People cutting across religions are flocking to a Catholic home in New Delhi after news spread that pictures of the Mother Mary shed blood.
The phenomenon “may be a sign to increase the faith of the people,” Father Binto Kilukkan, priest in-charge of Aya Nagar parish, told ucanews.com on Feb. 14.
The priest also said the “miracle” has occurred to remind people to avoid sins and pray more.
Gracy Thomas, a parishioner, said she noticed blood stains on a Mother Mary’s painting on Feb. 7. She told ucanews.com that three pictures bled for three days.
Ever since hundreds of people have lined up on the ground floor apartment to recite rosaries and sing praises to God, she added.
Sneha Joy, a visitor, said people’s spirit of prayer has impressed her. “It has strengthened my faith in Mother Mary,” she added.
Thomas said the people, who gathered in her house on Feb. 8, has seen the pictures bleed.
Thomas, who attends Mass and recites rosaries several times a day, considers the phenomenon as a special blessing to her family of four.
Father Deepak Soren, another priest who has seen the pictures, believes God has performed a miracle to bring people closer to him.
Delhi archdiocese is yet to comment on the phenomenon.

Mother Mary said at Fatima: "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the sure way which will lead you to God." St. Thomas Aquinas said: "The things we love tell us who we are!" With that in mind, I will try to post each day something about Our Blessed Lady, items about the Holy Roman Catholic Church, and public domain Catholic books too! I pray you enjoy my ministry! Below are two albums of pictures that I created: 1. Our grand daughter Adrianna. 2. Tears of Mary!
