In his Angelus reflections this Sunday before 4 thousand faithful gathered in the courtyard of his summer residence, Pope Benedict spoke of St. Bonaventure, St. Francis's successor, remembered by the Church on July 15. Francis, he said, put into practice the message of this Sunday's Gospel in which St. Mark narrates the first sending forth of the apostles by Jesus.
