Sister Emmanuel's Report from Medjugorje for December 2019

Medjugorje, 12 December 2019 Our Lady of Guadalupe   Dear Children of Medjugorje, praised be Jesus and Mary!

         1. On December 2, 2019, Mirjana received her monthly apparition at the Blue Cross, surrounded by a quite a large number of pilgrims, considering it is December. She then conveyed this message:    "Dear children, As I am looking at you who love my Son, my heart is being filled with tenderness. I am blessing you with a motherly blessing. With a motherly blessing, I am also blessing your shepherds - you who speak the words of my Son, who bless with His hands and who love Him so much that you are ready to make every sacrifice for Him with joy. You are following Him, who was the first shepherd, the first missionary. My children, apostles of my love, to live and work for others, for all those whom you love through my Son, is the joy and comfort of earthly life. If through prayer, love and sacrifice the Kingdom of God is in your hearts, then your life is joyful and bright.  Among those who love my Son and who love each other through Him, words are not necessary. A gaze is sufficient for the unspoken words and unexpressed feelings to be heard. There where love reigns, time no longer counts. We are with you. My Son knows you and loves you. Love is that which brings you to me and through that love I will come to you and speak to you of the works of salvation. I desire for all of my children to have faith and to feel my motherly love which leads them to Jesus. Therefore, you, my children, wherever you go, illuminate with love and faith as apostles of love.  Thank you."

As with all sites linked to Medjugorje, at the request of the authorities, we relinquish posting the film of the 2nd of the month apparition with Mirjana. Obedience is always blessed!
   2. At the Blue Cross, when I heard this message begin, "Dear children, while I look at you ...", I thought, "Oh my God, she is going to tell us that her heart is aching with sadness! But no, quite the contrary, she expressed how her heart was overcome with tenderness. Thank goodness! And then we too were filled with joy. The Croatian word used here by the Blessed Mother expresses a rich feeling of tenderness, joy, and even delight (Milina). She let her joy spring forth! In fact, among the pilgrims who bravely came to see her despite the cold weather, she addressed a specific group: "You who love my Son". Her entire message is aimed at her children who have made the radical choice to love Jesus and who put Him at the center of their lives.
The promises that follow are worthy of the great mystics! One can catch a glimpse of the relationship she had with her husband Joseph, with her Son Jesus, and a few close relatives such as her own parents, and St. Elizabeth, St. John ... "It only takes one glance, she says, to hear words that are not said and feelings that are not expressed. Where love reigns, time does not matter..." Who wouldn't want to live in that intensity of love which is the calling of every soul in this world, and is the indelible mark of our Creator? Who does not languish after that fiery love that is both bliss and torment? Bliss because of being already there, and torment because of not being there yet.   3. The forgotten message. Each year, on Christmas day, the Blessed Mother appears, holding the newborn Infant Jesus in her arms. She then gives us the Christmas message. But on December 25th, 2012, an exceptional event occurred. After the apparition, the visionary, Marija went into the sacristy to write down the message, and when she returned to the translators to read the message, she was pale and could not speak. We all wondered what had happened. Then finally, she told us: "Today, the Gospa did not give any message!" She had to catch her breath to announce: "It's the Infant Jesus who spoke! He said only two things: 'I am your peace. Live My Commandments!" Later, Marija told us that the Infant Jesus sat on His Mother's arm, and from there he gave the message, with authority. He had the voice of a 7-year-old child.

He who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, in just a few words, gives us the key information for our world - He tells us where we can find this peace, which is now so rare - and the process for finding it. To prepare for Christmas, we need to come back to the origins: Whose birthday are we celebrating? The stores are full of thousands of sparkling gifts, but sadness is everywhere! The Child Jesus is just totally absent! And yet, if you saw a sign, in a store, saying "Buy peace of heart here", the shelves would be empty in a matter of minutes! It would be the number one gift to be purchased and offered, the peace which is of God and "which surpasses all understanding," says St. Paul; the very peace we seek with deep earnest! Lack of peace is making us sick, and yet we seek it in places where -it gets  lost, as Mary puts it! Why do we reject the One who gives it gratuitously?  What harm has He done to us? We forget that peace is a PERSON who is life, love and light! A person who is everything we dream of having and do not have. This Christmas, Jesus will knock on our door .... It is His birthday! A new opportunity for true peace is offered to us in Him. Will we let Him in and give Him the first place in our heart?
To prepare for His coming, I make a suggestion: take out the little manger from your Nativity set that is still empty, and every day, put in something you decide to offer the baby Jesus to keep Him warm on this Christmas night. Every prayer, every hidden sacrifice, every gesture of forgiveness will be a little piece of wool... By doing this you will create the warm bedding of love in which Mary will lay Him down. He will reward you a hundredfold, and His peace will flow into your heart!
4. The weight of a baby. Stéfania grew up in a very devout Catholic family in Milan, Italy. But as a teenager, she soon turned away from the Lord. Studying at university, traveling to various countries and working as a manager gradually led her to stop praying; while as a child she was happy to speak to the Lord in her heart.
At the age of 38, during a holiday to Croatia, she felt moved to visit Medjugorje. Her first impression was that it was pretty lame, she felt nothing and did not see the point of coming to such a place. The shops, the restaurants and hotels ... Is that what Medjugorje was all about? But where is the Gospa? She was riddled with doubt. But in the evening, she decided to go to confession after 20 years of having abandoned this sacrament. It was the most beautiful confession of her life! She received absolution for all her sins, and upon leaving, the priest asked her to forgive a man who had caused her a lot of harm. Impossible, she thought! No way, it would never happen! But while she was walking along the road, without realizing it, she found herself praying for this man, and even forgiving him. That was it, the Gospa had touched her heart! She then climbed Mount Krizevac and the Podbrdo.  Stéfania felt like a different person. She finally managed to pray with all her heart and soul. The grace of prayer flowed freely in her heart; she had found her God again!
Then came a crucial moment. Her guide invited her to visit the crib in our garden and contemplate the birth of the Child Jesus. She listened to my talk in our little forest. Stéfania realized that she still had some people to forgive, because she felt trapped by some stubborn bitterness. That day, I talked about the Child Jesus. We asked the Mother of God to stand before us and to offer us her Child. Then I suggested that every person present should welcome Him. They could reach out their arms in the shape of a cradle to receive, in spirit, from the hands of Mary, her newborn Son Jesus. Stéfania closed her eyes and recollected herself to welcome the Infant God. It was then that she lost consciousness of what was happening around her, because she felt in her arms the weight of the Child she had just received!! Overwhelmed by this unexpected presence, so real and so tangible, she felt wrapped in an immense and unconditional love. More and more, she could feel the weight of the Child, and Stéfania understood that in reality, Jesus himself had come to take her in His arms. She felt that she herself was the child that Jesus had come to cradle. She experienced indescribable joy! This extraordinary embrace slowly dissipated after the meeting, and today, Stéfania says: "I will remember this eternal love forever! As the weight of the Child gradually disappeared, I felt that the Evil One was leaving me too, and that the weight of bitterness that had remained on my heart was dissipating."
On this Christmas of 2019, one year after this miracle, Stéfania will be coming back to Medjugorje... May her testimony inspire many young people to welcome this Child wholeheartedly and to give Him the first place, because He is the Love and Peace that everyone is looking for!
5. A child's wisdom! Sister Eugenia was explaining to some little children how to find true peace. She asked a little 8-year-old boy, "What do you think of Padre Pio? He had holes in his hands and feet, he had a lot of pain all over his body, he suffered a lot even at night... Do you think he had peace and joy in the midst of all this suffering?" The boy stopped and took a moment to think. "Yes," he said, "he had peace"! "And how could he have peace with all this," asked the Sister? The little one stopped again, then his answer came out, crystal clear: "Because he prayed!" At his age, he had already understood everything! 6.  Our next Live Broadcast on the message of the 2nd of the month will be on January 3rd at 9pm. The December 3rd broadcast can be seen here: https://www.enfantsdemedjugorje.fr/medjugorje-direct-du-3-decembre/We did 2 little films of 5' on jealousy and "A concrete way to help your priests" (Gaby or Nancy will take care of that!)https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj0N4Onr3OLP3ATJt0QbAoA/?sub_confirmation=1
7.  I have recently returned from my November mission in India (in New Delhi and Kerala), and I thank all those who prayed for it. It was a real shower of joy. The mission was organized by a large youth community, called Jesus Youth, which was established 25 years ago.  It consists of thousands of people who evangelize, mostly at colleges and universities, and any place where young people congregate. The quality of their Christian life is impressive! I had the impression of being on another planet, seeing their purity of heart, joy, simplicity, mutual love, and inner freedom that chastity provides. Saint John Paul II was right when he said that the most beautiful Christianity in the world was to be found in India! I also visited the great Divine Retreat Center, where thousands of people come one after the other, every day, all year round. They are indeed preparing actively for the Triumph of Mary's Heart!

Mary TV: December 13, 2019 Reflection - With complete trust give me your hearts...

St. Lucy

Dear Family of Mary!

(This is a reflection I originally sent on December 13, 2017!  Still timely!!)

June 2, 2007 "Dear children! Also in this difficult time God's love sends me to you. My children, do not be afraid, I am with you. With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live. I will help you to come to know the love of my Son. I will triumph through you. Thank you."

Our Lady is with us, so close to us, so near, that we have only to whisper to her and she hears us. She is near because this is a "difficult" time. This is a time of intense spiritual battle in which many souls hang in the balance. Mary is here with us as the Queen of this army, her Son's army.

God's love has sent her. God's infinite love knew just who to send at this time. He sent the Immaculate Mother to lead the battle against the enemy of our souls. She is equipped. She is strong and she can defeat him.

But she needs our cooperation. And so she asks us to give her our hearts, with complete trust, without fear. She needs our hearts, surrendered to her and to Jesus, so that she can fill them with light, the light of her Son. With this light we will recognize what is really going on in this difficult time. We will not be fooled. We will see the victory of her heart approaching.

Our job is to surrender. I found this beautiful prayer of surrender to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit which is also directed to Mary, on a parish website in England! St. Vincent's Parish! I share it with you here, and I will give the link so you can go to the site yourselves to print it off. It is very beautiful, and will help us to truly surrender everything in our hearts to Jesus and Mary, so that we will recognize the signs of the time we live in, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart!

A prayer of Surrender from St. Vincent's Parish -

SURRENDER PRAYER
God, my Father, I thank you for all that you are, and all that you do for me through your Son Jesus Christ. I praise you for my life, for your mercy and for your Eucharist. In Jesus' name, Father, I place myself entirely in your Heart. I surrender to you my whole self, my heart, my mind, my memory, my imagination, my will, my emotions, my passions, my body, my sexuality, my desire for human approval, my weaknesses, my desires, my sins.

I surrender every person in my life to you. I surrender every situation in my life to you. I surrender every relationship I am in to you. I surrender every concern I have to you. I surrender every fear I have to you. I surrender every doubt I have to you. I surrender all confusion I have to you. I surrender all sadness I am experiencing in my heart to you. I surrender all my wounds to you. I surrender all anxiety and worry I have to you. I surrender all that deceives me in my heart to you. I trust you to care for me and others in a perfectly loving way.

As I have emptied myself, and surrendered everything to you, I ask you now, Father, to fill me with your Holy Spirit and all the gifts and fruits of your Spirit. Holy Spirit you are the source of love, hope, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, tenderness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. Purify my desires. Help me to open my heart to you. Help me to become perfectly receptive as a pure child. Help me to believe in your love for me. Help me to hope in your love. Help me to receive from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus all grace and virtues necessary for me to become the person you created me to be. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, God Almighty Father.

O Most Holy Immaculate Virgin Mary. I entrust this prayer to your Heart, and ask you to press it to your wounded heart and intercede for me to your Son Jesus. Please help me to be as you are, a perfect disciple, an obedient servant, a true child of God. Amen.

Amen and Amen!!

I am excited that we can all draw very close to Mary's heart, and through her to the Heart of Jesus. There we will find the Blessed Trinity, with every blessing and gift we need to help Our Lady's heart to triumph!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: December 12, 2019 Reflection - Our Lady of Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe

Dear Family of Mary!

(I am re-sharing this reflection, originally posted on December 12, 2013!!)

Today is the beautiful feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She is the patroness of the Americas. She appeared to Juan Diego, a peasant in Mexico, in 1531, and through this simple man she revealed her presence and love to the people of Mexico, great and small. Her image on the Tilma of St. Juan Diego has survived to this day, a true miracle which testifies to her apparitions to him, and her gift of grace and conversion to the people of the Americas.

What has always touched me about Our Lady's apparitions to Juan Diego is the tenderness with which she related to him. She was so loving, humble, gentle and patient with Juan Diego. Her famous words of comfort to him when his uncle was ill have stayed with me. Here they are:

With a look of great love, Mary smiled at him and gently chided him for his doubts, ""Do not let anything afflict you, and do not be afraid of any illness, or accident, or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Do you need anything else?"

Do not be afraid...Am I not here who am your Mother?...Are you not under my shadow and protection?....Do you need anything else?...  These words are full of comfort and peace. This is Our Mother! She has spoken similar words to the visionaries of Medjugorje. Here are a few examples:

Thursday, March 4, 1982
...Be patient, my angels, do not be afraid of anything.I am at your side and guard you. If you have any problems, whatever it be, call me. I will come immediately and help you in advising you on best resolving the difficulty. Go in peace, my angels. Goodbye."

April 25, 1998 "Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer, to open yourselves to God as a flower opens itself to the rays of the morning sun. Little children, do not be afraid. I am with you and I intercede before God for each of you so that your heart receives the gift of conversion. Only in this way, little children, will you comprehend the importance of grace in these times and God will become nearer to you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Thank you."

January 2, 2010 "Dear children, Today I am calling you to, with complete trust and love, set out with me because I desire to acquaint you with my Son. Do not be afraid, my children, I am here with you; I am next to you. I am showing you the way to forgive yourselves, to forgive others, and, with sincere repentance of heart, to kneel before the Father. Make everything die in you that hinders you from loving and saving, that you may be with Him and in Him. Decide for a new beginning, a beginning of sincere love of God Himself. Thank you."

Our Lady has consistently demonstrated her motherly presence and solicitude for almost 33 years. (38 years now!!) Do we need anything else???

Also, when we live in this trusting and intimate way with Our Lady, we become like Juan Diego, we become carriers of her presence to others. As Denis said to us today during the Daily Rosary, we become the tilma! We are living proof of Our Lady's presence and love, because she shines on our faces.

Our shipmate on the digital sea, Reuben, said it this way:

I just feel so privileged to be here; to see us all become the tilma! This is real, real as the rose Mary sent my family on the first day of this Advent, real as all the angelic hosannas of every Eucharist, real as Mary's presence in Medjugorje, and real as the communion of saints we gather into our great boat of prayer! Praise be!! I want to be closer to Jesus, I want the spirit poured into me, but I can't do it without Mary's immaculate mold. She gives it freely, she comes to do so!!
Ave!

We become the tilma together as we pray in response to her call and live her messages! So, like St. Juan Diego, may we proceed without fear, knowing that Our Mother is with us and we are under her protection and care.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
Cathy Nolan

PS. The rose Reuben mentions was a supernatural gift given to his mother in law the other day. Here is the story:

Dear Cathy,
I have attached a picture of a present left on my mother-in-law's kitchen table during this first Sunday in Advent. The house was locked and no one has a key, and while we were all out doing our separate things, a perfect white rose was left for our return. My mother in law has been struggling to nourish her faith after the passing of her husband. Her husband was on earth a faithful Irish man with a great love for the rosary. What a joyful look was on my wife and my mother-in-law's faces, and what a joyful start to our Advent. I want to share it with you all at Mary TV because it was not possible for me to pray with you on the digital sea over these last few days, and so you were all very acutely present in my own personal Rosary during the hours preceding such a precious gift...
Ave!

Here is the Rose!

Thank you, Reuben, for sharing this gift from heaven for your family!!!

Mary TV: December 11, 2019 Reflection - To redeem us!

 "I am the Immaculate Conception"
(c)Mary TV

J.M.J
December 11, 2019

Dear Family of Mary!

One more day, I want to linger over the great mystery of the Immaculate Conception.  Here is something I wrote back in 2014 about it!

The Immaculate Conception is one of the more difficult dogmas of the Catholic Church, at least for many of us. Our Lady was declared by Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1854 to be "The Immaculate Conception". I love the way Pope Pius XI spoke about this declaration in the Apostolic Constitution, "Ineffabilis Deus":

And indeed it is wholly fitting that so wonderful a mother should be ever resplendent with the glory of most sublime holiness and so completely free from all taint of original sin that she would triumph utterly over the ancient serpent. To her did the Father will to give His only-begotten Son - the Son whom, equal to the Father and begotten by Him, the Father loves from His heart - and to give this Son in such a way that He would be the one and the same common Son of God the Father and of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was she whom the Son Himself chose to make His Mother and it was from her that the Holy Spirit willed and brought it about that he should be conceived and born from whom He himself proceeds." ("Ineffabilis Deus" - quoted from "Madonna, Mary in the Catholic Tradition. Fr. Frederick M Jelly, O.P. p. 100-101)

Don't you love this! Our Lady is so connected to the Trinity, so much chosen by all three Persons!! She is in the heart of their plan to save humanity!!

But as the Dogma explains, it is clear that Mary is just as saved that by plan as all the rest of us. The Dogma declares:

We declare, pronounce, and define that the doctrine which holds that the most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instant of her Conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin, is a doctrine revealed by God and therefore to be believed firmly and constantly by all the faithful. (PTOL 80-81)

The key words are "in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved free..." Our Lady was preserved from original sin, by the salvific act of her Son! Jesus saved Mary from original sin at her conception through His death and resurrection, even though Jesus' death was to happen years later! (It's a bit like "Back to the Future".)

And Our Lady referred to this unusual grace in one of her messages:

March 02, 2013 "Dear children! Anew, in a motherly way, I am calling you not to be of a hard heart. Do not shut your eyes to the warnings which the Heavenly Father sends to you out of love. Do you love Him above all else? Do you repent for having often forgotten that the Heavenly Father, out of His great love, sent his Son to redeem us by the Cross? Do you repent for not yet having accepted the message? My children, do not resist the love of my Son. Do not resist hope and peace. Along with your prayer and fasting, by His cross, my Son will cast away the darkness that wants to surround you and come to rule over you. He will give you the strength for a new life. Living it according to my Son, you will be a blessing and a hope to all those sinners who wander in the darkness of sin. My children, keep vigil. I, as a mother, am keeping vigil with you. I am especially praying and watching over those whom my Son called to be light-bearers and carriers of hope for you - for your shepherds. Thank you."

"Do you repent for having often forgotten that the Heavenly Father, out of His great love, sent his Son to redeem us by the Cross?"

There, she said it! The Father sent His Son to redeem us... Jesus came to redeem us all, including Mary, though her grace was prevenient, it came before He was conceived. And she was set apart for her great role in the redemptive plan.

Well, in the Immaculate Conception we celebrate that prevenient grace. We stand in awe of the Trinity's great love for us all, such great love that would provide for such a Mother for Jesus, and such a Mother for us. We now have this Mother who is "full of grace" as our Mother. And she is with us in a special way in Medjugorje.

Thank you, dearest Mother, for being with us. Help us to keep vigil with you, praying for all those who do not yet know the love of your Son. May your Motherly and Immaculate Heart triumph in our day!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
Cathy Nolan

Mary TV: December 10, 2019 Reflection - My Immaculate Heart

Immaculate Heart of Mary

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2016

J.M.J.
December 10, 2019

Dear Family of Mary!
I want to savor the Immaculate Conception a little bit longer!!   Mary's heart is immaculate, completely pure and clean.  Our Lady longs to draw us close to her Immaculate Heart. She wants to protect and guide us through her heart. She wants us to draw graces from her heart. She wants us to find refuge in it. The Immaculate Heart of Mary is a gift to us, to help us travel through our lives. It is a light for us. A hope for us. A joy for us! (For Tolkien fans, I think Our Lady's Immaculate Heart is like the Vial of Galadriel. It is a light in the darkness, to guide us as we travel in this dark world.)

Here are five messages from Our Lady about her Immaculate Heart that we might meditate on during a Rosary:

The vigil of the Immaculate Conception, To Jelena:
"Tomorrow will really be a blessed day for you, if every moment is consecrated to my Immaculate Heart. Abandon yourselves to me. Strive to make your joy grow; to live in the faith, to change your hearts."
November 25, 1994 "Dear children! Today I call you to prayer. I am with you and I love you all. I am your Mother and I wish that your hearts be similar to my heart. Little children, without prayer you cannot live and say that you are mine. Prayer is joy. Prayer is what the human heart desires. Therefore, get closer, little children, to my Immaculate Heart and you will discover God. Thank you for having responded to my call."
August 25, 2000 "Dear children! I desire to share my joy with you. In my Immaculate Heart I feel that there are many of those who have drawn closer to me and are, in a special way, carrying the victory of my Immaculate Heart in their hearts by praying and converting. I desire to thank you and to inspire you to work even more for God and His kingdom with love and the power of the Holy Spirit. I am with you and I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."
September 25, 2009 "Dear children, with joy, persistently work on your conversion. Offer all your joys and sorrows to my Immaculate Heart that I may lead you all to my most beloved Son, so that you may find joy in His Heart. I am with you to instruct you and to lead you towards eternity. Thank you for having responded to my call."
January 25, 2012 "Dear children! With joy, also today I call you to open your hearts and to listen to my call. Anew, I desire to draw you closer to my Immaculate Heart, where you will find refuge and peace. Open yourselves to prayer, until it becomes a joy for you. Through prayer, the Most High will give you an abundance of grace and you will become my extended hands in this restless world which longs for peace. Little children, with your lives witness faith and pray that faith may grow day by day in your hearts. I am with you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! When you come to me, as to a mother, with a pure and open heart, know that I am listening to you, encouraging you, consoling you and, above all, interceding for you with my Son..." (December 2, 2018)

Today is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception! I thought today we could let the prayer that Our Lady taught Jelena Vasilj speak to our hearts and help us to pray properly.

Jelena was very young when Our Lady taught her this prayer. And you can tell that Our Lady was speaking to a young person. The words are simple and straight forward and they can open us up to Our Lady in a truly childlike way.
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
(Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 11/28/1983)

O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Overflowing with goodness,
Show us your love for us.
May the flame of your heart, Oh Mary,
Descend upon all peoples.
We love you immensely.
Impress in our hearts a true love.
May our hearts yearn for you.
Oh Mary, sweet and humble of heart,
Remember us when we sin.
You know that all mankind are sinners.
Through your most sacred and maternal heart,
Cure us from every spiritual illness.
Make us capable of looking at the beauty of your maternal heart,
And that, thus, we may be converted
to the flame of your heart. Amen

Our Lady tells us:

"Dear children! Thank you for having responded to my call." (November 25, 1994)

May we all grow very close to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the heart of the Woman who is called the Immaculate Conception!! She is the Heart of our Church. Her Heart will keep our hearts burning with love for Jesus and protect us from all harm.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: December 6, 2019 Reflection - Mary, the mother of the recreated world!

(c)Mary TV 2019
Oh Mary, Conceived without sin!!

December 6, 2019
St. Nicholas

Dear Family of Mary!

On Monday, December 9, 2019 we will celebrate the great feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary! (Transferred from December 8, because it is a Sunday)! This feast of Our Lady is a big deal!! Mary's Immaculate Conception was the dawn of God's supernatural intervention to begin the work of our salvation. Mary was shielded from original sin by the prevenient grace of Jesus' sacrificial death on the Cross, so that she could be the Mother of the God-Man. The great work of our salvation was begun at that moment. Our Mother was conceived without sin!!

In our day, that work of salvation continues through Our Lady, coming to Medjugorje by the will of the Father, to lead us into the merciful embrace of her Son. She has come to save us all!!! She told us in 2011:

"Dear children! Give thanks with me to the Most High for my presence with you. My heart is joyful watching the love and joy in the living of my messages. Many of you have responded, but I wait for, and seek, all the hearts that have fallen asleep to awaken from the sleep of unbelief. Little children, draw even closer to my Immaculate Heart so that I can lead all of you toward eternity. Thank you for having responded to my call." (June 25, 2011)

Our Lady's Immaculate Heart is our safe abode. In her heart, we are protected from our enemy, and filled with hope. In the Office of readings on Monday, we will read this ode to Our Lady! Pray over it this weekend!! We have so much to rejoice in!!!
Here is a beautiful hymn to the Blessed Virgin by St. Anselm, used in the Office of Readings for this feast:

Blessed Lady, sky and stars, earth and rivers, day and night - everything that is subject to the power or use of man - rejoice that through you they are in some sense restored to their lost beauty and are endowed with inexpressible new grace. All creatures were dead, as it were, useless for men or for the praise of God, who made them. The world, contrary to its true destiny, was corrupted and tainted by the acts of men who served idols. Now all creation has been restored to life and rejoices that it is controlled and given splendor by men who believe in God.
The universe rejoices with new and indefinable loveliness. Not only does it feel the unseen presence of God himself, its Creator, it sees him openly, working and making it holy. These great blessings spring from the blessed fruit of Mary's womb.
Through the fullness of the grace that was given you, dead things rejoice in their freedom, and those in heaven are glad to be made new. Through the Son who was the glorious fruit of your virgin womb, just souls who died before his life-giving death rejoice as they are freed from captivity, and the angels are glad at the restoration of their shattered domain.
Lady, full and overflowing with grace, all creation receives new life from your abundance. Virgin, blessed above all creatures, through your blessing all creation is blessed, not only creation from its Creator, but the Creator himself has been blessed by creation.
To Mary God gave his only-begotten Son, whom he loved as himself. Through Mary God made himself a Son, not different but the same, by nature Son of God and Son of Mary. The whole universe was created by God, and God was born of Mary. God created all things, and Mary gave birth to God. The God who made all things gave himself form through Mary, and thus he made his own creation. He who could create all things from nothing would not remake his ruined creation without Mary.
God, then, is the Father of the created world and Mary the mother of the re-created world. God is the Father by whom all things were given life, and Mary the mother through whom all things were given new life. For God begot the Son, through whom all things were made, and Mary gave birth to him as the Savior of the world. Without God's Son, nothing could exist; without Mary's Son, nothing could be redeemed.
Truly the Lord is with you, to whom the Lord granted that all nature should owe as much to you as to himself.
This excerpt from a sermon of St. Anselm (Oratio 52; PL 158, 955-956) is used in the Roman Office of Readings for the Solemnity (Solemn Feast) of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 along with the accompanying biblical reading from Romans 5:12-20.

Mary TV: December 5, 2019 Reflection - Feel my motherly love...

(c)Mary TV 2019
Feeling the motherly love of Mary!!

December 5, 2019
Dear Family of Mary!

Our Lady concluded the December 2, 2019 message with these words:
"...My Son knows you and loves you. Love is that which brings you to me and through that love I will come to you and speak to you of the works of salvation. I desire for all of my children to have faith and to feel my motherly love which leads them to Jesus. Therefore, you, my children, wherever you go, illuminate with love and faith as apostles of love."

Our Lady speaks of the bond of love that will help us to receive Our Lady who will come to us out of love to lead us. Mary wants to come to us to communicate her motherly love and lead us to Jesus. She wants us to have faith, faith like hers. She wants us to know her Son and help others to know Him! She wants us to be her children who follow her and help her in her mission.

St. Louis de Montfort wrote extensively on this loving relationship between us and our Heavenly Mother, Mary. He was given a prophetic understanding of the role that Mary would play in the latter days. I immediately thought of his treatise, "True Devotion to Mary", when I read this message. Just as Our Lady talks of the bond of love that brings us to her and her to us, St. Louis talks about the powerful bond of love that is formed between Our Lady and her children through what he calls "Consecration to Mary".

As Our Lady said, "I desire for all of my children to have faith and to feel my motherly love which leads them to Jesus." Our Mother desires that we feel her motherly love! She can give us that feeling of love through our constant prayer and devotion to her. We must be receptive and ready for her to lead us and love us here on this earth!

St. Louis wrote about feeling Mary's motherly love in this way:

217. The soul of Mary will be communicated to you to glorify the Lord. Her spirit will take the place of yours to rejoice in God, her Savior, but only if you are faithful to the practices of this devotion. As St. Ambrose says, "May the soul of Mary be in each one of us to glorify the Lord! May the spirit of Mary be in each one of us to rejoice in God!" "When will that happy day come," asks a saintly man of our own day whose life was completely wrapped up in Mary, "when God's Mother is enthroned in men's hearts as Queen, subjecting them to the dominion of her great and princely Son? When will souls breathe Mary as the body breathes air?" When that time comes wonderful things will happen on earth. The Holy Spirit, finding his dear Spouse present again in souls, will come down into them with great power. He will fill them with his gifts, especially wisdom, by which they will produce wonders of grace. My dear friend, when will that happy time come, that age of Mary, when many souls, chosen by Mary and given her by the most High God, will hide themselves completely in the depths of her soul, becoming living copies of her, loving and glorifying Jesus? That day will dawn only when the devotion I teach is understood and put into practice. Ut adveniat regnum tuum, adveniat regnum Mariae: "Lord, that your kingdom may come, may the reign of Mary come!" (True Devotion to Mary, n 217.)
I believe that St. Louis de Montfort was experiencing this deep communion with Mary and was trying to explain it to all who would listen, way back then. But we are seeing it blossom forth in our day, through Our Lady's mission and presence in Medjugorje. It is that motherly love that comes into our souls, our hearts, and makes a home for love there, a home for Jesus to rest there. She praises the Father from within our hearts and that praise is a healing balm for our souls. She magnifies the Lord from within us, and we are filled with joy and praise!! This is the fruit of our consecration to Mary. This is the way we become helpful lights for her in our dark world. We become filled with love and fire for God, because she is within, igniting us!

May our Advent prayer grow as we ponder this message and the message of Nov. 25. We are being readied for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: December 4, 2019 Reflection - Blesssed are the merciful...

(c)Mary TV 2018

December 4, 2019
St. John Damascene

Dear Family of Mary!

"...My children, apostles of my love, to live and work for others, for all those whom you love through my Son, is the joy and comfort of earthly life. We are with you..." (December 2, 2019)

Jesus told us:
Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mt 5:1-12)

December 2, 2019 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace

(c)Mary TV / Anthony Zubac 2019
Mirjana greets Our Lady on December 2, 2019

December 2, 2019
Dear Family of Mary!
Here is the December 2, 2019 Message:
Dear children, as I am looking at you who love my Son, my heart is being filled with tenderness.

Thank you.

Mary TV: November 27, 2019 Reflection - May this be a time of prayer.

(c)Mary TV 2017

November 27, 2019
Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! May this time be a time of prayer for you. Without God you do not have peace. Therefore, little children, pray for peace in your hearts and families, so that Jesus can be born in you and give you His love and blessing. The world is at war because hearts are full of hatred and jealousy. In the eyes, little children, peacelessness is seen because you have not permitted Jesus to be born in your lives. Seek Him, pray, and He will give Himself to you in the Child who is joy and peace. I am with you and I pray for you. Thank you for having responded to my call." (November 25, 2019)

Mother Teresa of Calcutta spoke about prayer and the connection between prayer in the family and peace. Here is a transcript of an old video in which she spoke about prayer and its fruit:

St. Teresa of Calcutta:
Where does this love begin? In our own family. In our own home...
How does it begin? By praying together.
The family that prays together stays together.
And if you stay together, you will love one another. As God loves each one of you.
Today in the world there is so much suffering...because of the want of prayer, of unity in the family.
So today when we are together, let us make one strong resolution that we will bring prayer into our family.
That we will teach our children to pray.
And pray with them.
And you will see the joy and the love and the peace that will come into your heart.
Because the fruit of prayer is a deepening of faith.
And the fruit of faith is love.
And the fruit of love is service.
And the fruit of service is peace.
Works of love are works of peace.
That is why let us bring the tender love of God in our family.

Mary TV: November 22, 2019 Reflection - God will take care of everything.

(c)Mary TV 2018

November 22, 2019
St. Cecilia

Dear Family of Mary!

This is the last reflection before we receive the message on November 25. I like to prayerfully reread the previous month's message while anticipating the new one. So, here is the October 25, 2019 message:
"Dear children! Today I call you to prayer. May prayer be a balm to your soul, because the fruit of prayer is joy, giving and witnessing God to others - through your life. Little children, in complete surrender to God, He will take care of everything and will bless you; and your sacrifices will have meaning. I am with you and bless all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call." (October 25, 2019)

This message means so much to me. These past few months have been full of societal upheaval. It would be easy to lose our peace in such a tumultuous time. But Our Lady simply calls us to prayer. "May prayer be a balm to your soul..." She tells us that God will take care of everything...He will bless us...and all the tough times we go through will have meaning. And to top it off, she says, "I will be with you and bless all of you with my motherly blessing."

We are covered with protection and grace through Our Lady's blessing and guidance. In gratitude, we look forward to her message on November 25!

Mary TV: November 21, 2019 Reflection - The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

(c)Mary TV 2019
A Baptism!  Such a wonderful moment of presentation!!

November 21, 2019
The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Dear Family of Mary!

On this day we remember the Presentation of Our Lady in the Temple. Though this event is not part Scripture itself, it is an accepted part of the Catholic Tradition. Our Lady, as a young girl, was offered to God by her parents, Sts. Joachim and Anne. She was taken to the Temple where she lived for a while, serving and learning about the Lord. We can only imagine how precious and loving she was as a child. She must have soaked up everything about the Jewish tradition during that time.

Mary's time in the temple prepared her to be the "Handmaid of the Lord" who later in her life would so readily offer herself to the Father when the Angel Gabriel came to announce the plan of God, that she become the Mother of His Son.

The idea of presentation exists in our own lives as Catholics. At our Baptism, each of us is presented by our parents to the priest, as a representative of the Church, to be received into the family of God. And at our First Communion, after our first Confession, we are presented to the Church in order to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. And then at Confirmation, we are presented to the Bishop, to receive the Holy Spirit as we enter adulthood as Catholics.

These presentations are signal moments in our lives. They tell us who we are as Catholics and they provide for us the necessary saving grace we need to follow Jesus.

Our Lady has spoken several times in her messages about presenting us to her Son. Here is one message:
December 25, 1995 "Dear Children! Today I also rejoice with you and I bring you little Jesus, so that He may bless you. I invite you, dear children, so that your life may be united with Him. Jesus is the King of Peace and only He can give you the peace that you seek. I am with you and I present you to Jesus in a special way, now in this new time in which one should decide for Him. This time is the time of grace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Mother tells us that she is presenting us to Jesus "in a special way, now in this new time in which one should decide for Him." It is almost as if she, as our Mother, is presenting us to Jesus, for us to receive from Him the graces we need for this new time. Just as we were presented for Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation, she is presenting us to Jesus for the special graces that we will need in this time we are in.

I don't mean to equate this presentation with a sacrament. No, we have all we need from the Church already. But there are special gifts that we could certainly use, such as an increase of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord.   There are also Fruits of the Holy Spirit that we desperately need: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control. Our Lady presents us to Jesus so that He can give us what we need in these days to remain faithful and secure, so that we can help Our Lady to reach all the souls who do not yet know her Son.

So when Our Lady tells us she is presenting us to her Son, we should get excited! It means we are being brought before Jesus to be given Gifts and Fruits!!!

Mary TV: November 20, 2019 Reflection - I thank you for all the prayers...

(c)Mary TV / Anthony Zubac 2019
Thousands pray with Our Lady for the 38th Anniversary

November 20, 2019
Dear Family of Mary!

June 25, 2006 "Dear children! With great joy in my heart I thank you for all the prayers that, in these days, you offered for my intentions. Know, little children, that you will not regret it, neither you nor your children. God will reward you with great graces and you will merit eternal life. I am near you and thank all those who, through these years, have accepted my messages, have poured them into their life and decided for holiness and peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

This message from 2006 continues to amaze me. This message was given on the 25th Anniversary of Our Lady's apparitions in Medjugorje. Our Lady was looking back over 25 years of her presence in Medjugorje. She was recalling 25 years of apparitions to the visionaries and 25 years of messages to the villagers and the pilgrims.

The Lord had allowed her to come every day for those 25 years, to teach us to pray and to convert. And for those 25 years Our Lady had been building a furnace of prayer in Medjugorje, a powerhouse of prayer that was centered at the parish church, with the Rosary, Holy Mass, Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, Confession, Veneration of the Holy Cross, and countless novenas and special prayers prayed day in and out in Medjugorje!

She also built a prayer program on the mountains, where parishioners and pilgrims climb, do penance, and pray in silence while meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary and the Stations of the Cross. Truly the entire village is a place of prayer now, due to Our Lady's guiding hand, teaching us all how to pray.

And in this message on the 25th Anniversary, she thanked us all for having prayed for her intentions. Having taught us how to pray, Our Lady was now able to reap the fruit of that prayer. Her intentions for the salvation of souls throughout the world were being lifted up by our prayers.

She told us, and tells us, that we will not regret it! In the future we will not be full of regret at spending our time praying for her intentions. On the contrary, we and our children will be jubilant! We will receive great rewards from God for having helped Mary in her task of saving souls in these days. In fact, by cooperating with Our Lady's plan we will merit eternal life!!!

Eternal life!!! Nothing matters more than attaining eternal life with God in Heaven. Nothing compares to living forever with our God.

I believe we are still called to pray for Our Lady's intentions, 13 years later. The work is not finished. In fact, if we look at the world, it would seem the job will never end! But it will. We are on the winning side with Mary. She has come to change the world. And we can help her still, by praying for her intentions.

Denis and I find that we now keep the Mary TV channel going all day long in our home. And when our work permits, we pray along with the rosaries, pray along with the English Mass, pray along with the whole evening program including adoration...we just pray along with the parish all day long. While doing this we are praying for Our Lady's intentions in these days. And it is wonderful!

God bless all of you, our shipmates, for making Mary TV a reality. And may we all accept Our Lady's messages, and pour them into our lives, deciding for holiness and peace and responding to her call!!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
