St. Catherine of Alexandria, Thanksgiving Day in the USA

Dear Family of Mary!

"Little children, give thanks unceasingly for all that you possess, for each little gift which God has given you, so that a joyful blessing always comes down from God upon your life." (August 24, 1988)

"Little children, rejoice in everything that you have, and give thanks to God because everything is God's gift to you.

That way you will be able to give thanks for everything in your life and discover God in everything, even in the smallest flower." (April 25, 1989)

Here in the United States, we celebrate a day of Thanksgiving as a country!

It is a blessed day in which we stop and take stock of all that God has given us, all His many blessings, and we reorient ourselves towards Him with gratitude.  I found the litany (below) and I think it fits well with this day of thanks.

I want to thank all of you who receive these emails for your steadfastness and dedication to Our Lady of Medjugorje!  Thank you for recognizing her presence with us through Medjugorje, and thank you for responding to her call!  We are truly blessed to live in these days when Our Lady comes to us every day with her blessing of peace!

Today she will give us another message!  Can't wait!

You give us Mary as our mother and our model.

Father, we give you thanks.

You invite us to love you by loving others.

Father, we give you thanks.

You give us talents and gifts to use for your glory.

Father, we give you thanks.

You help us to do good works for you.

Father, we give you thanks.

You nourish us with the bread of life.

Father, we give you thanks.

You give us the cup of salvation.

Father, we give you thanks.

You have given us your Spirit.

Father, we give you thanks.

You promise us the joys of heaven.

Father, we give you thanks.

You call us to sing your praises for ever.

Father, we give you thanks.

Beloved God,

you have given us all grace and life

through the hands of Christ our Saviour.

With Jesus, we bless your name.

With him we thank you.

With Christ our Lord, we pray to you:

Our Father, in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your Name,

Your Kingdom come,

Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven,

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins

as we forgive those who sin against us.

Save us from the time of trial,

and deliver us from evil.

Amen.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
