Yesterday, October 13, 2013, the Holy Father, Pope Francis, Consecrated the World to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Saint Peter’s in Rome. The Vatican said that the Consecration, part of what was called the Marian Day was the ‘key event of the Year of Faith,’ which was declared by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. October 13, is the feast day of the miracle of the sun at Fatima, and the statue of Our Lady from Fatima was brought to Rome for the occasion.

Saturday, the day before the Consecration, as the Community gathered to pray their morning prayer, the following message was picked at random from Words from Heaven:

November 21, 1983
“Tuesday, that is tomorrow, the whole group will find peace in prayer. All its members will be invigorated in prayer, as it is the wish of Jesus. He entrusts something to each one, and wishes something from each one. It is necessary to make them come back to their promises, which were made at the beginning, and to pray.”

The founder got up afterwards and said that Our Lady was clearly speaking of the Consecration that would take place in Rome the next day, and that this message was for the Community to take to heart, that Our Lady was speaking directly to us about our life, that this Consecration that we would be in union in prayer would be something significant for the world. He, therefore, called for the Community to wake up in the middle of the night to do the Consecration at the same moment as in Rome.

On Sunday October 13, as over 100,000 gathered at St. Peter’s in Rome, the Community of Caritas gathered in the Field of Apparitions at Caritas. Our founder had a pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima brought out to the Field and candles were set up. At 3:30 AM Caritas time, the whole Community, including small children, joined in silent prayer for an hour. The silent prayer was followed by the Solemn Act of Consecration that was prayed by John Paul on March 25, 1984. It was a beautiful night under a star-filled sky, the air slightly crisp and clear. All sensed in a special way there was something significant taking place for the whole world.

Later in the morning, after the 11 AM daily Rosary, which coincides with the Rosary and apparition in Medjugorje, the Community, once again, gathered in the Field. As the time for the apparition of Our Lady drew near at 11:40 AM, the Founder asked all to come closer to the Fatima statue that still sat upon the altar. The founder began looking at the kids, and told the Community:

“…kids, this is a special, special day. There’s few times in history that people have been able to have been ‘in the know’ of what happens in Heaven. And we know on March 25, 1984, when [Pope John Paul] did the consecration, we only discovered afterwards, that Bishop Hnilica* was smuggled into Russia and Consecrated Russia. Lucia, the visionary from Fatima, at that point said that this fulfilled the obligation of the Consecration [that Our Lady requested at Fatima]; and of course Russia fell within four years, it started falling at this point. Our Lady in Medjugorje said on that same March 25, 1984:

“Rejoice with me and with my angels because a part of my plan has already been realized…”

So, today at 3:30 this morning, we did the Consecration, which was the same Consecration Pope John Paul did on March 25, 1984; and so, during this moment of apparition we contemplate in silence Our Lady and what happens from this moment forward, at around 4:30-5:00 this morning whenever the Consecration took place in Rome, and we were in union with it.

“So, this is a big day, more than a historic day - something will happen. There’s no question that there’s a movement in Heaven and that God has granted Our Lady whatever She wants at this point, this day at this point at this Consecration of the World. So we will be silent, kids we will be silent for a few minutes and just contemplate, even though we don’t know the details, that this is history being made at this moment for all eternity.”

With patience, we await in prayer and obedience to God’s Word and Our Lady’s messages and for Heaven to act. How Heaven chooses to act we do not know, but we have the history of what has been done in the past as to what we can expect in the future. We do know that ‘something will happen.’

Community of Caritas inthe Field October 13, 2013 A.D.

3:30am Sunday, October 13, 2013 A.D., the Community of Caritas gathered in the Field of Apparitions silently, our hearts united in prayer with the Holy Father, the Vicar of Christ, as he entrusted the world to Our Lady.
A Friend of Medjugorje wrote in 2011:

"Our Lady’s daily blessing is exorcistic in its power, to not only purify the Church bringing to light scandals and errors, but to call the whole world to conversion, one flock gathering under the mantle of the Holy Virgin Mary who will present this untied flock to Her Son, Jesus Christ who will bring renewal to the Church, the Church led by the Great Shepherd, the Vicar of Jesus. The gates of hell will rattle so hard in an effort to burst open against the Church the Vicar leads that even the elect may wonder will hell prevail, despite the Word’s promise that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Holy Church. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18:
“And I say to you, you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

God sends Our Lady in fulfilling this promise that hell will not prevail against it…

Community of Caritas inthe Field October 13, 2013 A.D.

It is a joy to be able to gather together as one people of faith with the Holy Father during this moment in history. We only hope to grasp the significance of these moments we live through prayer. Our Lady said on October 2, 2007:

"… I call you to accompany me in my mission of God with an open heart and complete trust…my children, do not stop praying for the gift of faith. Only through faith will the Word of God be light in this darkness which desires to envelop us. Do not be afraid, I am with you..."

At the prompting of the Founder, those present knelt in reflection around the altar, pausing to grasp the significance of the day and the words our Founder was saying in light of Our Lady’s messages. Living these moments, we reflect on Our Lady’s desires through Her daily apparitions for the Church and the world as Vicka said on July 13, 2011 to pilgrims in Medjugorje:

“…Our Lady also recommends that we pray for the Holy Father, for all the Bishops and priests. That we pray for the whole Church because our Church is in need of our prayers. But in a special way, Our Lady recommends to pray for one of Her plans that needs to be realized. One of the things that makes Our Lady especially sad in these moments are young people and families. She suffers a lot. Our Lady says we need to pray for peace, but we need to pray together with Her to pray for Her intentions, that we help Her plans be realized...”
