St. Paul of the Cross

Dear Family of Mary!

"God has sent me among you so that I may help you. If you so wish, grasp the Rosary. Even the Rosary alone can work miracles in the world and in your lives."

(January 25, 1991)

Just a short witness to the power of the Rosary. The past two weeks have been a bit bumpy, as our son Mike's wife, Annie, was due to have their sixth baby and she was having some complications. We have had their other 5 children overnight several times as mommy and daddy went in and out of the hospital and the excitement and anticipation of a new sister has been intense. But Tuesday, it began to be too much. Annie was having difficulties. She was being induced but the labor was not progressing, and she was getting very weary. The children at home with us were very worried for their mother and new sister.

Earlier that day we had asked for prayer, even on the online Rosary. And we know that many of you were praying for Annie. Many thanks! But the day dragged on, with no progress. We always pray an evening Rosary, so we sat the children down at about 5:00 pm to pray. They prayed with all their hearts for mommy and baby. We finished the rosary, and little Ana, who is 2, began to jump up and down and declare, "I'm a big sister! I'm a big sister!" (Her guardian angel must have told her!) And right then, Mike called with the news that Suzanna Marie had been born! Right after our rosary!

We later found out that the baby had not progressed down the birth canal, and the doctor was considering a C-section. He agreed to try one last time to locate the baby's head, and if it was near enough, he would break the water and see what happened. As we were praying the Rosary, the doctor found the head, and decided to proceed, and the little one was born very quickly thereafter.

The children and grandma and grandpa surely had grasped the Rosary, and that one Rosary, prayed at just the right time, worked a miracle. Such a beautiful miracle! Our Lady has given us such a lifeline in the Rosary. We can turn to the Rosary in time of need, knowing it will connect us to the Lord immediately. And we can pray it for hours and hours, because it is so simple and comforting. It can get us through the most difficult challenges. It is always ready to hand. The Rosary is incredible!

"If you so wish, grasp the Rosary. Even the Rosary alone can work miracles in the world and in your lives."

Thank you, dear Mother Mary for the Rosary!

In Jesus and Mary!

PS. This coming November 17th Mary TV ( www.marytv.tv) will stream live from St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna an evening of prayer in thanksgiving for 30 years of Our Lady's apparitions in Medjugorje!   The evening begins at 4:00 pm Vienna time (in the USA at 10:00 am, EST) with testimonies (also from Medjugorje) the Rosary, Our Lady's apparition, Mass (with Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn presiding).  The evening concludes with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 9:00 PM Vienna time (3:00 pm EST in the USA).

Please spread word to everyone on your email list - asking everyone to spread news of this event to their own email lists so as many people as possible will know about it.  Our ability to get word out is very limited - please help.    Remember, Ivan has told us that Our Lady prays over those connected through the internet the same as she prays over the people gathered with her in the Cathedral....and the religious items they have for her to bless are blessed by her the same as those religious items placed right in front of her during her apparition.  Let's take advantage of the incredible grace being offered to us: at www.marytv.tv  on Nov. 17th beginning at 10:00 am (EST).  We will be streaming the evening live in English and also at www.marytv.tv  in Spanish.

And also, pray for Denis and me in Chicago at the Totally Yours Conference, October 22-23, at the Rolling Meadows Holiday Inn. We will speak during the morning session on October 22!! Thanks! (Contact information: http://www.totallyyours.org  Phone: (630) 279-8424
