April 13, 1204

The Siege of Constantinople...

On this day in 1204, the forces of the Fourth Crusade effectively laid siege to and sacked the ancient city of Constantinople. The attack resulted in the establishment of the Latin Empire of Constantinople, which lasted from 1204-1261.

Forsake Me Not When My Strength Is Spent

In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame!
In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me;
