Dear Family of Mary!
March 18, 2015
"Dear children! With a full heart I am asking you, I am imploring you children: cleanse your hearts of sin and lift them up to God and to eternal life. I am imploring you: be vigilant and open for truth. Do not permit for all that is of this earth to distance you from the true cognition of the contentment in the communion with my Son. I am leading you on the way of true wisdom, because only with true wisdom can you come to know true peace and the true good. Do not waste time asking for signs of the Heavenly Father, because He has already given you the greatest sign, which is my Son. Therefore, my children, pray so that the Holy Spirit can lead you into truth, can help you to come to know it, and through that knowledge of the truth that you may be one with the Heavenly Father and with my Son. That is the cognition which gives happiness on earth and opens the door of eternal life and infinite love. Thank you."
From the Gospel of John:
Pilate entered the praetorium again and called Jesus, and said to him, "Are you the King of the Jews?"
Jesus answered, "Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me?"
Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me; what have you done?"
Jesus answered, "My kingship is not of this world; if my kingship were of this world, my servants would fight, that I might not be handed over to the Jews; but my kingship is not from the world."
Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice."
Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" (John 18:33-38)
This
is the moment of confrontation between true wisdom and the wisdom that
comes from the world. Pilot had built his career on knowing how to
manipulate his circumstances according to the politics of his world, the
earthly world of the Roman Empire. Pilot thought he knew what was wise
for him. Truth for Pilot was always relative, hinged on what would get
him more power.
Jesus
came bearing another wisdom, one that was hinged not on this world but
on the love of His Father. Jesus' wisdom led Him to the Truth that comes
from above. Jesus was not a power broker who manipulated others for His
own purposes. Jesus was instead a King who came from above: "My
kingship is not of this world; if my kingship were of this world, my
servants would fight, that I might not be handed over to the Jews; but
my kingship is not from the world." Jesus' life was in the Father's hands, and He was ready to die to proclaim that Truth. "Into Your hands I commend my Spirit." This is the Truth that comes from above.
Pilot
could not understand Jesus. He could not comprehend Jesus' wisdom. And
He could not comprehend Jesus' truth. In this meeting two wisdoms
collided. And only one was victorious.
Don't
be fooled, though Pilot looked like the victor, and Pilot's wisdom
mades earthly sense, we know differently. There is a deeper wisdom here,
and the only Truth. And it is expressed in the Resurrection.
"Pilate
said to him, 'So you are a king?' Jesus answered, 'You say that I am a
king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to
bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my
voice.'" Jesus' voice will be heard for all eternity. It is the
voice of the King. It is the voice of the Good Shepherd, calling his
sheep into eternity. It is the voice of the Victor proclaiming salvation
to all who cry out for it. Jesus bore witness to the truth on Calvary,
and at the tomb on Easter Sunday,
when He rose from the dead. This is the wisdom of God which leads to
the knowledge of the Truth which in turn leads to unity with the
Heavenly Father and His Son.
Our Lady is equipping us to enter into the Passion with our eyes open. "I am leading you on the way of true wisdom, because only with true wisdom can you come to know true peace and the true good."
