Are you free to be?
When Saint Paul spoke of being freed from living according to the flesh and the deeds of the body, he didn’t mean so much the physical body as he did the person who lived in a self-centered way and did not feel any dependence on God. Liberty from sin means freedom to be children of God. It was the Spirit—Christ’s Spirit—that does the liberating. Jesus also spoke of freedom when he healed people of illnesses and made them free to be full persons. What can you be made free of?

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
