St. John Chrysostom

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children; with all my heart and soul full of faith and love in the Heavenly Father, I gave my Son to you and am giving him to you anew. My Son has brought you, the people of the entire world, to know the only true God and his love. He has led you on the way of truth and made you brothers. Therefore, my children, do not wander, do not close your heart before that truth, hope and love. Everything around you is passing and everything is falling apart, only the glory of God remains. Therefore, renounce everything that distances you from the Lord. Adore him alone, because he is the only true God. I am with you and I will remain with you. I am especially praying for the shepherds that they may be worthy representatives of my Son and may lead you with love on the way of truth. Thank you."

Our Lady tells us in this message: "Therefore, my children, do not wander, do not close your heart before that truth, hope and love."  Like a mother on an outing with her little ones, she calls us back to her side. She wants us to walk with her and to stay close to her. There are many dangers in the world that we may not understand. We need to stay close to Mary, so that she can guide us through them safely. She also wants us to keep our sights on the Lord and not get distracted. Staying close to her will help us stay focused. She will continue to point the way for us, showing us our future with God.

She also wants us to have open hearts that can receive from God. God has given us his truth, hope and love and we need to stay fixed on it. The truth is that God exists, that the Father loves us, that the Son became man and died for us, and that the Holy Spirit is with us to transform us and unite us to God. This truth brings us hope, hope in eternal life! And this hope fills us with love, the love that has been bestowed upon us in Christ.

So, as wee ones, we are called to stay close to our Mother and listen to her words of wisdom. I, for one, do not ever want to be far from her side. Not at all far from her side!

St. Faustina recorded a visit she had from Mary in her diary, and it reminds me very much of this message. See what you think:

"March 25. In the morning, during meditation, God's presence enveloped me in a special way, as I saw the immeasurable greatness of God and, at the same time, His condescension to His creatures. Then I saw the Mother of God, who said to me, Oh, how pleasing to God is the soul that follows faithfully the inspirations of His grace! I gave the Savior to the world; as for you, you have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just judge. Oh, how terrible is that day. Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for [granting] mercy. If you keep silent now, you will be answering for a great number of souls on that terrible day. Fear nothing. Be faithful to the end. I sympathize with you." (Diary 635)

Our Lady spoke very clearly to St. Faustina about God's will for her. It was to spread devotion to the Divine Mercy of Jesus. And we have seen the inestimable fruit that was born from St. Faustina's obedience. I think Our Lady wants us to respond to God's grace for each of us as well. We each have a job to do. If we do not wander, but stay close to Mother Mary and keep our eyes on the Lord, we will understand God's call for us, and in our own small ways, help in God's great plan of salvation in these late days.

Our Lady exhorted St. Faustina to "Fear nothing. Be faithful to the end." She has told us: "I am with you and I will remain with you." This is a great consolation to us. She also said: "Be strong and resolute." (August 25, 2011) She is with us to help us remain so!

In Jesus and Mary!
