February 15, 2011 Dear children of Medjugorje, praised be Jesus and Mary! 1 – On February 2nd, Mirjana had her monthly apparition in Italy. After the apparition, she gave us the following message: “Dear Children, you are gathering around me, you are seeking your way, you are seeking, you are seeking the truth but are forgetting what is the most important, you are forgetting to pray properly. Your lips pronounce countless words, but your spirit does not feel anything. Wandering in darkness, you even imagine God Himself according to yourselves, and not such as He really is in His love. Dear children, proper prayer comes from the depth of your heart, from your suffering, from your joy, from your seeking the forgiveness of sins. This is the way to come to know the right God, and by that also yourselves, because you are created according to Him. Prayer will bring you to the fulfillment of my desire, of my mission here with you, to the unity of God's family. Thank You”. Our Lady blessed everyone present, thanked them and called us to pray for priests. 2 – In Egypt, the Gospa's messages continue to spread. With the recent events, our friends pray and remain in peace. They give themselves to Him who can do anything and who prepares wonderful things. The person responsible for Children of Medjugorje in Cairo told me she prayed like this: “Jesus, don’t forget that Egypt protected you when you were little, so now, please protect Egypt!” Let us accompany them with our fervent prayers so that “Protect Egypt” includes all of the Middle East! 3 – On February 6th we celebrated the 30th anniversary of Marthe Robin’s birth in Heaven. On that occasion, and in accordance with the message of February 2nd on prayer, here is an extremely beautiful extract from Marthe Robin's writings on January 29, 1930: “Let us pray: a prayer from our hearts constantly, a prayer from our lips from time to time. Jesus Himself taught us the formula: the Our Father, so short and so complete. Let’s not recite our prayer, let’s pray it. It’s the soul that must command our movement. It’s the soul that must bend our knees and incline our body; it’s the soul that must join our hands, lower our eyelids or direct our eyes toward Heaven. It’s our soul that rising toward God causes our entire being to follow. Praying is the most important, the most urgent of our duties! Let us pray then and may all our prayers, our hymns, escape from our hearts like flaming arrows of love. Let us offer our suffering and our sacrifices, our work, let us mortify ourselves, let us do penance for a missionary, for the priests, our pastors, let us help them in their lives as Apostles! Let us love for those who fight. The communion of the saints is mutual, fraternal aid”. 4 – The message of January 25 was received with enthusiasm by all the friends of Medjugorje! It must be said that the Gospa rarely congratulates us on being open to her call and to the love of God! Like a mother, she is giving a message for all her children. But among her children, there are some who listen to her and some who do not. She suffers a great deal because of those who do not listen and she does everything to call them back. But there was also a need for a message to encourage those whom she describes so magnificently as “the multitude of those who have said YES.” May each of us be part of this blessed “multitude” and persevere in the YES as she herself persevered in the YES that she gave in Nazareth! (See Nota Bene) A personal testimony: when the Lord Jesus called me to consecrate myself totally to Him, in April of 1976, I was making a Holy Hour in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. I remember it so well, as if it were yesterday. Several things struck me then, during this particular time between His very clear call and my response (which had to be clear, also - either definitely Yes or definitely No!) - Jesus gave me complete freedom. No pressure, no "emotional blackmail," no insistence even! I could tell him Yes or No with the same ease. - Jesus addressed me as He would a poor person, not as He would a rich person. He did not try to seduce me with beautiful promises. - Jesus showed me such love that I understood at once that no one in the world could love me the way He loved me. So, at the end of a single minute, I surrendered to Him and gave Him my Yes. And my life was turned upside down. When I reflect on that moment of silence during which Jesus was waiting for my answer, and how easy it would have been to say No, I thank God for helping me say Yes. What if I had said no?! I had no idea then of the plan that He had for my life, I knew only one thing: that I was going to spend my life with Him and for Him. And that alone filled me with joy. After so many years, as His plan for my life has revealed itself a little more each day, I see that it was above all He who said Yes that day, since He remains faithful beyond all imagination. My tiny, little Yes, so fragile and so often muddled, He took as it was, in order to transform it, to render it like His own and to present it to the Father. When I see the world today, the conflicts, the divorces, the agony in families torn apart, how I thank my Lord for having asked me for this sacrifice on that day! I am so grateful that this little Yes of mine, fragile but sincere, was good enough for Him to take me into His boat .. . . and what a boat! It takes on water sometimes, the storms make it pitch hard, but it will not sink. Jesus is in it. All of this was in order to share with you this certitude: Saying Yes to God is the most beautiful adventure you can live on this earth. You will never regret having said yes to God! Dearest Gospa, thank you for having given us Jesus. What would we do without Him? Please, help us persevere in the Yes, in every detail of our daily life! Sister Emmanuel + (Translated from French) ----------------------------------------- Nota Bene - "Dear children! Also today I am with you and I am looking at you and blessing you, and I am not losing hope that this world will change for the good and that peace will reign in the hearts of men. Joy will begin to reign in the world because you have opened yourselves to my call and to God's love. The Holy Spirit is changing a multitude of those who have said 'yes'. Therefore I desire to say to you: thank you for having responded to my call." (Message of Jan. 25, 2011) PS 1- Sr Emmanuel is preparing a booklet on the Rosary. Mother Mary said at Fatima: "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the sure way which will lead you to God." St. Thomas Aquinas said: "The things we love tell us who we are!" With that in mind, I will try to post each day something about Our Blessed Lady, items about the Holy Roman Catholic Church, and public domain Catholic books too! I pray you enjoy my ministry! Below are two albums of pictures that I created: 1. Our grand daughter Adrianna. 2. Tears of Mary!
