Mary Vitamin for April 21st
Topic: Our Lady's "thoughtfulness"
Quote:
Mother Teresa
"The thoughtfulness of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph was so great that it made Nazareth the abode of the Most High."
Thirsting For God, (Servant Publications), 177
Meditation:
"Thoughtfulness" involves putting someone else's wishes ahead of my own; responding readily to even minor requests; a polite demeanor despite anxieties and pressures.
Mother Teresa:
"If we have that thoughtfulness for each other, our homes will really become the abode of God, Most High. The quickest and surest way to that goal is to tame the tongue, using it to speak well of others. From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. If your heart is full of love, you will speak of love."
Thirsting For God, (Servant Publications), 177.
Resolution:
To practice the "thoughtfulness of the Holy Family" is a way of practicing humility, obedience, and charity. Humility is the foundation of virtue, obedience the surest path to virtue and charity is the greatest of all according to St. Paul.
Today I will practice one act of "thoughtfulness." I will remember the spirit of the Holy Family and be confident that this is the path to making my home "the abode of the Most High."
Marian Vow:
Mother Teresa
"When we really belong to Mary, we will find obedience to be the greatest means for growing in holiness and living in the constant presence of God."
Thirsting For God, (Servant Publications),80
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
