| October 11, 2011 Dear Family of Mary! "Dear children! Also today my motherly heart calls you to prayer, to your personal relationship with God the Father, to the joy of prayer in Him. God the Father is not far away from you and He is not unknown to you. He revealed Himself to you through my Son and gave you Life that is my Son. Therefore, my children, do not give in to temptations that want to separate you from God the Father. Pray! Do not attempt to have families and societies without Him. Pray! Pray that your hearts may be flooded with the goodness which comes only from my Son, Who is sincere goodness. Only hearts filled with goodness can comprehend and accept God the Father. I will continue to lead you. In a special way I implore you not to judge your shepherds. My children, are you forgetting that God the Father called them? Pray! Thank you." (October 2, 2011 Mirjana) Our Lady impresses on us the importance of prayer in this message. In order to form a relationship with the Father, we must pray. To avoid temptation, we must pray. To establish our families and communities firmly and happi  Image via Wikipedia ly, we must pray. To be filled with the goodness of Jesus, we must pray. To help and support our shepherds, we must pray. Prayer is essential. I have been feeling lately a great attraction to prayer. It must be grace. But I have had the growing sense that every prayer counts. Every prayer, no matter how small, is consequential. It could be the grace of this time, this special time in which Our Lady is with us. But it seems like each Hail Mary, each Glory Be, carries with it a blessing. The feeling I am having is that each prayer contributes to the weight of grace being won today for the world. I imagine a great scale. On one side are all the miseries and sins of our world. On the other is amassed all the prayers pouring forth from the hearts of God's children, one by one, filling it up with grace. It feels like that scale is tipping slowly but surely towards the side of grace. As impossible as it seems, grace is winning because of each of our prayers. Our Lady once said to us: "Through prayer, little children, you obtain joy and peace. Through prayer you are richer in the mercy of God. Therefore, little children, let prayer be light for each one of you. Especially, I call you to pray for all those who are far from God, that they would be converted. Then our hearts will be richer because God will rule in the hearts of all people. Therefore, little children, pray, pray, pray. Let prayer begin to reign in the whole world." (August 25, 1989) Prayer might be beginning to reign in the world, it just might be. Our prayers may be helping! God's grace right now is incredibly strong...so very strong. He is offering us something wonderful. But it will come through prayer. "Without unceasing prayer you cannot experience the beauty and greatness of the grace which God is offering to you. Therefore, little children, at all times fill your heart with even the smallest prayers." (February 25, 1989) It is through even these smallest prayers that we will contribute to this grace which God offers the world. Unceasingly we can offer our little prayers to the pile, and God will multiply their strength! This seems to be the time, the time of grace! "Especially now, in this time of grace, may your heart yearn for prayer." (November 25, 2002) In Jesus and Mary! |
