Dear Family of Mary!
Hello everyone, from Medjugorje! Tom and Mary Matasso, Denis and I arrived yesterday at about 4:30 pm at Dragan Zovko's house where we will stay for the first week in Medjugorje! Everything went smoothly enough on our trip. As always there were tense moments, such as 1. when my ticket was booked incorrectly and 2. Denis left his passport at a desk in the airport and had to rush back to find it before boarding our last plane But each time we hit a bump in the road we started to pray, and the bump leveled out for smooth sailing! Thank you for your prayers.
The welcome at Dragan and Maja's was like coming home. We are grateful to them for their hospitality. The open-hearted love we received from them demonstrates to me of the great gift of hospitality that the parishioners of Medjugorje have shown to pilgrims for over 30 years now. They are so generous, patient, kind, and welcoming that pilgrims begin to consider Medjugorje their second home and want to return again and again. Our Lady works through their big hearts and gracious service. Thank you, Dragan and Maja, for all you have done for us and for countless pilgrims throughout the years!
After a wonderful meal, we set off to St. James Church for the Sunday Evening Mass. It was packed, as usual. Many, many families were there with their children. It is beautiful to see them soaking up the piety and peace. Fr. Svet celebrated Mass and gave the homily. He mentioned at the beginning of Mass that he had just encountered a man who is a bus driver. Five years ago he was driving a bus full of American pilgrims from Sarajevo, when a terrible accident occurred. It was not the driver's fault, but still many people were seriously injured. It was the beginning of the way of the cross for that man. But, Fr. Svet said that when we give ourselves completely to God and to Mary, we will encounter crosses. This is part of the story of Medjugorje. (Let's pray for this good man who suffers from that cross, and for all those who were on the bus that day. Jesus, bless them and heal them and renew them in your love!)
I also want to share a message that Our Lady gave through Ivan last Friday night at 10:00 on Apparition Hill. Ana Shawl reported:
Tonight Ivan had his apparition for the prayer group on the top of apparition Hill. Our Lady told Ivan that she would appear on the mountain to him at 10:00 pm. People were starting to gather throughout the day and it was hot here. Before every apparition Ivan and the group and all who are on the hill prepare for our Lady's arrival with the praying of the rosary. After this, Ivan gets on his knees and once we see this, then everyone kneels who can kneel.
Tonight, Our Lady came Joyful and happy with the greeting praised be Jesus my dear children. She prayed over all who were there and especially prayed for the sick. She blessed us with her motherly blessing and blessed everything that we brought to be blessed. Ivan recommended us all, all of our petitions, our needs, our families and after this Our Lady said: "Dear children, know that your Mother loves you and with love I want to lead you. I have come to tell you that God exists. Therefore also today I invite you to decide for Him. Place Him in your lives, in your families; in the first place and go together with Him go towards the future. Dear children, through this time of grace which is coming, I desire for you to renew my messages and for you to tell me, 'yes... yes'. Thank you, dear children, that you said to Me, yes." After this, Ivan prayed with Our Lady for a bit in a private conversation and she left in the sign of a light and a cross with the words, Go in peace my dear children.
And with that I am going to go in peace as well. I am so tired! But so happy to again be with Our Lady in Medjugorje. You are all here in my heart!

PS. I took some nice pictures to share with you and then I downloaded them incorrectly, so I can't use them! Wouldn't you know! I guess Our Lady wants me to put prayer in the first place right now, and not try to be some kind of fancy reporter! I hope I will have some pictures, but not today.
