NIGHT REFLECTION
Message #81, given to Fr. Gobbi on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is titled: 'Offer and Suffer with Me.'
Our Lady starts off telling Fr. Gobbi that through the entreaty and wish of Her dying Son on the Cross, She became our True Mother, the Mother of us all! And because of Her Assumption into Heaven, body and soul, Her Immaculate Heart has never ceased beating!
But it has also never ceased to be pained and saddened because of so many of Her children who are on the road to hell, disregarding the Sacrifice of Jesus and Our Lady's sufferings. Yes, Mother Mary is in Heaven, perfectly happy with Her Son Jesus, with the Angels and the Saints, in the Most Holy Trinity! But because She is Our Mother, She is bound to us on earth and like bi-location, She feels our pain, our bitterness and misery, all our sufferings in Her maternal Heart!
She especially suffers for those who are in sin, for those in need, and for those who are farthest away. She greatly desires that they return to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and her Immaculate Heart! Yes, She who is happy in Heaven, grieves close to us on earth. A mystery for sure! Finally Our Lady invites us to join our suffering to Hers for the great Purification that is coming!
She asks us not to be anxious about the Purification: When will it come? This time is in the secret and merciful Heart of the Father. Don't try to figure it all out. Live the present moment, that's all the Father asks, not the past, and not the future! If the chastisement comes, (conditional?) it will be only to bring about the renewal of the world! For the moment, suffer in the Heart of the Sorrowful Heart of Mother Mary, who begot us under the Cross!
