When I saw this today it reminded me of what we are going through right now.
All kidding aside, I took Marianne for her weekly Procrit shot this morning and didn’t have the $43 to pay for it. As a matter of fact, we owe the doctor for the last three shots, which is a total of $129.00. I just paid the mortgage, electric and water bills, condo fees, etc. and I am broke. So I asked the doctor if she could give us a break on the cost of the shots. She said “No! The Procrit costs me a lot and I can’t give it away!” I said, Could you have some patience with the bill and I’ll pay it as soon as I can?” She said: “No, and there will be no more shots until you pay!”
I was shocked and didn’t expect that answer. So, somehow I have to scrape up about $200.00 for next week or Marianne will not get her weekly Procrit shot to keep her blood cells up to par.
Please say a prayer for us, so like the guy above, we get “all I deserve. Amen”
