbors, you are doing the will of my Son. Apostles of my love, make yourselves little; open your pure hearts to my Son so that He can work through you. With the help of faith, be filled with love. But, my children, do not forget that the Eucharist is the heart of faith. This is my Son who feeds you with His Body and strengthens you with His Blood. This is a miracle of love: my Son who always comes anew, alive, to bring life back to souls. My children, by living in love you are doing the will of my Son and He lives in you. My children, my motherly desire is for you to always love Him more, because He is calling you with His love. He is giving you love so that you may spread it to all those around you. As a mother, through His love, I am with you to speak the words of love and hope to you-to speak to you the eternal words that are victorious over time and death-so as to call you to be my apostles of love. Thank you."
You may watch the apparition here:

2. Given the urgent need for help from Heaven for our world, an excellent initiative has been launched by believers for the feast of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th.  Remember: on May 13th 1917, Our Lady asked the 3 little shepherds to "pray the Rosary every day for peace in the world and to end the war."

Now on Sunday May 13, at 3pm, we will form a chain of prayer around the world and, uniting our hearts and our voices, we will offer a rosary to Mary!  By doing this we will be seeking her powerful intercession, in communion with all those who - in their thousands around the world - will want to join us. We will start by sincerely thanking her for all the graces she has already obtained for us, and will implore her ardently for an end to the culture of death and all the terrible wounds it inflicts on people today, especially young people. Our Mother needs our fervent prayers to defeat the powers of evil, the apostasy of many Christians, atheism, the black tide of pornography and deviations of all kinds, the idols of money and power, the slavery of drugs and that of the mass media... Mary sees humanity sinking deeper each day into sin. "Dear children, she said, "you are giving yourself up into Satan's hands without thinking!" So many people are serving Satan without realizing it, and are even worshipping him!

But Our Mother is there to crush the head of the serpent. By the grace of God, we have chosen to be Apostles of her love, and despite our weaknesses and failures, we want to fight at her side for this humanity that Jesus redeemed at such a great price. We will pray for our families, our friends and our enemies, our towns and villages, our countries and for the conversion of all men. Let us stand firm! United around our beloved Mother, let us take up our rosaries and pray with one heart and one soul, united in God's love, to obtain MERCY from Heaven for the whole world. So great is the power of prayer! We can hasten the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and shorten the time of trial! Don't miss this holy appointment, join us with your rosary in hand on Sunday May 13! (See PS1)

3. An exceptional live on May 13th! At 3 p.m., you are invited to participate in our live 'Special Rosary' in French, which will last about one hour. We will pray together several mysteries in connection with the apparitions of Fatima and you can send your prayer intentions just like for the monthly live program of day 3. Because of the different time zones, it goes without saying that everyone will have to adjust the time of the appointment when it is 3 p.m. in their country, which will allow to form a chain of love throughout the whole world, for the greater joy of Our Lady! Those who cannot pray at 3pm will be able to do it at another time in the day.

4. Ireland in crisis.... On May 25th, day of the referendum, we will know if this once so Catholic country agrees or not to legalize abortion. The consequences are huge and beyond imagination. If the wages of sin is death, promoting abortion never attracts God's blessing on a country! See: http://kingscourtparish.ie/2018/05/statement-from-bishop-michael-smith-on-the-forthcoming-referendum/
On the other hand, Portugal will be invited to vote on 14 May to decide on euthanasia. One more reason to remain faithful to the Rosary!

5. The Rosary on the coast in the UK took place on Sunday April 29th to pray for faith, life and peace in the British Isles.  Those who joined for this prayerful occasion implored Our Lady to ask her Son Jesus to help those in need.  This is something which a number of countries have done over the past year to implore heaven's Divine protection.  It is so badly needed!  We thank Our Lady for all the graces she has poured out on the UK and the countries which have joined together to pray in this way.

Dearest Gospa, as you have prepared the Apostles to receive the Holy Spirit, please prepare the "Apostles of your love" to pray with one heart and one soul, with the Rosary in hand, in order to attract on the world a shower of divine blessings!

PS3. Vicka's health has improved a little bit.  But she cannot receive crowds yet, Let's keep up,praying that she may show up again on her staircase ! Lately, Ivan has resumed his prayer meetings on Podbrdo at night, and Our Lady insisted again on the need to pray in the family and to have holiness in the families. When he is in town, Ivan also invites the pilgrims to pray a Rosary with him on Podbrdo at 7 am.

Mary TV: May 11, 2018 Reflection - The Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 1

The Coming of the Holy Spirit
Bronze Relief on Apparition Hill, Medjugorje
by Carmelo Puzzolo

May 11, 2018
Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 1
Springs of Living Water!

Dear Family of Mary!

Today we begin the Novena to the Holy Spirit which will culminate with the Feast of Pentecost! This year I want to keep the readings and prayers simple and short. We will consider a message from Our Lady of Medjugorje, read a scripture and then pray a prayer to the Holy Spirit.

Let's ask Our Lady to guide us in this novena, preparing us as she prepared the Apostles in the upper room on that first Pentecost!

Our Lady spoke to us on April 2, 2014:

"Dear children, with a motherly love I desire to help you with your life of prayer and penance to be a sincere attempt at drawing closer to my Son and His divine light - that you may know how to separate yourselves from sin. Every prayer, every Mass and every fasting is an attempt at drawing closer to my Son, a reminder of His glory and a refuge from sin - it is a way to a renewed union of the good Father and His children. Therefore, my dear children, with hearts open and full of love, cry out the name of the Heavenly Father that He may illuminate you with the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit you will become a spring of God's love. All those who do not know my Son, all those thirsting for the love and peace of my Son, will drink from this spring. Thank you. Pray for your shepherds. I pray for them and I desire that they may always feel the blessing of my motherly hands and the support of my motherly heart." (April 02, 2014)

This reminds me of Jesus' words in John, Chapter 7:
On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and proclaimed, "If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, `Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.'" Now this he said about the Spirit, which those who believed in him were to receive; for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. (Jn 7: 37-39)
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, our hearts become springs of living water, springs of the love of God, which flow out on those who do not know the love of Jesus. The Holy Spirit makes us capable of loving others. This is a great thing. We can change the world, if we learn to love and are empowered to love by the Spirit.

Prayer:
O Holy Spirit,
Uncreated Love of the Ever-blessed Trinity,
you are living Water and living Fire.
Fill my heart with the streams of your grace,
and make it clean before you.
Fill my heart with the fire of your love,
and burn up all the dross in it,
that it may be bright in your eyes.
Lord Jesus, let your Holy Spirit
dwell ever more and more in my heart.
Amen

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 10, 2018 Reflection -Jesus is the light of love!

(c)Mary TV  2016

May 10, 2018
The Ascension of the Lord
Dear Family of Mary!
All that my Son, who is the light of love, has done and does, He has done out of love...my children, do not forget that the Eucharist is the heart of faith. This is my Son who feeds you with His Body and strengthens you with His Blood. This is a miracle of love: my Son who always comes anew, alive, to bring life back to souls. (May 2, 2018)

Our Lady speaks to us so beautifully about Jesus. He is the "Light of Love." He is the Eucharistic Lord who is "the heart of faith". Her Son "feeds [us] with His Body and strengthens [us] with His Blood." He "comes anew, alive, to bring life back to souls." Jesus is our saving Lord!

I received a beautiful email from one of our shipmates in which she shared about her experience at Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament just recently. Carole wrote:
Cathy I have to share what happened to me on 4-19 at 7:30pm.  I was Adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament at St. Mary's Cathedral in Michigan and a light came through one of the clear panels of our stained glass window and first it shown on the lower portion of the monstrance. Then it kept moving up and when it hit the Eucharist it exploded into this light and luckily I had my cell phone in my pocket and captured several pictures.
Carole sent me the picture she took at Adoration! (above) Doesn't it just speak so loudly of Jesus' presence!! He is the "Light of Love"!!! He is "the heart of faith"!!

Carole then shared what she has done with this gift from Jesus.
I went over to see if I could get it printed and it came out so beautifully that I took it to a printer the next day and asked how much it would cost to make up 8x10 prints and on the back I printed off a page of large print prayers including a Spiritual Communion and Morning Offering and 3 o'clock Divine Mercy Prayer in the other side.
You see I am in an Apostle of Mercy group whereby we take communion to our shut ins and nursing and assisted living homes.  There are so many people suffering alone and many feel abandoned by God.  I was praying that night - Lord, how do I reach these people and let them know You are real so they would want to receive You joyfully and not feel so forsaken? And the sun shown on the Son and He gave me this beautiful picture to share with them all.
Then our local Walgreens had a special price if you printed 75 4x6 pictures, so I did. And everyone at church wants a copy for themselves and to send to their families. It's gone viral, being sent all over the state and country.
I urge all our prayer partners out there to visit their elderly or sick shut ins especially those in nursing homes. Come share Jesus with them by praying with them and being that Apostle of Light Mary is asking us to be. Bring them rosaries and ask if you can pray it with them, large print prayer books, pictures of Jesus and Mary. If they email me I would gladly email them a copy of the picture. It is so important we need to re-evangelize our elderly. All they have is liberal TV and they are losing their faith; we can't let that happen. Our God is such an amazing God when we just believe and trust in Him and Our Mother is asking us to help her. - Carole Jones, Michigan
Well, Carole is doing a great work, and Jesus is helping her. She now has a gift to give those she is visiting. The Light of Love!!

If you want a digital copy, let me know and I will send your email on to her.

May we all become Apostles of Our Lady's love, and Jesus' Eucharistic Presence!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 9, 2018 Reflection -Do not forget that the Eucharist is the heart of faith.

(c)Mary TV  2016

May 9, 2018

Dear Family of Mary!
"...But, my children, do not forget that the Eucharist is the heart of faith. This is my Son who feeds you with His Body and strengthens you with His Blood. This is a miracle of love: my Son who always comes anew, alive, to bring life back to souls..." (May 2, 2018)

Our Lady spoke to us very strongly about love, and about Jesus, who is love, on May 2. "Do not forget that the Eucharist is the heart of faith." If she warns us not to forget, it means we do forget. Jesus is a miracle of love for us. He feeds us with His body!! He strengthens us with His Blood. In our littleness we would fall away without His constant strengthening and nurturing.

St. Faustina was very aware of Jesus' presence in the Eucharist. She spent hours "at the feet of the hidden God..." as she tells us in her Diary.

784 + I thank God for this illness and these physical discomforts, because I have time to converse with the Lord Jesus. It is my delight to spend long hours at the feet of the hidden God, and the hours pass like minutes as I lose track of time. I feel that a fire is burning within me, and I understand no other life but that of sacrifice, which flows from pure love.

And Our Lady asked her to adore Jesus, hidden within her, hidden in the Blessed Sacrament, secretly and silently, day in and day out, in preparation for Christmas. Our Lady said:

785 November 29, [1936]. The Mother of God has taught me how to prepare for the Feast of Christmas. I saw Her today, without the Infant Jesus. She said to me: My daughter, strive after silence and humility, so that Jesus, who dwells in your heart continuously, may be able to rest. Adore Him in your heart; do not go out from your inmost being. My daughter, I shall obtain for you the grace of an interior life which will be such that, without ever leaving that interior life, you will be able to carry out all your external duties with even greater care. Dwell with Him continuously in your heart. He will be your strength. Communicate with creatures only in so far as is necessary and is required by your duties. You are a dwelling place pleasing to the living God; in you He dwells continuously with love and delight. And the living presence of God, which you experience in a more vivid and distinct way, will confirm you, my daughter, in the things I have told you. Try to act in this way until Christmas Day, and then He Himself will make known to you in what way you will be communing and uniting yourself with Him. (Diary 784-785)
St. Faustina lived for Jesus who was with her in the Blessed Sacrament. And she learned from Our Lady how to adore Him even when she was not in the chapel. She could adore Jesus in her heart, because He came to her in Communion and rested there, in her heart. She could adore Jesus continually.

I feel that this adoration of Jesus, within us, is the key to something very big! It is the key to living a life of love for Jesus without interruption. Our Lady seems to be hinting at this kind of adoration in her message. "Do not forget that the Eucharist is the heart of faith." In other words, do not forget that Jesus in the Eucharist is present to you, in your heart and in the Tabernacle, to be your constant companion in your walk of faith. Don't forget that He is with you, waiting for you at all times. Do not forget to adore Him. In adoration of the Eucharistic Lord you will find your way, understand everything, and become like Him. And it is not out of your reach. Simply adore him, right where you are.

Our Lady told St. Faustina to adore Jesus continually, and she tells us not to forget the Jesus in the Eucharist is the heart of faith. The best way to not forget this is to adore Him constantly!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 8, 2018 Reflection -God has chosen you little ones...

     (c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018

May 8, 2018

Dear Family of Mary!

Denis and I had a nice discussion about humility during the Hour of Mercy yesterday (May 7, 2018) and so I thought I would share with you some thoughts. I found this message from Our Lady about humility and I think it is perfect!
December 2, 2008 "Dear children; In this holy time of joyful expectation, God has chosen you little ones to realize His great intentions. My children, be humble. Through your humility, God, with His wisdom, will make of your souls a chosen home. You will illuminate it with good works and thus, with an open heart, you will welcome the birth of my Son in all of His generous love. Thank you dear children."

Our Lady says "God has chosen you little ones..." Don't you love to be called "little ones"? I think it is awesome. We are so little! Just thinking of the universe and how vast it is, can help us to realize how really little we are. But God is not deterred by our littleness. In fact, He loves it! He can see the universe in one glance, and equally well He can see each hair on our heads. He holds us in His hands, completely in charge of our situations. And He chooses us!

St. Faustina wrote about being little, and knowing that the Lord loves her in her littleness. It is a beautiful way to see ourselves as well:

Jesus. You know how ardently I desire to hide so that no one may know me but Your sweetest Heart. I want to be a tiny violet, hidden in the grass, unknown in a magnificent enclosed garden in which beautiful lilies and roses grow. The beautiful rose and the lovely lily can be seen from afar, but in order to see a little violet, one has to bend low; only its scent gives it away. Oh, how happy I am to be able to hide myself in this way! O my divine Bridegroom, the flower of my heart and the scent of my pure love are for You. My soul has drowned itself in You, Eternal God. From the moment when You yourself drew me to Yourself, O my Jesus, the more I have known You, the more ardently I have desired You.

I learned in the Heart of Jesus that in heaven itself there is a heaven to which not all, but only chosen souls, have access. Incomprehensible is the happiness in which the soul will be immersed. O my God, oh, that I could describe this, even in some little degree. Souls are penetrated by His divinity and pass from brightness to brightness, an unchanging light, but never monotonous, always new though never changing. O Holy Trinity, make yourself known to souls!

O my Jesus, nothing is better for the soul than humiliations. In contempt is the secret of happiness, when the soul recognizes that, of itself, it is only wretchedness and nothingness, and that whatever it possesses of good is a gift of God. When the soul sees that everything is given it freely and that the only thing it has of itself is its own misery, this is what sustains it in a continual act of humble prostration before the majesty of God. And God, seeing the soul in such a disposition, pursues it with His graces. As the soul continues to immerse itself more deeply into the abyss of its nothingness and need, God uses His omnipotence to exalt it. If there is a truly happy soul upon earth, it can only be a truly humble soul. At first, one's self love suffers greatly on this account, but after a soul has struggled courageously. God grants it much light by which it sees how wretched and full of deception everything is. God alone is in its heart. A humble soul does not trust itself, but places all its confidence in God. God defends the humble soul and lets Himself into its secrets, and the soul abides in unsurpassable happiness which no one can comprehend. (Diary of St. Faustina- 591-593)

As Our Lady says, "Through your humility, God, with His wisdom, will make of your souls a chosen home." What a blessing it is to learn humility! What a joy it is to realize how really small we are, and how in that smallness we are chosen!

Mary TV: May 7, 2018 Reflection - A Message Last Friday Night on Apparition Hill

     (c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018

May 7, 2018

Dear Family of Mary!
On May 4, 2018, Ivan's prayer group met on Apparition Hill, at Our Lady's Statue.  At about 10:00 pm Our Lady came to Ivan.  He was kind enough to share his encounter with those present.  Here are his words, as translated into English by Nancy Latta.
Also today, after the meeting together with Our Lady, I would like to briefly describe tonight's meeting to you. Also today Our Lady came to us very joyful and happy and she greeted all of us with her motherly greeting, "Praised be Jesus my dear children." Then, she prayed with Her arms extended over all of us here. She prayed especially over you sick present. Then Our Lady said:

"Dear children, also today I desire to encourage you to live my messages which I am giving you. Live my messages and encourage others also to live them. Also you, be a sign to others. I especially call you to be a sign to all of those who are coming. Thank you, dear children, for also today having responded to my call."

Then, Our Lady blessed all of us with Her motherly blessing, and blessed everything you brought to be blessed. I recommended all of you, your needs, your intentions, your families and especially the sick, and everything that is in your hearts: Our Lady knows best what is in our hearts and what we desire to say to Her. After that, Our Lady continued to pray for a while over all of us, and she left in that prayer, in an illuminated Sign of the Cross, with the greeting,  "Go in peace, my dear children." Thank you.

Mary TV: May 4, 2018 Reflection - Jesus has loved us first!

     (c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018

May 4, 2018
First Friday

Dear Family of Mary!

Our Lady's message for May 2nd is all about love, only about love, completely centered on love! She wants us to be centered on love too!! And to be centered on love is to be centered on Jesus! He is Love!

Dear children,
All that my Son, who is the light of love, has done and does, He has done out of love.
Thank you.  (May 2, 2018)

Jesus is the light of love! Jesus' will is always love. The Eucharistic Jesus is only and always love. Jesus is the miracle of love. We cannot say it too often. Jesus is love. And it is this love that we encounter in a powerful way in Medjugorje. Many pilgrims have shared over the years that they have encountered Jesus as never before while in Medjugorje. They tell of feeling the love of Jesus in a way that changes them. They feel His love, feel it in their entire being. It is a moment when they are held by Him in His powerful embrace.

It is hitting me that this experience of Jesus' love is essential. If we do not first experience Jesus' love, we cannot understand the life He calls us to live. We must first be loved by Jesus, if we are to turn and love others. And that experience is a gift that God gives to us especially now through Our Lady.

Regina Collins (who shares her testimony on Fruit of Medjugorje #182) experienced the love of God in Medjugorje in an extraordinary way. She received Jesus in Holy Communion and then she was flooded with love - a love she said was coming from God the Father. Jesus and the Father are one. Together they filled Regina with the deepest certainty of their love for her. She described it this way:

And we were brought to our group Mass, and I was thinking, "Oh, one Mass today, and one Mass tomorrow, and then I am home and dry." But this was what God was preparing me for. The group was brought into St. James Church, and we had our group Mass there. During the course of the Mass, people were coming in and out and approaching the Statue of Our Lady, so when it came to the time of Consecration, or just before that, our priest asked us, in Irish, to get out of our seats, and to walk up onto the steps of the altar. I had to go, because I couldn't remain there on my own in the seat. And as I walked up to the altar, and as I went to place my foot on the ground of that altar, I suddenly had a feeling of standing on holy ground. It made me gasp, to breath it in and exhale it out.

Then we were told to join hands for the Our Father, which I did, and the tears started to come again, except this time I wasn't afraid. This time I didn't try to fight them.  When we finished praying the Our Father, I looked to my left and to my right, and for the first time in my life I felt love in my heart for the people around me. We greeted each other and made peace with each other and embraced each other and by then the tears were really flowing. And I don't really remember what happened after that. All I remember is receiving Holy Communion, and this is the truly difficult part to explain.

When I received Holy Communion everything disappeared. The church disappeared, the ground beneath my feet disappeared. I was no longer aware of being in a physical building or in a physical place. All I could see was white light.   The whitest, brightest most beautiful light you could possibly imagine.   It was under my feet, it was completely surrounding me, it was above me. The only way I can explain it is if you dived into a pool, and you're in a pool of water - I was in this never ending dazzling light.   And at the same time I felt a powerful energy flow down into my body up through my right side and I felt a powerful energy flowing up from my body and flowing out through my left side. And at the same time I felt so tiny and so insignificant.   Somehow I knew that all the pride in my heart was being taken out and I was being filled with love. This love that God has is completely, totally indescribable.   There are no words in any language that can describe the love of God the Father. There can be no painting. There can be no music. No song. It is completely indescribable. It is overwhelming. It's a joy that cannot be described.... And I felt so tiny, so insignificant. It was like being cradled in the arms of a father.   The only way I can explain it is if you remember if you were a little child and you got lost in a shop and you're very brave. But when your father or your mother finds you and then scoops you up, picks you up, then the tears come and you feel the love of the parent.
I don't know how long this went on for, except that I felt a tap on my shoulder.   And I found myself looking up, and it was my sister.   And she says, 'Regina, what are you doing on the floor?' And then I looked, and I realized that somehow I had dropped to the floor and had my forehead pressed to the floor, on the altar of the church. And she had to lift me up. And Mass had finished and everybody had left.   And that's when the tears really, really started to flow.   She left me in the church and I was there for quite some time and it was waves and waves and waves of tears. But this time it was joyful. It wasn't upset tears. I just can't describe it. (Regina Collins. Fruit of Medjugorje #182)

I share this with you all because I believe that Our Lady wants us all to be filled with the love of Jesus. Only in that way will we be able to be apostles of her love, to save this world. Jesus has loved us first. So He will fill us with His love, if we ask, if we desire it. He will come and hug us and hug us and hug us, until we have absorbed His love. This is what He wants for us, and it is essential. Love begets love. Jesus' love will beget love in us and we will turn and love others.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mirjana greets Our Lady, May 2, 2018

St. Athanasius

Dear Family of Mary!
The message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace for May 2nd, 2018 (through Mirjana):

Dear children,
All that my Son, who is the light of love, has done and does, He has done out of love.

Thank you.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Dear Family of Mary!

In preparation for today's message through Mirjana, let's review the message from April. We are such blessed children to have such a mother!! She is giving us her wisdom and guidance every month. Thank you Mother, for loving us so much!!

Our Lady's message of April 2nd, 2018:
Dear children, through the great love of the Heavenly Father I am beside you as your mother and you are beside me as my children, as apostles of my love whom I ceaselessly gather around me.

My children, you are those who, along with prayer, need to completely surrender to my Son so that you may no longer live but my Son may live in you - so that all those who do not know my Son may see Him in you and come to desire to know Him.
Pray that in you they may see resolute humility and goodness, a readiness to serve others; that in you they may see that you live your vocation in the world with the heart, in communion with my Son; that in you they may see meekness, tenderness and love for my Son as well as for all brothers and sisters.
Apostles of my love, you must pray much and cleanse your hearts so that you may be the first to walk on the way of my Son, that you may be the just who are united with the justice of my Son.
My children, as apostles of my love, you must be united in the communion which emanates from my Son, so that my children who do not know my Son may recognize the communion of love and may come to desire to walk on the way of life, the way of unity with my Son.  Thank you.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: May 1, 2018 Reflection

St. Joseph the Worker

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Today I am calling you to live your new life with Jesus. May the Risen One give you strength to always be strong in the trials of life and to be faithful and persevering in prayer, because Jesus saved you by His wounds and by His Resurrection gave you new life. Pray, little children, and do not lose hope. May joy and peace be in your hearts and [may you] witness the joy that you are mine. I am with you and love you all with my motherly love. Thank you for having responded to my call." (April 25, 2018)
Our Lady wants us to have a new life with Jesus. But how can we live a new life with Jesus? What does a new life with Jesus look like?
I believe it is our prayer life with Jesus that will change all the other aspects of our lives. Jesus, in His humanity, has brought the new life to us. He has imbued our human lives with His divinity. And through his humanity, He shows us our new life.
Fr. Jacque Philippe writes extensively about prayer. Let me quote him on Jesus' gift to us in His humanity. It is very beautiful:
The humanity of Jesus is the primordial sacrament through which the Divinity makes itself accessible to human beings.
As creatures of flesh and blood, we need the support of material things in order to attain to spiritual realities. God knows this, and it is what explains the whole mystery of the Incarnation. We need to see, to touch, to feel. Jesus Christ's visible, physical humanity is the expression of God's wonderful condescension toward us. Knowing what we are made of, he gives us the possibility of reaching divine things in a human way, touching what is divine by human means. Spirit has become flesh. Jesus is the way to God for us. St. Philip asked Jesus, "Lord show us the Father, and we will be satisfied," and Jesus answered, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father" (Jn 14:8-9)
There is a great and very beautiful mystery here. The humanity of Jesus in all its aspects, even those that are apparently humblest and least important, is for us an immense space for communion with God. Every aspect of his humanity, each of his characteristics, even the smallest and most hidden, each of his words, deeds, and gestures, every stage of his life from his conception in Mary's womb to his Ascension, brings us into communion with God the Father if we receive it in faith. By exploring his humanity like a piece of land that belongs to us, going through it like a book written especially for us, making it our own in faith and love, we grow steadily in communion with the inaccessible, unfathomable mystery of God.
A Christian's mental prayer will then always be based on a certain relationship with our Savior's humanity. (Jacque Philippe. Time for God. Scepter Publishers. 2008. P.58)
How do we live our new life with Jesus? By knowing His human life, from start to finish. By meditating on His human life every day. By cherishing His life with us on earth, knowing it to be the way to the Father. And one of the ways to do this is to pray the mysteries of the Rosary! Our Lady's Rosary brings us close to her Son's life on earth, and then leads us into heaven!
May we investigate, meditate, cherish and adore Jesus' life with us on earth, and allow Him to show us the way to the Father!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
