The Doctor of Love
Last week, we heard from one of
the four women who are Doctors of the Church (yes, you are up on Church
issues if you know who the fourth one is). This week we hear from Saint
Therese of Lisieux . She was declared a “Doctor of Love” in the
Church, and to the best of our knowledge, no other Doctor of the Church
has this title.
“My virtues are nothing. They are NOT what give me the unlimited
confidence that I feel in my heart. They are to tell the truth the
spiritual riches that render one unjust , when one rests in them with
complacence and one believes they are something great….Ah! I really
feel that it is not this at all that pleases God in my little soul:;
what pleases Him is that He sees me loving my littleness and poverty,
the blind hope that I have in his mercy….that is my only treasure….why
would this treasure not be yours?....It is confidence and nothing but
confidence that must lead us to Love.”
You can receive complimentary materials to make your Consecration to God through Mary’s Immaculate Heart (important spiritual protection at this time in salvation history) at myconsecration.org... where you can also learn about Our Lady of Las Lajas.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
